Unless you plan on groping her or putting pubes in her coke you're probably okay.

I still disagree that asking whether she is gay is beside the point or intrusive.

You know what would be awesome? If she got confirmed and 5 minutes later she said she is a lesbian. I would laugh my ass off.

What?!?!

But seriously, it would be some delicious irony.

I don't get how its irony. It would be more a sad commentary on the prevalence of bigotry that someone is forced to hide it if they are. It just shouldn't matter.

But, I'm bigoted because I'm conservative.

No, it shouldn't matter - but I guarantee you that it would change a few votes.

The president said he asked the Republican senators to help him on energy and climate change issues and on a comprehensive immigration plan that would toughen border enforcement, crack down further on employers of illegal immigrants and provide a path to citizenship for the millions of illegal immigrants long established here.

“You’ve got to meet me on solving the problem long-term. It’s not enough just to talk about the National Guard down at the border,” Mr. Obama said he told the lawmakers. “You don’t even have to meet me halfway. I’ll bring most Democrats on these issues. I’m just looking for 8 or 10 of you.”

Yeah, right, like that's going to happen.

Yea, Obama's SO compromising. You have to do it his way, or it's the highway.

Which is why we have a public option and why we stopped that offshore drilling before it became a problem.

I agree with your first sentence literally, since so far, he has been. He has extended offers and overtures to the GOP on every major initiative, and signalled willingness to compromise on things. The GOP has basically decided to be a brick wall.

Immigration authorities in Berwyn, Illinois arrested Puerto Rican Eduardo Caraballo in a stolen car case, but when his mother posted his bail, he was detained because authorities didn’t believe he was a legal citizen. His mother brought his birth certificate, but Eduardo was unable to answer some questions about the island because he’s lived all his life on the mainland. Eduardo was detained for more three days and threatened with deportation–to Mexico.

Why?

Do you think the constant oh she isn't ladylike stuff is beside the point and intrusive?

LMAO. And there's some ocean property in Arizona to sell you. The "compromise" on health care was for the DEMOCRATS, not Republicans. And it's still government run health care - the bill IS a public option but evidently comprehension seems to be lacking on this point.

The offshore drilling was a GREAT idea, wasn't it? That was for Republicans? Oh, to buy votes for cap and trade. Yeah. Nice "compromise".

Why don't you ask Chuck Grassley how much of the Health Care act was written by Republicans, because last time I checked - he's all about taking credit for the bill he tried to block.

Maybe if you took your Rush colored glasses off long enough to look at reality, you might notice that there are quite a few unhappy people on the left. Because Obama has been too compromising, and because he turned out not to be the liberal that he never said that he was.

Then you have no idea what the law really is.

I thought my side thought it was a big f***ing deal?

I'm confused.

Well, I'm bigoted, racist, stupid, a drone, don't understand what Barackus the Great is trying to do for me, all because I'm conservative.

And the health care bill "is nothing like you wanted" because it doesn't contain the words "public option" even though the whole damn bill is a "public option" without those words. So, whichever arguement you want to bring up (the bill sucks and it doesn't go nearly far enough or it's the greatest thing ever) you have it covered.
