Jenksismyhero
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 16, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) Lol, yeah or that. Instead of being known as the Al Capone city, we're known as the 2012 NATO riot city.
GoSox05
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) I have checked out most of the big ones over the years, but I am getting no where near this one. Yeah this one has a chance to get out of control. Next thing you know you are getting hit with a sound cannon.
IlliniKrush
Every time a huge military chopper flies through the city, I have this slight worry for a millisecond that we're under attack or something.
NorthSideSox72
I've moved all the political talk over to a new thread in the Buster. Any political discussion can happen there. This thread is about the event, the city, the issues that come up, etc.
SexiAlexei
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/05/16/clo...ng-nato-summit/ I'm sure throwing 1000 pies around won't cause any violence. I think that is going on tomorrow, so it should start the weekend off on a nice note.

southsider2k5
We just had four military choppers fly over the south side of Michigan City at a low altitude.
IlliniKrush
Weird to walk around tonight and see normal people going to dinner, and others on their way to a protest. Also turn a corner and see about 30 cops hanging out everywhere you turn. Lots of caravans on the highway with 20 cop cars at a time. Odd night.
