Wise Master Buehrle
Just seeing which of them my fellow Soxtalkians will be better. Personally, I'd trade Sweeney. Meaning I have more faith in Anderson. This is, of course, if they hypothetically had the same trade value. If I recall correctly (IIRC to you AIM-nerds ) , Anderson was a top pick in the draft, one of the first thirty. Sweeney was just a pick in the later rounds that turned out to have some great raw skills.
Goober
how about neither?

Cerbaho-WG
Uhm. Gun to my head? If Sweeney corrects his little flaw in his swing, which I have faith that he will, Anderson...GUN TO MY HEAD. The image of a left-handed, power hitting outfielder is too much to let go.

IIRC he was still playing HS ball, their season hadn't ended yet.
Rowand44
IIRC he was still playing HS ball, their season hadn't ended yet. I believe he didn't play hs ball. Because I thought where he's from(Iowa?) doesn't have hs ball. Is that right or did I just make this up?

DBAHO
Anderson is definitely the safer prospect, I can't see no reason why he can be in our outfield in the future IF he can stay healthy. Sweeney has a higher ceiling, but it's going to take a while to get to it, if the White Sox can stay patient with him (hey they did with Joe Borchard right?) even if doesn't contribute great numbers, I think he'll be a star. But it depends which option KW is willing to take.
knightni
Sweeney just looked awesome in ST. I'd hate to have the Sox trade him.
Nokona
How about Nanita + Brice. I'd rather trade those two then for one of these two.
Heads22
We have baseball in Iowa. Where do you think Cal Eldred came from?
Rowand44
We have baseball in Iowa. Where do you think Cal Eldred came from? Maybe it wasn't Iowa. I thought I read somewhere that where Sweeney came from didn't have high school baseball. But I could be completely wrong about this. Heads22
The season here is just much shorter....it goes from very late May to mid July.

winninguglyin83
keep Anderson. he can play center field and he's closer to being ready for the big leagues. Sweeney is more of a risk, but he might have more of an upside. trade Spidale and Young instead.

Old Socks
Why would you want to trasde either one of them? What is the sense to this post?
Wise Master Buehrle
Why would you want to trasde either one of them? What is the sense to this post? To see if we were in a trade situation, and we had to trade either one or it was a no-go, which would you trade? That couldn't have been hard to figure out... BobDylan
I say Anderson. I can't go against what was said about him this ST. That was downright impressive.
danman31
Always always always trade the guy that is in the lower level. This is why I hated trading Reed. He was so close to the bigs. I'd rather give 2 for 1 at lower levels than a guy in AAA (say Young/Brice/Nanita and Sweeney/Anderson instead of Reed). Granted they both started at W-S, but Anderson raked and Sweeney, well, Sweeney didn't. Meanwhile Anderson is off to a hot start in Bham. Sweeney may have more upside, but he has to hit better than .266 in high A before I'm convinced he's as good as advertised. He also has 0 power and after everyone who had Borchard over Reed because of his power I'd take the guy with power, Anderson. I'm not saying Sweeney sucks, and I'm not saying he is going to be a bust, but I'd always rather keep the more sure bet. In this case that is Anderson. BTW, good question. I see much debate going on about this question in the future like Reed/Borchard.
