aboz56
Peter Gammons was just on ESPN News and said that Thomas has visited with the Athletics, he is in great shape and he feels that a deal with the A's will happen soon for Frank. Just an FYI for all interested. Best of luck goes out to Frank if this is indeed accurate reporting by Peter Gammons.

aboz56
Here comes an even tougher time for us beating the A's in Oakland.

AddisonStSox
...and with that, the White Sox bid farewell to the best player ever to don their uniform. Do it right, Frank. Finish your career with the A's and don't become a Kenny Lofton/Ricky Henderson. That's all I ask. Best of luck to Big Frank.

Balance
Damn. I was hoping that he'd choose to retire as a South Sider.
Harry Chappas
Let's hope for an MVP award and ice his way into the HOF. Oakland would become my second favorite team.
Balance
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) Let's hope for an MVP award and ice his way into the HOF. Oakland would become my second favorite team. If this is true, I'll respect him. I won't boo him. But if the Big Hurt knocks some pitches over the fence against the White Sox, I won't be cheering. Sorry, I like Frank, and appreciate his work on the South Side, but the big man is gone, and we have new potential HOF in town. Lets hope we his an MVP award..... Wha?!?!?!?!? SoxFan1
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) I was watching TV and typing.... Fixed. Gotcha. I was like WTF is he saying!?!? Oh, and I hope Thome gets an MVP award too. PK even.
bjm676
Good luck to Frank. At least it's not the Twins, which had been rumored.
White Sox Josh
ugh it will be so disturbing to see him in an A's Uniform.
Balta1701
I don't think he's going to be healthy enough to make a huge difference for them...but Frank...Good luck getting to that 500 plateau.
witesoxfan
Not shocked in the least. Frank Thomas is the prototype/stereotypical Moneyball player...takes walks, hits for power, hits for a solid average, can't play defense. Gonna be weird seeing him in that piss and puke though. I think or hope everyone here wishes Frank nothing but the best. Also Addy...I, personally dont want him retiring as an Oakland Athletic. I want him retiring as a Chicago White Sox. Sure will, but you'll get over it once you see Jenks blow him away with some powder river heat (see Jeff Bagwell, Game 1 World Series, Top 8th, 2 outs.) greasywheels121
The A's hats don't have such large logos, and raggedy edges. Also, they don't have faded pinstripes. I won't accept this as truth, until he officialy signs.
