ChiliIrishHammock24
He wants to be a pitcher! OF Brian Anderson informs #Royals that he wants to become a pitcher after failing to make club. Will get the chance at the lower levels. Hope he does well!

ChiliIrishHammock24
It's true from my end. Now maybe the Royals guy on Twitter is pulling our legs.
zenryan
The real April Fools will be on BA when he realizes he's Brian Anderson and no one really cares.
Cowch
Maybe after he becomes a RP the Sox can trade to get him back.

daa84
IIRC he was a reliever his first year in college at Arizona...i remember reading a report saying he was low 90s with his fastball back then I can't say I blame the guy...he's getting older now and if he cant make the royals as an OF, why not try something? Yes, in 2002. He was not very good though.
JorgeFabregas
I actually saw some chatter about this on Royals blog comments within the last week or two. It seems like a stupid financial decision. He could make a nice living playing for the next few years splitting time between the majors and AAA. ThunderBolt
This story depresses me for some reason. I guess it has a lot to do with me watching highlights of the blackout game and seeing BA finish it off with the diving catch in center. It's a damn shame he could never put it together. joeynach
Dude couldnt even make the Royals roster as a backup. Looks like his time is up, though for some reason the royals did sign Pods and Ankiel.
southsider2k5
That's pretty funny. If you can't hit em, pitch em.
Dizzy Sox
The article gets even better...it talks about how Josh Fields is hurt and might start the season on the DL, and that Wilson Betemit may open as KC's regular 3rd baseman with Gordon out. Yikes.
