SoIL
Per Rotoworld. White Sox signed OF Jeremy Reed to a minor league contract. Reed opted for free agency after being sent to the minor leagues late last month. The 29-year-old outfielder was 3-for-21 (.143) with the Blue Jays this season and was batting .271/.356/.355 with two homers and 14 RBI in 155 at-bats with Triple-A Las Vegas. Golden boy returns home.

chw42
In his only full year, Jeremy Reed did produce 2.2 WAR, mostly because of his defense, which I'm pretty sure is no longer what it used to be.

No most likely just to give some insurance at the AAA level. I would like to see d wise back before Reed, but that ain't gonna happen

BigEdWalsh
I saw him play for Las Vegas this year. I thought it was kinda sad seeing him playing in AAA. It seems like forever ago that he was a White Sox top prospect.

JPN366
One thing everyone has overlooked, he made himself more versatile last year with the Mets by playing first base. Kotsay replacement?

Kotsay replacement? Haha now that would be coming full circle considering I remember a lot of people comparing Reed to Kotsay when he was in our organization.
