All I want for my birthday is a big f***ing return for Sharp. 1st RD pick, top prospect, NHL D-man, give me it all Mr. Bowman.

I'd love that, but I don't know if Hawks get any of that lol.

I hope Bickell + are long gone before Sharp. He's going to be missed alot more than people think. Plus, I still would like to see the Hawks have insane depth at forward once again.

The hawks have fill in's for Sharp in theory though that can generate points. Of course some of that is based on the KHL success but it is what it is.

re bold, i am not sure who you are referring Sharp or Bickell.

if it is Bickell, yeah i think this board, esp me will miss a player who is making 4 mil a yr and who talked about a 4 hit a game..... yeah, right.

if it Sharp, i agree, he will be missed, i like what he brings to the game and he is a threat. granted, last season wasn't a good yr for him, but he is still a threat. the opposing team will need to keep that in the back of their mind when facing the hawks. those are the little things that a players bring to the game.

Pretty obvious I meant Sharp since I said I hope Bickell is gone long before him. He wasn't great this past season, but he was injured alot, played on the third line mostly, had his worst shooting percentage in his career, and still put up 40+ points.

Next time you say "hmm I don't think they'll get much in return for Sharp," consider that Buffalo just traded the 21st overall pick for David Legwand and Robin Lehner.

Lehner never developed into a good player and Legwand is a dinosaur. Buffalo needs every pick they can for their rebuild. Ugh. We are all so lucky to be fans of the Hawks and to have a FO with a clue.

i try not to assume anything, i keep getting in trouble.

re sharp. i can see the hawks feeling the need to get rid of him and his contract, esp if he may be on the downside of his career. but if not, i can live with him on the hawks.

but for cap flexibility yeah, sharp and bickell both needs to be gone.

The consensus is that Sharp and Bickell are gone. Is there a market for Bickell though and what kind of return?

Saad looks like is a for sure bet to be resigned.

What about Oduya, Vermette, and Richards? Who else am I missing that may be gone?

Oduya & Vermette will be too costly. Richards might stay if he's willing to play for cheap again. Desjardanis is another question mark. Versteeg may be traded too?

Bruins trade Dougie Hamilton to Calgary for the 15th overall pick and two second rounders. Wow, between Boychuck, Seguin, and now Hamilton, they have traded a lot of talent away.

And Kessel.

Things like that make it amazing how well the Hawks have juggled the salary cap.

Yeah, I'd say that's another talented one. Remembered Seguin, forgot about him.

The only real losses that were regrettable were Ladd and Leddy. It's gonna suck losing Sharp, but given his current age and productivity, it's not a huge loss, plus they've already gotten so much out of him.
