It coulda been worse, like the Astros. Greg, of course, believes that 2017 world series championship was totally not worth it, and they would have been better winning 70 games a year and not winning that title.4 points

The ability to like posts is the best part of this update. I'm being extremely generous with them.3 points

Some people aren't prepared for this shit LOL. I knew it could get bad. I'm all in for the struggle, as longs as we start to see some success with these young kids once they're here. I'd say they're allowed to b**** about the performance of players from game to game, but anything about the FO or people needing to be fired for this current team is bullshit, and I am honestly tired of seeing people b**** about the product on the field, when this is to be expected.3 points

I find it funny Trayce is our only run of the game. He's been here 2 days .2 points

It's not like he was overpowering last year. But he did a good job of throwing high fastballs and had good command of his changeup. Still not sure what happened to his slider. Go back and watch the Tigers game he excelled in last year. He dominated with that slider2 points

What an absolute miracle he signed with the sox, and this happened during a Sox home game a couple miles from one of the best brain treatment facilities on the planet.2 points

Exactly. He could end up as Gavin Floyd, but lets at least give him a shot. Dude is 23 fucking years old.2 points

I applaud Renteria for pulling out the team's most important player for dogging it in a game where they're getting blown out. Doing things like that help reinforce a work ethic and a culture amongst the players. Moncada will never do that again. I wonder what Abreu is going to say to him.2 points

If jobs are on the line right now then the organization is scrambling like Cleveland in football. You don't judge a team like this on W/L. You judge them a year or two down the road. In 2019 and 2020 you know darn well I'll be on the other side, but right now this is stay the course mode. THIS IS WHAT REBUILDING LOOKS LIKE. THIS IS THE PRICE WE'RE PAYING FOR GOING ALL IN ON 2015 AND 2016 AND LOSING THOSE BETS.2 points

The site looks great! Well done guys! Well worth the wait. The site is rebuilt, our team is being rebuilt and I just found out my 2nd baby and future sox fan will be a boy! Life is good. Great Scott!2 points

https://670thescore.radio.com/articles/rick-hahn-season-may-be-toughest-part-rebuild-white-sox Rick Hahn- "You've heard me say too much at the end of last season that I suspect this year's going to be perhaps the toughest part of the rebuild," This fiasco of a season was predicted by the Mastermind of the rebuild. It should not be a surprise to us. In reality, this is part of the plan. I believe what we are seeing now isn't even the top of the iceberg. In fact, when Kopech comes up and starts his growing pains, I expect people to say this rebuild is a bust. Remember he is far from a finished project. I don't even think Jimenez will be up to the Majors before September as some might suggest. He might even regress a bit in the minors. Patience people. In due time it will come. If you can ride this year out, the rewards will be more than worth it.1 point

I seriously doubt the FO thought it would be this bad. In a normal organization, jobs would be on the line, including the vaunted pitching coach, who, despite his rep., has rarely fielded a top staff despite some top talent.1 point

Actually, benching him is allowing him to learn while playing...1 point

LOL no. And I can't wait until he's declared a bust when he gives up 8 runs in his 10th start while having no control that day.1 point

I'd be more upset if he wasn't scolded for dogging it.1 point

I was astonished when they did better than this last August. I didn't know how that team won a game that month on paper. If you didn't think it would be like this then you haven't paid attention. "Nobody knew it would be like this". You mean like that 61 win Cubs team? The Astros winning 160 games combined over 3 seasons? Come on guys.1 point

For an organization that has trouble developing offensive players, drafting a guy with a known hitch like Collins was insane.1 point
-
This is my favorite post from everyone's rant here because obviously if we call up the guy who isn't 22 yet, clearly he'll be the one who knows how to repeat his delivery and control the ball every pitch against the World Series Champs right? He won't need any time to develop unlike all the other guys. I see no real issue with that logic.1 point

Davidson is one to follow IMO...but not one to have hope for. I think if he doesn't pan out it isn't much of a hit, but if he does...he can be useful. He's got the walks down...now he needs to make more consistent contact.1 point

Love the constructive feedback. This sort of info will help us as we continue to tailor out. For others...keep the feedback coming. And if you are a techy, if you've seen other cool features on other forums that you like, let us know and we can see what we can do.1 point

That's why Verlander should have thought of something wry or funny to say. He got the last laugh picking him off. He didn't need to explain the whole thing IMO, although I don't think he was that out of line in his explanation of why Timmy pissed him off.1 point

Guess what? This is an excellent take. How can any of the rebuilding lovers disagree? This is my take that you so beautifully worded. I beg Hahn lovers to re-read it please. Great take.1 point
-
It seems like that narrative changed 15 games in the season then. But it doesnt matter though if it's true or not. Hahn is going to say it regardless so I'm not sure why anyone would put faith in such a quote.1 point
-
Hahns going to say that regardless to help save his job. GMs will always lower expectations for themselves especially for a rebuild. No reason to listen to that quote at all.1 point

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 10:30 AM) Does anyone else worry about how stacked smackdown is and how little time there is for everyone? Undoubtedly, there will be wrestlers who get the short end of the stick. I'd hate for that to be Almas, Saniiity, Hardy, Samoa Joe, Asuka, Miz, etc. you get my point. On Raw, at least I feel confident that Owens/Zayn/Roode will have spots in the 3 hours and on PPV's. A big guy I worry about is Almas, he can't fit in the title picture immediately, so I hope they use him properly. Yes, I think they overdid a 2 hour roster. If the main event segment goes long, it leaves even less time for everyone else. On RAW, I think we'll start seeing extended segments, giving the opposite issue that Smackdown is sure to have.1 point
