This post makes my brain hurt. Why for the love of god must you name drop to this level. You clearly know a ton about baseball, just get to the point and create more coherent posts.1 point

He has literally been a top 15 player in baseball this year and you have people who wanted him to be sent down to AAA a week ago. Nobody's making those exit velocity jokes anymore, I wonder why.1 point

this type of game you want from him after his last game. Build up his confidence in his pitches, stay away from big innings. Something to build on going forward.1 point

1. Baby steps is correct. 2. Velo is up 2mph he was averaging 90 before and consistently 92-93 tonight. 3. Yes, he's having command issues. Yes he's not missing enough bats, but lots of weak contact. Only 2 hard hit balls all night, the Soler HR and the the lineout by Gordon to end the inning. So, a positive development. Be patient.1 point

I know we had no other options tonight...but can we PLEASE send Engel back down to AAA next month. PLEASE. I hate the idea of him hitting behind Moncada. Or anyone, for that matter. But especially Yoan.1 point

If you asked many here on Soxtalk that question last week, the answer would have been something akin to “no”.1 point

No, but that bomb the Moose hit is a homerun in Chicago. Probably hit it 415 feet. Think it was a hanging changeup.1 point

It's also worth asking how there could be 4 other QBs rated highly by a number of people if your staff doesn't believe in any of them.1 point

2018 is going to be a long year, I hope we do not call up and waste MLB service time this year. Let these guys get mature this year in minors.1 point

I would guess Moncada because of a sizable defensive advantage. I think Abreu will out OPS Moncada, but it won't be able to make up for the defensive chasm between the two.1 point

This is the biggest lie in politics. They don't. They hoard it, and complain about regulations, wages, taxes, etc. while raking in millions. Economic elites are the aristocrats of the USA. The sooner we admit that, the sooner we can start tackling the problems. These people are the leeches of society. They take all and give little, and we're supposed to be grateful for the crumbs that we receive.1 point

Josh 2:41 Between Swaggerty, Bohm and Madrigal, who do you think has the highest floor and highest ceiling? Kiley McDaniel 2:41 Floor is Madrigal, ceiling is probably Bohm but it's pretty close between the three LeBron is the GOAT 2:41 Have you heard even a whisper of Madrigal to Detroit? As a Tigers fan, I'd love it if we occasionally had a good hitting prospect. Kiley McDaniel 2:42 From what I've heard it ain't happenin1 point

"By failing to offer a clear alternative...." "Here's a rant on police violence, private prisons, corruption, and living wage, within the space of about 12 words, superimposed upon a pill bottle because that's where I get sent to prison, inside a living wage pill bottle. Everyone will clearly understand these cogent points".1 point

Has any team in recent memory assembled the level of pitching talent in their organization that the White Sox have? Let's just look at what they have: Pitchers with Ace Potential Carlos Rodon Michael Kopech Reynaldo Lopez Lucas Giolito Alec Hansen Dylan Cease Pitchers with #2/#3 Potential Dane Dunning Ian Clarkin Spencer Adams Pitchers with Backend Starter Potential Carson Fulmer Ricardo Pinto Jordan Stephens Jordan Guerrero A.J. Puckett Lincoln Henzman Kade McClure Pitchers with Relief Potential Nate Jones (HL) Aaron Bummer Jace Fry Zack Burdi (HL) Thyago Vieira (HL) Brian Clark Ian Hamilton (HL) Ryan Burr Victor Diaz Danny Dopico Tyler Johnson (HL) Kevin Escorcia Matt Foster J.B. Olson I'm certain I've forgotten some here, but basically the ideal is that at least 3 from category 1 live up to billing, at least 1 from category 2 lives up to billing, and at least 1 from category 3 lives up to billing. Also, all the pitchers that fail as starters become relief options, so you're looking at about 16 pitchers to fill 5 starting slots and 25 pitchers to fill 7 relief spots (the 11 in the starter categories that don't pan out as starters plus the 14 listed relief names. If ever a team was capable of fully stocking its pitching staff from within, it's this team.1 point

If she wants to play online with her friends she will need a subscription. If she is just playing by herself offline, she won't. I just got my first XBox this past December (I have been a PlayStation guy and still mostly am, but wanted a few exclusive games like Forza Horizon and Halo). I haven't signed up for an online subscription. You can use all the streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, etc.) and the 4K Blu Ray player (which was another reason to get me to buy one) without signing up for XBox Live, but online play in games is when you need a subscription.1 point

I wonder why they were returned to anyone? The man (not a kid) was an adult and should just have had his property seized. Why even give it to the dad? And still not comment, middle of the night tweet, etc from the President.1 point

I fucking hate when people say this. Is it too much to ask to have a similar quality of life and career prospects as our parents did? It seems so. Apparently if your entire life does not revolve around your career you're lazy. Apparently having a work-life balance is being "entitled" as well. Ask anyone who has done that the price they paid in their personal life. Not to mention debt slavery in the form of student loans. The entire economic system has turned into a predatory one. There is no give and take anymore. All give by the majority and all take by the economic elites. All of the things that literally "Made America Great" were the result of borderline socialist policies by FDR and Truman, combined with the capitalist ideas of upward mobility. Nobody wants to talk about that though. For an economy to work properly, we need a healthy balance of socialist policies and capitalist policies. Going full stop one way or the other isn't going to work. Step #1 is destroying the cartels that control all of the distribution of goods and services in the US. Regional companies were a thing because it promoted a healthier economy.1 point
