It's an attitude of you work for the Democratic party, they don't work for you. They do it because they know we have no other option. The other party went over the cliff. So they can guilt people into voting for them and also use it as an excuse when they lose. This is how we get to young people are just entitled brats and not how do we help young people and give them a reason to vote for us. Poor people are just lazy and that's why they don't vote instead of what can we do to make their lives better. A lot of people don't vote because they don't feel like anything will change if either party wins. There are so many votes that the Democrats could turn out with better messaging. Instead they are trying to convert the 30 independent moderate Republicans, who claim independence but vote R 95% of the time.

Khalil Mack's impact on the team has been discussed ad nauseam already, but for all I had heard about him before he came to the Bears, he's somehow even better than everyone said he was. There's really nothing even particularly special about what he does, either. He is just... better than everyone. He is either stronger than the blocker, faster, or a combination of both. No gimmicks.

Nobody has a right to use facebook or twitter. Last I checked the current position is that the media is the enemy of the people. If you want to start fighting for freedom of speech and press, the place to start is attacking our current administration. It probably would do the world good to stop being so reliant on facebook, twitter, etc. Maybe this will create some incentive to create new platforms for discussion.

Avi had an OPS of near .900 in 2017. He hit a career high in HRs last year in 360 ABs and was plagued by injuries. He has shown that he can hit for high average and hit for power. He will be 28 years old. He isn't a complete disaster in the OF. What on Earth is the point of cutting him? Why not give him another chance to see if he can put it all together. Maybe 2017 was a fluke. Maybe last year was because he was hampered by injuries the entire season. He has shown playable skills at the plate each of the last 2 seasons with a .330 BA then 19 HRs in 360 ABs. It isn't like he is over the hill and due to decline. Nor is he ridiculously expensive. The players that are competing with him for playing time are similar in age and less accomplished. He has shown to be the best of the bunch. Palka could be a contributor with his power, but shouldn't be penciled into an OF spot. Cutting Avi because of an 8 million salary seems completely bonkers to me. He was nearly a 5 WAR player a year ago. What is the harm in seeing if he bounces back?

Swing is shorter, strike zone smaller. To me it’s a huge advantage as long as you can generate enough power. But with the golf balls they are using, the smaller parks, and weight training, little guys have a much better shot of being able to do that than ever before. go to a PGA tour event. A lot of the top golfers are really little guys.
