Don't give the pass rushers the opportunity to get to the QB? This is a revolutionary idea from the tape. I'm shocked no one has come up with this before. I say teams should practice this. This must be the new analytics in football.
Not even reading this article because "emotion" being showed in baseball is at an all-time high right now. Seems like another "old man yells at cloud" type of title
At some point in 2016 I decided to just tune everyone who overuses the word "establishment" because I found that, by and large, they really have nothing of value to say, but they really, really, really want you to hear their opinions and take them seriously. The effect of this has been that I engage in a lot fewer circular discussions.
I agree with you. Nagy had an amazing second half with his play calling, but he got scared in overtime and settled for a 50 yard field goal from an average kicker. Parkey is decent but hes no Tucker, they should have tried to move the ball.
I'm glad they have Nagy but both losses can be partly blamed on his inexperience.
he was pissy in his post game presser...four "no comments" and overall pissy at questions. I like that he's pissed...but he's got nobody to blame (well...Fangio too)...but nobody to blame but himself. He gets cute when he should be pounding the ball on 1st and goal...and when he needs a critical 4 yards he gets all John Fox. He sure has a lot to learn about being a HC. This team WAS NOT prepared to play today....glad they had a leisurely week off. Probably filled up reading all the press clippings about how fucking great they are.
But you just can't continually leave points on the field like that. I don't mind losing (much...well that's a lie)...but PISSING AWAY games like this and the Packer game....goddamn. This team should be 5-0 and in the drivers seat of this division. To come out like they did today on offense and basically waste an entire half blowing off the dust of you comfy two weeks...complete bullshit.
I don’t think many agents would take that deal...they’d rather just cut a one year deal and go back into the market. It’s like saying he would only expect to earn $7-10 million combined (2020/21) in what should be his two career years at 27-29 because his arbitration salary would be $7-8 (this year alone), right? Just feels like it would create some bad will...if you believe in the player, you have to make a commitment, like they did with Tim Anderson.
In my memory, we have never had a player take a significant pay cut in their prime years and stick with the organization. It’s one of those “theoretically possible” situations, just feels unlikely.
Khalil Mack's impact on the team has been discussed ad nauseam already, but for all I had heard about him before he came to the Bears, he's somehow even better than everyone said he was. There's really nothing even particularly special about what he does, either. He is just... better than everyone. He is either stronger than the blocker, faster, or a combination of both. No gimmicks.
