Per my suggestion in the latest Machado thread, and with Chisoxfn's blessing, this is where I will post all the tweets and ST insider posts I can find. I'll update this as much as my workload and sanity will allow. Enjoy! Note: In terms of credibility, I'm pretty much going to include everything I can find that relates to rumors about the intentions of either involved teams or players. Whether Nightengale is a plant, or Bowden's been wrong about everything ever isn't really my focus and can be up for discussion. I mostly want to help the constant but understandable latecomer who pokes in just to ask, "What'd so-and-so say?"6 points

Are you actually going to share something? Nothing personal against you, but there’s nothing worse than someone announcing they have inside info and not saying what it is.5 points

I will not mention poop, for mentioning poop will result in an instant ban for anyone who does indeed mention poop. So, there is no way I will discuss poop - May it be as the result of Avi Garcia or any potentially under cooked meal or the pluggedup free agent market or a horribly constructed run-on sentence. Nope, not mentioning poop. Not once. Nice try.4 points

He was such a dick weed on the radio yesterday. I was thinking to myself, “dude, what have the Dodgers won?” They have a $180+ million payroll and can’t win a title. Stick it up your ass LA fans.4 points

Seriously guy, don't throw stones. You've been the king of misinformation and you do it with such contempt for everyone around here it's amazing you still come back.4 points

I missed the part where BW poses as an insider with sources and wanted attention to himself. He casually mentioned it in a thread and someone else created a thread for him to discuss.4 points

Typical Caufield rambling about a bunch of things without correlation. He’s still eating crow for his hot take on Soria last off-season.3 points

Getting rid of Happ, Schwarber, and Q just to sign Harper doesn't make the Cubs any better IMO. In fact it probably makes them significantly worse.3 points

I agree. When it comes to young relievers, I like having several guys competing for spots and then allowing the winners to prove themselves in low leverage situations. If all goes well, the first group moves into high leverage roles and the next wave gets their opportunity.3 points

Well that sucks. No one wants to make you feel bullied here but maybe you can have someone close to you to read some of the stuff you post here so that they can give you some honest insight as to why you may get some grief from people here at times?3 points

This Dan Clark is obviously full of shit. I believed him because I couldn't understand what was in it for him to make things up. But it obviously wasn't a done deal, and just like the guy in LA, talked to a friend who probably gave him what he thought, not what he knew. I don't know exactly what my friends' every move would be. Now he is trying to still get credit for being the first to break something, even though his story isn't holding up.3 points

I met Danny DeVito in the Kansas City airport while he was checking in for his Southwest flight...sometimes you gotta ball on a budget.3 points

If I told you there was a 6% chance the White Sox would sign Harper AND Machado 6 months ago, would you have believed me? To your other point, I actually put the White Sox as favorites to land each player individually. That likely drives the odds above 6%.3 points
-
Maybe he missed all the first class tickets because of his lack of hustle?3 points

I just multiplied 20 x 10 and got 200%. The Sox are for sure signing both guys. Don't you feel foolish now.3 points

Me thinks the guy is a little pist off his comment went really far, maybe his "source" became annoyed when he saw he mentioned it and now wants it to die. Looking like a clown in the process though.2 points

Love how he didn't directly "@" Heyman lol Bruce a little salty Heyman called him out last time for his BS AND his Cubbies being exposed a probable negotiation pawn.2 points

Machado could be on the flight. I’m cheap and never fly anything but economy yet have been on flights with Joe Torre and Jim Thome in the past. Athletes don’t all cruise around in private jets.2 points

Here is how I see the suitors for each guy as of now: Machado: White Sox/Phillies/Yankees/mystery team Harper: White Sox/Dodgers/Phillies/mystery team Algebraically, 1/4 X 1/4 = 1/16 which is 6.25%. That isn't entirely accurate because there are other factors involved like you mentioned, but the Sox have as much, if not more money to spend than the competition and have the luxury of waiting it out. I'm liking the odds of the Sox getting one of them if nothing else, but getting both still isn't out of the question for me.2 points

Crap, you guys. Just heard the big dudes on either side of Machado are eating chili dogs and now the whole plane smells of it. Manny does not look pleased. I will keep you updated.2 points

Confirmed. Jerry apparently has gotten involved , indeed. down to the travel details even2 points

My friend just saw Machado trying to board a plane to Chicago. It was Southwest, and he didn't pay for priority boarding. He was last on the flight, and reportedly had to sit in a middle seat between two large people. Looked pissed. Not sure if that will impact him signing with the Sox.2 points

You’ve also said the term “whales” more than a marine biologist has over the last two months.2 points

The fact that Harper is still talking to the Nats is telling me that the market isn’t as strong for his services as once thought. At least the $$$ aspect to it. This can be a very good thing for the White Sox.2 points

The process really is ridiculous. Really hope we land a whale, because if not I’ve probably wasted 100+ hours on this site talking about this shit.2 points
