You're a Cubs fan though. I was asking the Sox fans here.7 points

It's similar to how someone will post something good about madrigal or yoan and you'll follow up with some comment about tatis or Manny. No, you're point may not be wrong but its unnecessary, adds nothing to the conversation and is merely made to be a negative dunce and talk down other peoples enjoyment and fun. I hope you find some happiness bud.6 points

Will he have his signature half can of dip in his lip when he is up to bat? The same way that he does it with the White Sox, which is illegal in Chicago might I add. Hopefully he chooses to be a better role model during the all Star game4 points

Someone makes a positive post about Yoan passing Baez in OPS after Cub fans destroyed Yoan endlessly all last year... directly comparing his badness to the greatness that was javy baez. It was a common thing to hear cub fans doing this. In retaliation sox fans had a little fun with the OPS comment on twitter and here... you felt the need to point out that Baez plays SS and that Contreras and Bryant are better... you did this unprovoked because you were upset that a sox fan pointed out something positive and fun about yoan. It's hilarious honestly. You feel the need to defend the cubs and put down the sox... but you're a Sox fan. Truly puzzling stuff. Jerry now pays me to be happy about Yoan being really good and figuring it out quickly. Even more bizarre. Get a hold of yourself.3 points

Someday you’ll realize that the Sox weren’t trying to compete in 2019, and that all of those moves were clearly filler until more pieces from the farm were ready. Only one of those guys are even under control in 2020!!! But sure, keep repeating the same tired bullshit every single day if it makes you happy. You’ve single handedly decreased the quality of this message board significantly. It sucks because you clearly know baseball and can have intelligent discussion, but you prefer to just repeat the same shit everyday.3 points

Oh and today is day Bulls got a step closer to Giannis. Middleton deal will hamper bucks long term.3 points

Alright folks... it’s taken me quite a while to reach the final phase of grief for this otherworldly loss. Though, healing has finally occurred and I come to share with you my lasting insight. Imagine another world where the Shields trade did not occur. Imagine in this world that we retained our talent and Tatis Jr. In this world, we don’t suck completely and as such draft for guys like Madrigal and Vaughn. We don’t trade for guys like Eloy, Kopech, Moncada, Cease, Giolito, Lopez, Dunning, etc. We likely don’t sign Robert. We more likely just keep buying old “on their way out” free agents and drafting between 15 - 20 while still missing out on the playoffs. So... I will take Madrigal, Vaughn, Eloy, Kopech, Moncada, Cease, yada yada yada and accept losing out on “he who shall not be named.” In closing, thank you Jamie Shields for helping us suck so hard that we are starting to see a bright future around the bend. Enjoy your retirement in San Diego... May we beat the Padres in 2021 for a World Series Championship. PS... suck it James. I mean, thank you James.2 points

I guess home runs and rbi's do count after all. You have been vindicated by the baseball Gods.2 points

Yes! I feel vindicated again. Congratulations to one class act ... Mr. Jose Abreu, one outstanding baseball player and by all accounts, team leader. JOSE BABY!!! Good job, sir. Have fun at the all star game.2 points

So if they finish this game I assume it will be up to the pen to win this game with a 2-0 lead. I don't like those chances.2 points

It's a shame the mods won't ban this version of you. Although you'd just keep registering, Tom Longo.2 points

I think it is incredibly rude to let the Twins wait this long on getaway day. It would be better to call the game so they can catch their plane.2 points

We are all paid by Jerry to promote this team on a forum with maybe 100 active posters.2 points

His argument changes based on whatever makes the white sox look worse. Its exhausting.2 points

Still ugly but this season only matters for development. I will be more excited for this next year: Giolito Cease Kopech Lopez ???2 points

Awesome. Theres more to base than OPS. And Yoan and Contreras WAR are near identical with Yoan possibly passing him today. You could argue for Yoan but for some reason you love to be negative and down about everything. My goodness.2 points

It's not like Shields replaced Cy Young in our rotation. If not Shields, it would have been some other schmuck. Latos? Fulmer? We gave away a generational, HOF talent, if he's not derailed by injuries or something. Between him and Machado, I don't think I can watch a Padres game for the next decade.2 points

I agree that in two years no one is even going to remember these moves. I think what is instructive, however, is that under Hahn, the Sox make a lot of dumb moves like the Yonder signing. When half of this message board could see the implications of giving a division rival $9 mil in salary relief but the front office can't, that's a worrisome sign. From Shields/Tatis to Holland to Nova and Yonder to how they have drafted, it seems like they are not in the top half of front offices and it looks like both Cleveland and Minnesota are. If they expect to compete with those two organizations in the next few years, they have to stop making so many blunders.2 points

Don't why I posted that link you probably had easy access in the States to the game , that's if you wanted to watch Yankees v Red Sox , anyway very entertaining with a bumper score , at 17-13 in the 8th with the bases loaded Red Sox had a chance at tying but wasn't to be .2 points

Exactly. Hahn freed up $9 million for the Indians and got a nice .576 OPS DH out of it, good for a -1 WAR. He basically paid $9 million to make the team worse.1 point

Hamilton and Burdi should be healthy for next year. Hamilton will be in the pen. Burdi is a big question mark at this point, but I suppose the knee is better than an arm injury.1 point

Good luck. No acceptance from me. Tatis Jr. now has a the following line: .327 / .400 / .596 / .996 10 HR 26 RBI 12 SB Basically, he is the franchise player Hahn was looking for last offseason but he costs nothing for the next 6 years. Absolutely brutal.1 point

He also averaged 83 walks per season. If Madrigal does that I don't think anyone will care about his home run totals1 point
