You don't find advocating for steroids for one guy and demonizing another for chew to be odd? But I get it, I'm done.3 points

Man @Rankin I don’t know if Sean is on here but it’s so awesome having a futuresox writer in AZL2 points

Ricky is in his glory when those annoying American players aren't in the way.2 points

Give the man ABs. Rondon DHing does nothing for the future of the team.2 points

We've faced alot of LHP recently, so some of it makes sense. But the fact he hasn't DH'd in a handful of games against RHP is very puzzling, indeed.2 points

Obviously every place is different but I'm working for a small company (35 employees) in the western suburbs and it's extremely laid-back and flexible. My hours are technically 8-5 with half days on Fridays but I come and go as I please as long as I am working 9 hours per day (and half on Fridays). So I usually end up coming in from like 730-430, and even though I'm 19, I'm trusted to do my job and am not constantly being micromanaged or anything. I had a similar experience last summer at a tech start-up downtown. I think a lot of it depends on the age of ownership. In both cases my superiors are generally young (<40) and have a more relaxed attitude about the little things. Their only concern is that I do the work I'm supposed to do and complete it within those 9 hour days. They don't care about the exact minutes I'm working, whether I do some work at home, or whether I'm wearing a tie. That's the way it should be in most places, IMO.2 points

I know when the sox won their first game 1-0, their last game 1-0, and their final world series game 1-0, I was thinking "God damn this is an offensive powerhouse, what do the stats say? That we only had one 'RBI'? Those stats are idiots!"2 points

Even when Vaughn leaves, AZL will still be one of my personal favorite affiliates to follow.1 point

It would be kind of fun to see Vaughn play a year in the AZL to see the absurdity that would be his EOY numbers. It's like sending him back to high school showcases.1 point

I'd be absolutely shocked if Collins is moved by August 1.1 point
-
They are all passed. Super 2 passed last month, the next "deadline" would have been to wait until middle of next April. Calling him up now is the right move.1 point

Maybe this has been mentioned already, but with guys committing to teams as early as 13, 14 it is possible we don’t see the real bulk of the work put in by the international staff during the Robert penalty until next July. Or maybe I’m just looking for the positive because I like Paddy. Met him a couple times in my scouting days, and he was a really likeable guy. Very humble, aside from wearing his World Series ring every day haha1 point

I will happily bet you $20 that Collins is still in the Sox org by Aug 1.1 point

Good for Arch. Kid went from an undrafted, D-League fodder to now a solid NBA rotation player and a millionaire. I always root for the underdog stories.1 point

Arci is back. Three years is annoying but I’m sure it won’t be hard to shed. Trade dunn.1 point

I would be very surprised if the Sox called up Collins to sit on the bench, and then trade him. Would be a very bizarre way to handle that situation. And I don't give two fucks about the Cubs, but Schwarber has produced 1.8, 3.2 and and is on pace for 1.6 fWAR this season. That is not worthless.1 point

Did we all see Sanchez' writeup? https://www.mlb.com/news/white-sox-to-sign-fernando-tatis-jr-s-brother-elijah?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage1 point

It's just like he made up his mind. Kid walks his first PA. Plays 2 days later, hits a bomb. Plays the next day, goes 0 for... then doesn't see another game for like 3-4 days.1 point

They were 13th in runs scored that year which was actually below league average. It's in fact an extremely easy case to make, you're just being willfully ignorant.1 point

One of my buddies got to caddy for Mike Trout a couple years back when the Angels were in town. Tipped my bud $200.1 point

What if he dips during the Allstar Game? Is it okay because they didn’t ban tobacco at Progressive Field?1 point

Dude nobody hates Abreu (okay one person hates Abreu), some of us are just cautious of using long-term resources on him.1 point

We’re half way thru the season and McCann has the highest WAR of any catcher in baseball. Who predicted that?! What a steal of a signing by Hahn. The second best FA signing of his tenure after Jose Abreu. It’s great that he’s still arb eligible next season too.1 point

The good news coming out of Anderson's injury is seeing Garcia play short so adequately. I didn't remember how competent he can be all over the field. A guy this versatile allows the team to carry an extra catcher or pitcher on a championship team.1 point
