    Seems to me that McCann probably helped Cease out big time today. Realized Cease was getting more mileage out of his offspeed and just kept calling it. Had some bold sequences, like tripling up the change to strike out the lefty. I bet he wasn't getting that with Collins and Zavala, especially if he was doing more of his own pitch calling. Sometimes a catcher believes in some of your pitches more than you do and pushes you into using them.

    That Rick Renteria is doing something stupid by benching the guy who should be getting at bats (Zach Collins) does not mean that we should do additional stupid things to placate him by adding in an additional player who would block the guy who should be getting at bats. We should stop doing stupid things and do smarter things instead.

    They are related. The original signing created a relationship with the tatis family that Paddy was able to use to sign two additional prospects. Bloodlines are often a plus in projecting 16 year olds.
