Rage? The hell? You're just creepy, dude. Why are you investigating Jace Fry's drama and posting it here? "Haha. STD. Isn't that funny guys? It is, right? LOL" You're like the worst parts of every message board all wrapped into one troll. I guess that's an accomplishment if that's what you're into.5 points

I read exactly what you said and it wasn't the first time you ripped on Vaughn in prior threads (I know this because I agreed with you about not being a big fan of the pick because of the position) but you take it beyond that. Hell, you ripped on Yolbert Sanchez' DSL numbers before your (usual) backtrack in the same thread.5 points

Not according to Heyman, who gets his info straight from Boras. He reported in June that the Sox made a last minute run at him after missing on Machado. Obviously, they failed, so it doesn't really matter, but the other poster is incorrect in saying that the Sox don't even negotiate with Boras. Don't sign his clients? Sure. But they absolutely negotiate, and it's a weird thing to deny4 points

Your takes are hilarious. Puig will likely be overpaid? By who? Castellanos too? Wtf. Bat first bad defensive outfielders are bot getting paid huge dollars. JD Martinez was traded for junk and then had to fight and claw for 100+ million - he is one of the 5 best hitters in the game when he's going. You thinking 2 WAR puig and bat only Catellanos are going to net some huge contracts literally goes against everything the market has been telling you for the past three years. Your negativity at this point is just comical and I honestly feel bad for you. You spend all day on here, a sox message board, talking about how bad and shitty the Sox are. Hopefully you can find something that doesnt make you so miserable.4 points

Madrigal at AA/AAA this season (not including tonight) 65 G, 287 PA, .329/.394/.438, .832 OPS, 135 wRC+, 9.1 BB%, 3.5 K%, .336 BABIP, 51 R (that would be on pace for 127 over 162 games), 26 RBI, 18 SB, 8 CS, 16 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 2 HR. 26 BB. 10 K.3 points

Gavin Sheets has certainly turned it around at AA. In his last 75 games 314 PA, (not including tonight) he's at .298/.376/.502, .878 OPS, 155 wRC+, .322 BABIP, 13 HR, 15 2B, 33 BB, 51 K, 10.5% BB%, 16.2% K%. Also, Collins since demotion (not including tonight): 32 G, 136 PA, .351/.456/.685, 1.141 OPS, 185 wRC+, .370 BABIP, 9 HR, 10 2B, 31 RBI, 22 R, 21 BB (15.4%), 21 K (16.9%). Love the K rate going down, down, down.3 points

They took a chance on him without any risk. Who cares? And: Please respect the hot take free safe space that is the minor league gamethread.3 points

When it was announced Moncada was moving to third, we heard time and time again on this board how awful that decision was. I'm sure if they had to, he or TA would make decent outfielders. It's not a real hard transition as long as you can run. The plus is each can also throw.3 points

One thing I know for sure - regardless of what happens, you'll complain about it.3 points

I mean... you literally jumped the gun on Vaughn like a week ago lol. But I'm glad you're learning.3 points

First time “shut down” and Herrera has been used in same sentence this year.2 points

I did, but I think it is way too early to write him off. He has admitted he basically did no preparation for part of the year. Once he started to figure it out, he got injured, then injured again. He hit 284/340/602 in June. He is only at 255/278/468 in August, but his BABIP is below 300 (part of that is his fault for hitting so many grounders though). It is a shame he didn't set the world on fire in his rookie year, but after Moncada, Anderson, and Gio, I am not going to ding him too much for that yet.2 points

Don’t tell me you didn’t expect more from him this year, especially with the ball they are using.2 points

The Eloy takes in this thread are beyond ridiculous. I'll just leave it at that.2 points

No shit. We should be so fortunate. When it comes to the Sox “sustained success”, let’s start with back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in team history (yes, I know about 1994).2 points

Let the record show whoever is filling out the card still puts an L in front of Garcia on August 27th. Why? Why? WHY!!!!!2 points

It’s almost as unbelievable as you gleefully dancing on Jose’s grave a day or two before he went on an AL-player-of-the-month tear...albeit not as hilarious. I wonder if you realize how vindicating it is watching you troll Jose a few times a year into a white-hot-streak that proves over and over again you have absolutely no idea in hell what you’re talking about on any level.2 points

Yoan Moncada grades out as the 6th best defensive 3rd baseman in the MLB this year. Why the heck would the White Sox move a guy who is performing that well at that position in his first big league year there? It's an absurd proposal.2 points

Agree with this. I think TA7 is athletic enough to play RF if the Sox were to sign someone like Gregorius to play SS. I wouldn't switch Moncada's position anymore though. He's the best player on the team and clearly comfortable at 3B. Don't mess with that.2 points
-
Why in the world would be move our very good young controllable long term SS to the OF (a position he hasn't played in professional bal) for a 30 year old Gregorius? Its an outside the box thought, but its pretty dang farfetched.2 points

Clueless? You're the guy telling us the Sox NEVER do business with Boras clients when they drafted and signed one, and they sat down for 1-1 meetings last season discussing a 250+ million dollar contract for one of his clients. Sounds to me like another factually wrong statement by you. As I said though, keep moving those goal posts.2 points

I may sound like a broken record but I'm sure it's not nearly as bad as some others in this thread. The argument is framed as a "people who like data/progress and advanced metrics think Abreu is bad, people who are stuck in the Stone Age think Abreu is good", but this is quite ironic because his exit velo, hard hit rate, xwOBA, etc. are all really good. I think the debate says more about people's ability to take multiple data points and use advanced metrics the way they were intended to be used than anything else.2 points

Why are the odds low for Castellanos & Ozuna? Like where do you even come up with this stuff.2 points

Can't ask for more than that from Gio against one of the best lineups in the league that saw him in his last start. Great effort tonight1 point

That's the thing. I actually like Yolmer in a utility role. He gets hated on because he plays WAAAAY too much. Give him 200 PA's or so next season, and I think he would be alot more likeable here. He's definitely one of the smartest players we have. Obviously that means declining that option cause he can not be making that much. If he doesn't like the pay cut... buh bye.1 point

I know I did, I would love to see Frank Thomas work with him, heck i would love to see Frank Thomas as there hitting coach.1 point

Dude, you're absolutely clueless. Apart from BURGH losing his mind and becoming a MAGAbro in 2016 and stopping posting, and Zoso morphing into some bizarre, hard-to-read alt-right Twitter philosopher, nearly every poster on Soxhaps is left-leaning and anti-racist. And we have the best tags!1 point

Going to be very intriguing to see how Collins' new swing looks in September. Batting average up to .295, the K rate is very manageable, etc. He's 2-3 with a HR tonight.1 point

Yeah he has a lot of holes right now. I will be honest, I was expecting him to look a lot better at the plate. His hit tool has been really bad, and just being someone that hits homers and nothing else isn’t very valuable. He went from someone who I thought would be the key player in the rebuild to being clearly behind Moncada and Robert. I still love him though, as the Cubs homer was the highlight of the season.1 point

Not pressing the panic button by any means, but his strikeout rate and ground ball rate both alarming right now.1 point

Eloy looks horrible at the plate again. Late on fastballs and not picking up sliders.1 point
