Watch more baseball in the Sox organization. You wont be disappointed. Base running I don't think is even coached. I watched Zavala kill a rally last week.2 points

And with that HR, TA qualifies with PAs and is sitting tied with Lamaheiu at .331! 431 PAs needed to qualify after tonight and Timmy just had his 432nd.2 points

Abreu thought there was no way that was caught. Can't blame him. Eloy smoked that ball.1 point

With as many times as Moncada has been screwed in his career with borderline pitches, it's nice to see one go his way.1 point

Jimenez about to pass McCann on the OPS charts... How many times in the last, oh, say decade...has everyone written how easy it is to find "acceptable" hitters at the corner outfield spots, 1B and DH. The White Sox, other than Jose Abreu, have spent a decade whiffing at this seemingly simplest task of all. In an era when every hitter's putting up 25-35 homers, that's inexcusable. Pitching, well...everyone knows how much volatility there is in that area, at least in terms of bullpens. Yet we choose the one reliever who anyone who followed the Royals from 2014-17 could have told you wasn't the same pitcher. He was broken, just like Carl Edwards, Jr.1 point

That's disgusting and proves without a shadow of a doubt Avi woulda been great in RF this year. He's making something like 2.5 mill or 3 mill a year for gosh sakes.1 point

Palka is hitting .019. For gosh sakes, release the poor fella. Send him to another organization. .019 is about as low as I've ever seen an official batting average.1 point

Hard disagree on Kiermaier, his offenisve numbers took a dive the last two years into basically becoming unplayable as an everyday player and he is always hurt.1 point

I really don't care if Nova gives up 9 HRs in a row. Just need the guys to hit well.1 point

I'm still trying to figure out how he didn't score on Tim's sure double.1 point

When the defense is terrible every year with different players on the roster, the coaching has to come into play1 point

Putting him at DH would be massively stupid for a 22 year old rookie. He's bad on defense, nobody is going to debate that. He has multiple years to get better and I fully expect he will get better over time.1 point

I have to say I will never get tired of Jack Parkman musings about life. I don't agree with most, if any, of them, but they are always entertaining.1 point

I think that's unfair. 775 OPS and 24 HR's in 2/3 of a season as a 22 year old is a nice start to me. The interesting part of his stats comes when you look at his day/night, later innings, men on base, type numbers. He hits better in primetime situations. Unfortunately most(all) of the Sox season hasn't been in contention. He also doesn't exactly have a stacked roster around him. Add another legit option in the lineup around him and start being in contention, and I think he will be the most impactful bat in the lineup.1 point

He's on pace to hit 38 Homers over 160 games. The average isn't there yet and his k-rate has spiked but he's missed time. He could have been better but I think his future is rather clear and in no way did his ceiling or expectations take a step back this year based on his performance imo. That's why I would say his season has been fine and showed what we wanted it to show. He's 22 years old. He had just turned 22 when the season started.1 point

The expectations for Eloy were so unrealistically high anything short of an MVP season would have been considered a disappointment.1 point

Because he'll need those 2 weeks in the minors to prove that he's ready for the big leagues.1 point

If anybody was serious about Gordon, it shows the insanity of message boards. Think how old he is in a world we now think of 32 as old. Think how little production he gives. Same message board with a lotta people hating on Jose Abreu and somebody wants elder Alex Gordon who provides nothing with the bat?1 point

Between his hot streak with the Cubs and his agent (Boras) he is pricing himself out of any realistic chance of the Sox signing him.1 point

True, but Collins did make a big change. He is crouching much more in his stance which shrunk his strike zone a bit and it’s also helping him lay off the high heat. This change along with his already amazing patience will hopefully lead to continued success. I’m sure Parkman is happy to be wrong. The funny thing is we still don’t know if he can catch on a consistent basis because he hasn’t had the opportunity but his bat looks like it has potential.1 point

I can see why you have trouble keeping a job. That is far too much supervision needed for most jobs to maintain any type of high level of production. Sounds like you need a factory or warehouse job where everything is on a movement and production schedule.1 point
