I am not going to breaking any moves. Not only is that incredibly difficult and I have only rarely had the information to do so, but I share what I can because I am annoyed by the flippant Sox fans who make up the loud minority. They're so flippant and whatever the Sox do is just the worst case scenario no matter what. And I get, we have sucked historically. It's just tired and old and affecting people's ability to reason. Hahn got up and did a bunch of GM speak last night. Implying 2021 is the year and they have no urgency this week. He's just bullshitting. They're not going to make moves for the sake of making moves but they're working to get better on multiple fronts.11 points

How many more times will we hear you mention the same tired BS over and over and over again?7 points

Sox clearly have liked Mazara for a while, and if so many teams were pushing for him, the time was now. I think we should all wait and see what’s next instead of going nuts. Rather see Mazara than Kole in RF.6 points

Lol we’ve been arguing about defense for a slightly above average hitter (Ozuna) and poor one (Castellanos) and they are then trading for a below average, poor defender. We all won basically.6 points

Thesis: White Sox need an outfielder who can hit Antithesis: White Sox need an outfielder who can field. Synthesis: White Sox are getting an outfielder who can neither hit nor field.6 points

I just sent the White Sox an email as I am frustrated. How am I supposed to set my MLB The Show lineup and rotation if they don't make moves immediately? Grandal didn't move the needle for my team's overall rating. Unacceptable.6 points

Renteria said they had a meeting at the end of last year, and said "its time." I wonder if DVS will write a new article about it.5 points

Am I the only one waiting to be disappointed when Boston trades us Jackie Bradley and Eovaldi? ?5 points

Also just want to add that this could be selling high on Walker also, as his power (lack of) would have been ugly in Birmingham.4 points

Sign Kole Calhoun for the same salary and give up nothing, end up with a better player.4 points

Just don’t understand the urgency to make this particular move right now.4 points

If the Sox end up not doing anything more this offseason. No one better defend this front office or ownership again.4 points

He also said Abreu is a "phenomenal first baseman". Said it before, but I think he's going to play Abreu alot of 1B in the future than people think. And I also believe he is the guy who will keep the Sox (depending on moves too) from taking that next step as a playoff team because of his stubbornness and his stupidity.4 points

I don't know why he wants such a good spot. Everyone: "So, what is going on with Cole and Rendon?" McGuffy: " I am part of a random White Sox podcast. Can you tell us how the Sox will offer most for Kuechel and still miss out?"4 points

The offseason isn’t over and they were rejected by one person. But please continue to pollute every thread with the non-stop whining you’re known for.4 points

Tell me when they sign someone. This idea that being the highest bidder is somehow a win for the franchise is a joke. Read my signature from last summer. Those are your own words... ”Misses are no longer acceptable.”4 points

You think these guys need to buy flood insurance for all the water they carry for the front office?3 points

This type of thinking is how James Shields gets turned into Tatis, Jr. Sometimes you don't have to overthink it. You can give them garbage back when they send over a broken player your way.3 points

Fake Sources: Sox trade Luis Gonzalez and guy for Nomara Mazara. Fake sources: Sox trade Nick Madrigal for David Price and JDM. Fake sources: Sox sign Anthony Rendon. Off season complete.3 points

But with less years of control and 4 years of offensive and defensive mediocrity.3 points

Sox fans, at least intelligent ones, want good players... not mediocre ones. Mazara is a ~.750 OPS right fielder with bad defense. All he has going for him is youth (turning 25 at the beginning of the season). This isn’t the type of move anyone was expecting when we kept hearing, “The money will be spent.”3 points

I don’t mind him if you’re spending money on quality pitching. He has more potential than any of the outfielders in the system besides Robert.3 points

HARD PASS. Dude is going to make close to $50M in his final 2 years of arb. Just sign Rendon and give up no assets if thats your plan.3 points

Why even bother being a fan if it makes you this miserable all the time?3 points

This Cole market with Anaheim and the Yankees having to have him is why the Sox should have taken advantage of most of the big boys sitting out last season. It isn't going to happen for the White Sox when these other teams must have someone.3 points

Like 2 weeks ago LARR here said that he wouldn't want Price + Benintendi unless they attached $30 million - now that pitching prices have caught up with inflation, it really does seem like a sensible deal to take those 2 on for limited return.3 points

For those who don't know the reference it's from the innovative video game Street Fighter that started in arcades in the late 80's and proceeded into the video game revolution starting with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Super NES with the even more successful Street Fighter ll. But it had made its way to a PC game before that. Ryu was one of the characters. In Street Fighter, hadouken (波動拳) is a special attack unleashed by Ryu, Ken, and a few other characters. It literally means "wave motion fist", so the concept behind the attack is to send a burst of energy at an opponent, https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/64071/15-things-you-might-not-know-about-street-fighter I had to look up the reference but when I did I was very familiar with the game since I bought an NES a long time ago and also had a SEGA Genesis. I mostly used to watch my young son at the time in the mid 90's playing it on his cousins Super NES . He has been a gamer and computer geek for a long time now and is in his early 30's and makes a good living with his knowledge. No Ron883 is not my son because that would make him Ron, Jr. and that is not my sons name.3 points
