  1. Yup. Fry was throwing a bullpen next to Jimmy Cordero earlier this week. Cuthbert - Hahn said he's having trouble getting in the country. So it's not him because he wasn't administered. test on site. Moncada - Strong case. Engel - Have not seen/heard of him. Kopech - I could be wrong but I don't believe he actually came to Chicago. It's possible he tested positive in Texas or where ever he lives and didn't leave to go to camp as a result. It's also possible he's missing from camp because of reasons unrelated to COVID. Anderson - Have not seen/heard of him. Detwiler - Have not seen/heard of him. Fry - Was seen throwing a pen. Fulmer - Have not seen/heard of him. Guerrero - Found a picture from earlier today of him with a masked Renteria on some Columbian IG. "peloteroscol" Hueur - Was seen throwing a pen with Jimmy Lambert. Johnson - Seems he is in Chicago but no evidence of him at the stadium. Marshall - Have not seen/heard of him. Ruiz - Have not seen/heard of him.

  2. I hate spiders so it would be quite fitting to match my general level of disdain for all things Cleveland sports. They could call the team the Taint Lickers for all I care so long as the racist cartoon logo is put to rest forever...

  3. Funny part was, Mark Buehrle emerged to be the best of the entire bunch and was never on anyones list. Still, I think if the Sox ever were able to figure out their 5th starter woes during those windows, they would have had a lot of playoff runs and who knows what could have happened.

  5. I'm going to take this time to point something out. If anyone says that they hope an individual Sox player (or any player in the league) gets COVID-19, you'll be getting an automatic 10-day suspension. You wouldn't be wishing any other potentially fatal disease upon them, so don't do it here.

  6. 1984...Scott Fletcher has an awful game I am attending where he fails at the plate more than once and commits an error to blow the game and generally ruin my evening....I hate him to this day!!!

  7. You must not be familiar with Sox fans. Hell there are ones on here holding grudges over stuff going back to the 1950s. If the Sox fan base is good at anything it is being upset about stuff that happened a long time ago.

  9. Just give me Mookie fucking Betts and this team has a chance to do some very special things for the next half decade.

  10. Madrigal was definitely on the original 44 man "summer camp" roster. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/2020-white-sox-roster-pool-44-players-will-report-summer-camp

  13. Plus he's in the best shape of his life, and he went to Driveline in the offseason to work on his wind-up.

  14. Madrigal wasn't apart of the original "summer camp" roster the Sox released that had additional spots open (that Madrigal will assume). Smart money is Yoan & Ruiz (unless he's been picture/referenced at the stadium the last 24 hours) for the corona positives.

  15. I get the feeling that this winter will see the biggest discounts on deals that we will see for the next decade for sure. If we can spent through this, there could be some big bargains.

  18. To think that the Sox(or any team) could get away with this without losing a significant player to the Rona is pretty naive. If it's going to hit a significant player, better at training camp than during the season.

  19. I know it's subjective, but to me there has never been an easier decision in history. *Even setting aside the controversy*, replacing "Indians" (an unoriginal, uninspired, dumb nickname shared with a million other teams, most of which have already dumped it) with "Spiders" (a historically significant, unique, interesting, cool nickname that presents limitless design and branding opportunities) is a no-brainer. I would actually be sort of jealous of a team called the "Spiders."

  22. The biggest issue from 2001-04 was that the Sox kept counting on their young arms who had been injured and lost effectiveness to fill that 5th starter spot and it never happened. Nobody got healthy, everyone sucked. By 2003 it was clear that those guys sucked, they should have just signed a veteran. I remember being pissed that they passed on Kenny Rogers in 2003. That could have been the guy that put them over the top. Had they just bit the bullet and signed one more arm to a 2 year deal over those years, they could have gone on another run or two prior to 2005.

  23. All a 3rd party candidate means is a 100% chance of a Trump win. You'd need to have someone who would convince Trump voters to change their votes, and I think even if Jesus Christ himself ran as a 3rd party candidate, they wouldn't vote for him because he was too hippy dippy.

  28. There is no arguing with you. Its the same tactic. You come up with an absurd thought. You double down on said absurd thought sighting research from the internet. You make several runs at better explaining it back editing your posts. Then you either tap out or you punt to the fact that you are autistic as a reason for being obtuse. You throw out technology answers when you barely have a grasp of how half this shit works. Sure you know a bit more than your parents and maybe a few of your friends. But that doesn't matter. You read something on the internet, it punched through your brain-pan and what comes out enviably is a rube goldberg plan for society. I hope your basement is well stocked. See you in two years when you can finally get your vaccine.

  29. I have already as well. New reports say that antibodies only provide resistance for 3-4 months. When did you have it? I had mine in mid-March. You don't, there are plenty of things to do outside......it will be tougher in winter. I'm pretty much done arguing with you because this has reached ad absurdum levels.

  30. A bigger problem is going to be everyone from Illinois leaving the state for the weekend and coming back home after spending a weekend in crowds without using any common sense. I can tell you from personal observations, between Porter, Beverly Shores, and Michigan City beaches and subsequent shops and eateries, the vast majority of plates were from Illinois, with some locals sprinkled in.

  37. 1. If it's not related to the coronavirus at all, it doesn't fly. Biden's VP candidates, investigations into Sec. Pompeo, Biden gaffes, Trump tweets not related to coronavirus, etc. are not coronavirus related. George Floyd is not fair game 2. Anything politicians do concerning coronavirus is fair game. The Biden / Trump mask on Memorial Day story is fair game, legislation discussed is fair game, racial disparities in the handling/impact of coronavirus are fair game. 3. You get one warning, after that a 10-day suspension, then 30-day suspension, then ban. 4. You may appeal to the moderators and admins to justify why something belongs, but following the appeal, the decision is final.
