But what about Adam Eaton? Drake LaRoche was a club house leader. Something about Adam Dunn. The Josh Fields era. Gordon Beckham will save us. All Hawk’s bullshit. It has been a rough decade plus.3 points

Against non-White Sox opponents the Tigers are 19-17 and the Royals are 19-19.3 points

Do we know anything about how he has been doing though? I’d hate to Fulmer a guy that has some big upside. Don’t mess with a kid in year 1 of the window when he could mean a lot in years 2 through 103 points

If they keep Kopech down for 45 days, they get him through 2026. It's a no brainer.3 points

Nice, Monday is the deadline for postseason eligibility., nice to see the call-up to help the rotation, provide insurance for Dallas or any other starter through season end, and give Ricky another option with 15 straight games to go. Perhaps Parrot can be placed on the DL with the hiccups and we can see Vaughn up for the Twins series.3 points

Not a lot of options. Honestly not crazy about starting his clock. We just need innings. Kinda thought Gio González could go three then Flores a couple but it sure will be exciting! Even if much of the board had no problem trading him at deadline. And I am poking fun. We all know, if he does well we should get Cooperstown ready and if he performs poorly we should have traded the stiff!3 points

Tuned in to the 9th for the potential no-no. Cubs announcers are awful. Wow.2 points

I may be wrong. Anderson may be the MVP. He's so good it's scary. Jose is my guy but geezus Tim Anderson is so good a hitter it's hard to fathom.2 points

I marinate a pork shoulder last night and put it on my small smoker around 7:30 this morning. It just came out of the stall, I wrapped it, cracked open a St. Arnold Lawnmower and turned on the TV to watch my first place Sox team. Life is good.2 points

Getting caught up here, but there is more hormones and drama in this thread than a high school prom. There are some miserable people following this game. Get some prozac or something. Yikes.2 points

Because you throw hard due to clean fluid mechanics. It's his first start and he is so uptight right now he is aiming the ball. He had one at 95. The velocity will be there.2 points

So is having a meltdown when Stiever is one out away from getting out of it without giving up a run2 points

@Balta1701 A classic case where someone overvalues fWAR when comparing players. I remember this debate well and I couldn’t believe a Sox fan would argue Justin Smoak was comparable to Jose Abreu. How’s that working out?2 points

Interesting. Vote of confidence for Cease, moving his start back a day to see the Twins. Not sure it’s a “great” match up, but proves they believe in Dylan. Excited to see Stiever.2 points
