Bauer and ChiSox1917; authorities on climate science. Good to know.4 points

You need to jump in a game thread. They are fun. But any pitching change, that any Sox manager, has or hasn't done, in the past 20 years is always predicted as wrong by at least five posters. And if it works out it will be judged as we just got lucky. Every Sox batter has a hole in his swing that you could drive a truck through and they are patient when they should be aggressive or too fucking aggressive when they need to see a couple pitches. And if Greg775 is in the thread, Ozzie would have done it better.3 points

What a needless personal attack. From a mod too. Notice how I never post about other posters only sox baseball. You mistake my passion for the Sox and the game of baseball.3 points

No new injuries. Aaron Bummer makes an appearance and is considered healthy enough to be named to the playoff roster. Tim Anderson becomes the 15th player in American League history to win two or more consecutive American League Batting Titles2 points

I've been here in some form or another since 2003. It will never change. Just make fun of them.2 points

It’s amazing to me some people think the Sox shouldn’t go after pitching this offseason. More than ever their starting pitching depth looks iffy2 points

He had no control from the windup against the Twins. I actually talked about this during his last start in the gamethread. Good to see Coop taking my advice to heart. ?2 points

If you still think the Sox are anti analytical then perhaps your thinking is just as antiquated as you think the Sox are.2 points

that isnt how i interpreted that tweet. the broad discussion is: are all of these recent climate catastrophes because of man burning fossil fuels. It isnt "Can man control the weather". So, with that being said, I interpreted his tweet to mean: No, the changing climate is NOT because of human influence I mean, when you have companies who make money on the extraction of fossil fuels admitting that the climate is changing because we are burning this shit like crazy, that's a pretty good indicator that the science is legit https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jul/08/exxon-climate-change-1981-climate-denier-funding2 points

Damn, was unaware of this side of him. I'm fine passing on him. Let's go another route.2 points

Love how he says its ego centric to say that humans caused climate change. Meanwhile not seeing how massively egotistical it is for a ball player to sit there and insinuate that scientists who have spent their entire lives studying the climate dont know as much as Trevor Bauer. Yikes, what a fucking moron. ?2 points

Yeah, the nerve of him to have an opinion that you don't agree with...2 points

I don't want to see Cease at all in the playoffs. He needs to figure it out because he's been awful all year and has gotten extremely lucky to have an ERA under 5.1 point

Speaking of, 15 years ago tonight, Joe Crede hit a walk off homer vs Cleveland’s David Riske. I was there, and it was pretty awesome.1 point

Everyone stays healthy, Moncada and Robert get hot, and Bummer returns strong. Take 3 of 4 from Cleveland to clinch the division and go into the last series with nothing but seeding on the line.1 point

Open a few threads from September 2005. OMG we weren't even going to make the playoffs. LOL1 point

He’s being sarcastic based on how Soxtalk game threads are historically pessimistic if the team is losing or loses.1 point

I want 26 innings from our starters in Cleveland, no more new injuries, and Aaron Bummer to come back.1 point

My thoughts exactly. Defense looked bad that second half as the Giants pass game shredded them. Little or no pressure on the QB. Offense couldn't up any points. Wait till the Bears play a good team. This game should have never have been this close. In fact, they played bad enough to lose.1 point

How about crochet opening for dunning? I think cease has a good future but right now you can't start him with his control issues. Let crochet's power deal with the top of the lineup and then bring in dunning.1 point

Dane is your number 3 starter in the playoffs, I don't even think this should be a question. As for next season: Sign Bauer and let Dane, Dylan and Kopech battle for those last 2 spots.1 point

It's not what we can or cannot live with, it's whether Eloy will remain alive or continue to get injured attempting to play left field. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/white-sox-eloy-jimenez-continues-to-run-into-things-in-left-field-and-that-should-cause-concern-in-chicago/ "I'm just trying to go play hard," he said. "If you see when I got hurt in the outfield, it was because I tried to do my best and just playing hard. I don't care if I get hurt in the outfield."1 point
