  14. When are people going to learn that Stoney is basically the narrator for the organization? When he said the other day Tony should be communicating with the players, it was obvious there was a lack of dialogue. I still can’t get over how potentially damaging this ridiculous hire was.

  15. Okay I will bite on this question Krankin is asking about Russia and 2016. Sorry to be long winded... I'm not sure Trump and his people technically colluded deliberately with Russia. But I believe some of them were so inexperienced, inept, and so completely ignorant of the national security implications that they actually became entangled with hostile agents. Did Trump say some dumb stuff that allowed people to accuse him of colluding? Yes probably. Remember when he said “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”? So that's probably on him. A serious politician with a keen sense of national security would never say something like that. And I don't think my conclusion is raving of a crazy leftist. It's probably a rational and reasonable concern. I thought that is essentially what the Muller investigation found. So I went back and looked at it now, and provide this summary of conclusions of the Muller Report: Russia did interfere in an election and it was "sweeping and systematic. That members of the Trump administration welcomed the interference as they believed it would benefit them There were some links between people in the Trump campaign and individuals tied to the Russian government. And some of these individuals lied or obstructed the investigation into these ties. On top of this, it is my belief that at least one individual close to Trump (Rudy Giuliani) is STILL, knowingly or not, working with people with ties to the Russian government. As explained in this article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/giuliani-biden-ukraine-russian-disinformation/2020/10/15/43158900-0ef5-11eb-b1e8-16b59b92b36d_story.html All that being said, I don't know if any of this had any material impact on the 2016 election. But getting caught up in this mess with one of your country's greatest enemies seems pretty serious no? Reasonable Americans could have serious apprehension about this story without being leftists. And now that I've written all this I can't remember how it is relevant to this situation.

  17. But remember, we were crazy and overreacting when La Russa couldn't name anybody on the roster and Steve Stone was tweeting that if he were manager, he would be getting to know his players

  18. Honest question, who here thought Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election? Can you all honestly say you didn't peddle that garbage?

  20. Trading a consensus top 2-3 catcher in the game r signed to a fair contract for 3 more years and just to replace him with a FA that is meaningfully worse at baseball and a meaningfully worse fit for the roster is not a decision any GM is going to make. Not to mention the simple fact that the Sox are SOOOOOOOOOO righty heavy as is. So lets remove 50% of the guys who can hit left handed in the everyday lineup, and replace them with yet another right handed hitter who is much worse offensively. Theres also that whole OBP thing, which is fairly important, and Grandal one of the few guys on the team that takes walks consistently. McCann doesn't do that. It makes zero sense. Grandal is good. Grandal is better than McCann, and always has been. Grandal is signed for three years. McCann is a free agent. The obsession with this whole situation on this board is dumbfounding. I will admit Grandal was disappointing with the glove in 2020. But he wasn't awful, and he's still above average defensively. Maybe the FA market craters enough that the Sox are the high bid on McCann and he returns as backup. But I highly doubt that scenario is going to play out, and I will literally eat a shoe live on twitter if the Sox trade Grandal. There is no chance it is happening.

  22. Sleepy Joe who can't hold a thought, and can only stay in his basement, t is an unmatched criminal mastermind in the Ukraine and China. Got the whole world in on a Covid 19 hoax, and now is rigging an election like no one has never been done before.

  23. Yadi wants a 2 year deal, will want to catch 75 percent of the time, can’t hit, whines when he doesn’t play and then we’re blocking Vaughn basically from playing at all this season if you’re not moving Grandal. It’s a bad idea.

  28. Tell me something crazier than signing someone to the largest contract in team history to only trade him after a pandemic shortened season in which he was the same player he’s always been in order to bring back the backup who you replaced him with in the first place.

  29. Well, because it would be crazy, as in stupid crazy. TA may not be the better player (debatable, at least for this White Sox team), but adding Lindor's salary is 100% counterproductive and doesn't make any damn sense. At least try and come up with something that makes a tiny bit of sense.

  30. Not sure if this was posted before, but just lol at the Trump's tearing down the GOP. The funniest and most enjoyable time in politics for me was when Trump was taking out every GOP candidate one by one in 2015. I thought there was no way he wins in 2016 though.

  32. My point is simply this: The govt, mostly dems, have hysterically accused Trump of everything under the sun for 4 years. The media and leftists were happy to push false narratives. So, if you really think they wouldn't try to commit election fraud too, then you're not paying attention. My secondary point is that anyone laughing at this notion should look in the mirror. I'm willing to bet they have personally pushed several false narratives about Trump.

  36. most liberals peddled that fucking conspiracy, I'm a lefty (I lean way left, former DSA member) but I was smart enough to realize when Bill Binney said the NSA would have evidence if any hacks happened, plus when Crowdstrike had to admit in court that they had zero evidence that Russia hacked anything, and Muller knew it too democrats didn't wanna admit that they ran a shitty candidate that everybody hated and refused to campaign in the rust belt, that's why Trump won, plus the electoral college of course

  44. I see it with my own eyes on livestream in Portland and Seattle. That's why I'm "afraid" of the guys in full body armor who beat the hell out of people in the streets who don't share their idiology. Trump plans I'm for? Economy (no new taxes on me). Law and order in the streets (he would have cracked down in his his second term on governors and mayors who allow the destruction). Gun owners rights (people need to defend themselves). Stuff like that. I resigned myself a long time ago Joe would win. It was obvious to all. So I hope he does well.

  46. Thank you for asking. Because I watch the riots nightly on stream (Portland, Seattle) myself. I see the anger in the streets and the radical agenda. I have read Kaepernick's demands. No prisons. I have read AOC's demands. No police. I have seen first hand Seattle defund the police and government officials simply allow the looting and destructive behavior nightly. I have heard the people against guns want them ALL out of commission. So I have "concerns" that the AOC group will be running the show. If all of you are right and we continue to have law and order I will be a happy camper. And like I said if Joe is his own man he will be the most popular president since Kennedy IMO. Thanks for asking. Trust me there are people who think like me. It is good to get all perspectives.
