  10. Start Vaughn on the MLB roster. Waiting 6 weeks would be asinine.

  13. Missouri is ran very differently than this state. If there is a state that can screw this up, it's ours. Didn't help with football. Lori said the Bears didn't communicate well enough with her.

  16. If it is just tax/estate planning for a sale to a different owner, fine. If it's to control the team in perpetuity after Jerry's death, then it looks like I'll continue allocating White Sox ticket and merchandise money for other entertainment options. 26 U.S. Code § 666 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/666

  18. This effectively moves Avisail Garcia to a 4th OF/bench role. Their OF is now Cain, Bradley, Yelich - basically it is impossible to get a hit on a fly ball against them. In that weak NL Central...could be a difference maker?

  23. The Dodgers sent down Gavin Lux just last year and were criticized for it. Every team does it because it's smart. 7 years of control is better than 6 years of control. It's pretty much a fact.

  25. You just proved my point. Funny, the Dodgers and Yankees don't play these service time games and they seem to be a lot more successful than White Sox. The Padres are "all in" this season. Trying to finally win the AL Central is not "All In". Fucking over Andrew Vaughn is not going to help the Sox today or tomorrow. Emulate the Dodgers and Yankees, not Seattle and other teams that suck ass in perpetuity.

  28. Watching 6 years of a player is better than watching 5. And if that player is good that gives you a better product for a whole extra year. Remember when our team tried to be good every year? Cuz I do and it sucked. By being bad they actually became good and have given us a better product. I know that doesn’t fit with whatever narrative you are trying to push but this is how you get a better product.

  29. Am I the only person who is not in favor of LuCroy making the team. Keep Yermin and Collins for 2 weeks to see what we have and demote the weaker of the 2 when Vaughn is ready.

  31. Agree, and the Sox haven't had the best of records on second basemen recent decades. I'm pretty confident about Madrigal being a team glue guy that may captain the team some day, and play D. But he doesn't seem like a can't miss in terms of being worth a big up front deal in an era that doesn't emphasise batting average. Like, I'm not sure he becomes a mega contract guy on his next deal if the team just let it play out.

  35. Yup not real concerned about Burr, Sousa Tomshaw, Johnson,Dopico, Guerrero, Lindgren, McRae, Medeiros,Paulino, Sadzeck,Vargas and Wright pitching poorly. The majority of guys expected to make the team haven't even pitched for the most part.

  46. After three years we’ll only have Anderson, Eloy, Robert, Moncada, Vaughn, Madrigal, Cespedes, Cease, Kopech, Crochet, Kelly, Thompson, Vega, Bummer, Heuer and anybody like Giolito who may or may not be signed to an extension to build around. It’s almost like it ended before it even begun! Hopefully they all pan out because there is no way they will acquire another player over the next three years!

  47. I wouldn't be mad if the Sox draft the catcher out of Louisville but the goal of this draft should ideally be adding as many young, athletic, up the middle guys as they possible can.
