We are now at the point of blaming Madrigal for opponents losing their equipment6 points

He always seems to have a worried, stressed look on his face. Maybe that's just how he plays, but maybe he is indeed in his head. I think he's a much better player than he's shown so far. It'll be interesting (and aggravating at times) to watch him grow.5 points

LaRussa should never have been hired. As usual no there was no thought process in making this important decision. Admit the mistake, fire him again, and act like a major league club. Then do a real search for a real manager.4 points

A small aside: Stone and Bennetti are really top-class announcers and the White Sox are lucky to have them. The catcher's interference call, while annoying to us (and obvious and something that took an inordinately long time to review), was clearly correct and it was nice to hear them defend it as such without homerism. I listen to a fair amount of local broadcasts from around the league and IMO that's not typical.4 points

I'm sorry but Keuchel is pretty much done. He has no velocity and he has to have pin point control to have any chance at success. Hopefully we see Kopech back in the starting rotation by June.4 points

Somewhere in the dugout, TLR is fuming that he can't get Hendriks a save.4 points

His pressers are so friggin embarrassing! He can barely stay awake and seems annoyed that the questions are keeping him up. Makes me wonder how many times he's dosed off during the games. The lethargic play so far is a reflection of their drowsy manager.3 points

I'm new to this forum but I was a big anti-rebuild guy. All I heard from Sox Nation during the tanking years was to be patient and that a juggernaut Sox team was coming. This season obviously isn't over but this team doesn't look much different from the tank years so far.3 points

It doesn’t worry you in the slightest that Tony looks so incompetent?3 points

2 best relievers in the pen are fresh, the inning started with a 3 run lead, and Foster still had to eat giving up 7 runs. Bullpen management doesn't get anymore incompetent than that. Wake up.3 points

He's been bad in the field (-0.6 runs), he's been atrocious on the basepaths (-5 runs), and in over 100 MLB ABs he literally has not hit a single ball over 350 feet (no really). Even if he carries a .350 OBP long-term that is a below average player and a disappointment from a top 5 pick. OBVIOUSLY we "lanklets" aren't going to randomly bring all that up when he dinks a double off the sidewall but since you asked, here you go. (And I say all this as someone who thinks he deserves at least a few months to settle in)3 points

Man I am sick and fucking fired of you guys bitching about DEPTH. What the fuck more do you want other than 1.5 WAR types like Mendick and Eaton given JR's budget? Hahn did as well as he could. Just STFU until next offseason and then b**** about JR's pocketbook. We have like 9 WAR on the shelf right now. Unlike you whiners the Mariners crew, including former pro blowers, is impressed with our depth and how good the Sox look despite the injuries.3 points

The entire justification for hiring TLR, despite all of the baggage that comes with him, was to clean up the exact type of mistakes we've been seeing this season.3 points

Feel like there are some people in here from a few days ago that owe the OP an apology. Last 3 days Robert has looked good and has seen more pitches per AB. Small sample, but so was the initial sample that had posters calling out the OP for being wrong.3 points

There is a big, big, big difference between "I want to see what this guy can do on my 2018 team that is slated to lose 100 games, because if I can get even a bench player out of a Delmonico or a DH out of Palka that means I don't have to spend extra money on an Edwin Encarnacion or trade for Mazara in a few years" and "This team is slated to go to the playoffs this year and this guy will start 140 games on the way there". If we're ready to throw in the towel on the season and trade away anyone who's a FA at the end of the year, then it's fine to allow Madrigal to have the whole year to work through problems. No one is, except for today's lineup. The standard was supposed to be different when we're trading for veteran guys rather than trading them away.3 points

wtf are we doing with Vaughn if we are only going to play him 2/3 days.. absolutely asinine to have him up for this. Waste a year of service and don't allow for him to get out of his funk.3 points

Offensively I see nothing to suggest he’ll ever hit more than a couple HRs in a season. I do think the rest of his game will improve over time. He seems to be way too much in his own head and/or trying to do too much. There is no chance he is this bad in the field and on the bases. How much better he’ll be remains to be seen though.3 points

We've been wearing masks for nearly a year. For those of us vaccinated, why wouldn't we continue wearing masks for a while longer until we get the majority of the population vaccinated? Wearing a mask to go to the store, go out to dinner, go to a baseball game is not difficult. The only way we get out of this is to keep doing what we have been doing as the vaccines are rolled out. As someone else pointed out, vaccinated people not wearing masks will only lead to non-vaccinated people not wearing masks. We're so damn close, and there are so many people (and governments) doing everything in their power to fuck things up.3 points

The Mariners commentary on this granny was priceless. "His only other home run this year was a grand slam." *crack* "ahhhh, make that 2 grand slams"3 points

Madrigal defense hasn’t been impressive at all. Makes a lot careless mistakes with his footwork. Disappointing last year and currently with his defense when it was supposed to be a strength.2 points

The passing of the torch from Konerko to Abreu was seamless but sometimes I think about how we are missing a big chunk of Abreu's prime, and his career numbers don't reflect how good he is. That's like ~6 years of .900 OPS, about 200 homers missing.2 points
