Wanna know who the fans think is a pussy? The manager who isn’t defending his players and siding with the other team cause of UnWrItTeN RuLeZzzzz. The same manager who disobeys REAL LIFE rules, drinks and drives. Give me a fucking break. Dudes a disaster and people like you defending him are just as ignorant.10 points

Lets not make this a TLR thread - there is another place for that. Lets get out and celebrate the awesome players...in this case the stopper Gio who showed up like the ace we all expect him to be. Huge bounce back game and awesome performance by him and a nice job by Liam Hendricks. Nice win!!!9 points

Larussa was so worried about yermin getting thrown at and hurt he said he had no problem with the Twins doing exactly that. Good call!8 points

Lot of hatred in the game thread about Collins...Baron makes multiple posts about Collins being worst catcher in baseball every time he catches...making me wonder if Zack has run over Baron's dog or something. Still Collins got on base twice, his OPS is .700 (which is hard for a guy that plays twice a week) and the pitchers ERA when he catcher is under 3.00...including the no-hitter. Lefty power hitter, good batting eye and seemingly calls a good game...lots of value in that.7 points

TLR being the "bad cop" in the clubhouse, on a team with this much talent, is sorta perfect. Takes all the pressure off the players and unites them. I don't agree with what TLR said about Yermin but I don't think it hurts the club. In fact, it helps them. Similar to Ozzie's rants. This is quite the season we've got going on the South Side. I think I'm just going to enjoy the ride and not try and micro analyze much anymore. Just win baby. @DirtySox -- totally. I'm not saying TLR did it on purpose, but he certainly united the club and Giolito his ace went out and performed for him today through the "turmoil". lol, this is a meme:6 points

You have really lost it. Of all of the people to give cult like devotion to, this is the 2nd strangest one. No idea what the politics has to do with it, but the only derangement is by those who can see this disaster unfolding in really slow motion and thing that everything is fine. You need to accept that the man isn't the best person to be managing the White Sox these days, and he is making a lot of self inflicted dumb mistakes. Laugh react or not, anyone who can't accept that has no idea about the game of baseball.6 points

McEwing sticking up for Mercedes. I would say La Russa should take notes on sticking up for his players, but who am I to question a "Hall of Fame manager baseball guy".6 points

Well, it's not repetitive because La Russa gives a new, easily avoidable and completely moronic blunder/scandal every few weeks since he's been here.6 points

It’s funny, usually the “unwritten rules” are meatballish and macho to a fault. Here Tony pulled off the rare feat of adhering to them while also looking like a complete pussy.6 points

Quit acting like Gio pitching a great game somehow magically makes TLR’s horse shit all good.5 points

I would play for Tony LaRussa in a heartbeat. So would tray, Harold's Leg Lift, etc.5 points

Guys, could you please cool it? You're really ruining Harry Chapas experience and joy as a fan by being critical of LaRussa.5 points

If Yermin took the pitch and it was called a strike, what happens the next pitch? Is he then allowed to try, and if so, doesn't that show how dumb that unwritten rule is?5 points
-
I find it amazing that he knows the unwritten rules better than the written rules of the game.5 points

The fact that TLR takes the Twins side on trying to hit Yermin is puzzling to me. He seems to have no problem as long as it doesn't hit him in the head. What if he broke a hand? TLR is a punk.5 points

Can we pass one week without a completely avoidable TLR faux pas? Doesn't seem likely which really sucks5 points

Which is brilliant juxtaposed to the fact that he doesn't even know the written rules...you know, the one's that actually matter.5 points

The more Tony speaks, the more I'm ok with Yermin doing what he did. LaRussa has admitted the take sign was on because he wanted to "respect the Twins" and keep sportsmanship alive. Having Yermin keep his bat on his shoulder during a 15-4 game for that reason, when stats are king and that's how these guys make a living.....no dice. Fuck LaRussa and his old school thought process. I would have done the same thing Yermin does.4 points

TLR is "totally oblivious" to pretty much everything Leave it to that guy to alienate a player on a team nine games over .5004 points

Agree with 100%. The bitching about LaRussa just to b**** is already sooooo repetitive and boring. Jesus, get over it and move on. You guys create reasons to b****. Game after game results have shown (like Lamb last night) that your complaints about his lineups have no, zero validity. And the guy that wants to bring up guys from AAA so we can dump the vets? Come on, let’s at least return to reality with your bitching. For all the complains, LaRussa must be doing something right, best record in AL. Now your big b**** is clubhouse drama? Yermin is a big boy; he’ll be just fine.4 points

Just think, within the next 2 weeks there will probably be something else that will add 10-20 pages to this thread and there’s literally no way to guess what it will be! In game decision? Clubhouse issue? Racism? Crime? The possibilities are endless!4 points

People really underestimate how easy/convenient it is to get to The Cell.4 points

What. The. Fuck. It's not like it dove inside and hit him in the toe. He deliberately threw at/behind Yermin. There was clear intent. "What did they do?" They tried to hurt your player, and you defended them. What a piece of shit.4 points

Tony breaking the trust of his players will have consequences he must endure within the family. And my within the family I mean publicly and by members outside the family. It is therefore only fair that the sox players strategically place rakes constantly near where Tony is standing today to recreate the following:4 points
