Oh wow! What great timing! I didn't see you the last two times he didnt give up runs5 points

People here bitching about why let Lynn hit are the same people who b**** endlessly about the bullpen. Can't win.5 points

Hendriks nutted up and got the win, appropriately. Goodwin with another huge hit. Lynn pitched well again, and was robbed of the win.4 points

What's the point of bullpen depth when you can't pinch hit for your starter 5 innings in?4 points

ah yes but have you ever heard of...the double switch?? genius move that takes a master tactician to execute4 points

So what you’re saying is Collins didn’t frame the context of the tweet well4 points

Out of morbid curiosity, if you can't even enjoy a win, then what's the point?3 points

Yes, it must be a vast conspiracy that at 5pm I got off work and turned on my other computer. IDK about you, but I work until 5-6pm pretty frequently, and I post less during work because I'm getting my ass handed to me there. Holy shit. You're sitting here stanning for Kimbrel as if he's done something to earn your admiration as a White Sox. He's a dominant arm who was having an incredibly dominant year after two bad ones. I heard a lot of excuses for the bad years; now I'm hearing an excuse for why he gave up 3 runs to blow a lead. The fact is, every game he blows makes the trade worse and worse because he will pitch in SO FEW innings his impact is really tied to shutting the door in the chances he does have. That's why the trade was a poor way to spend your assets at the deadline, as I said.3 points

I've barely posted since the trade pal; occasionally I have other things to do in my life than post. As much as I enjoy it; I am posting now because I Just got off work after a long ass work week.3 points

We used one of our best trades chip on a fucking bird man asshat that can't pitch the inning he's supposed to because we already spent like 60 million covering that. Awesome!3 points

WE HAVE THE BEST 8-9 INNING BULLPEN IN THE GAME GUYS! (proceed to blow game to AAA Iowa)3 points

He just blew a freaking 3 run lead in the 8th inning guy. The entire point I've made is that one or two bad outings literally degrade the value of the trade given the limited amount of games in which he makes a serious impact over his replacement. That's why trading a boat load for a reliever is terrible, and his ERA Is now over 9 with the Sox which again... is why trading a shit ton for a reliever who is already paid 16 million and pitching in a set up role is something no other team has done. Kimbrel will be fine, but guess what? He blew one of the chances that a replacement likely would not have.3 points

It doesn't matter when they last pitched. Not one single manager in the history of the games brings in their closer 1A or 1B into the 7th inning. No one. And it's not about to start for a meaningless regular season game.3 points

If people are still questioning Grandal's value after a month of actual replacement level catching they can't be helped3 points

Got 2 months still until the playoffs. Yes, if our offense is playing like this in October we’re not going anywhere but we have plenty of time before that’s an issue.3 points

At this point, have him emerge from the cornfield on Thursday.3 points

simply put, you don't trade for the best closer in baseball and not make him the closer. He has very little experience as a set-up man. His velocity is down without the added adrenaline. He also excels by throwing curves when hitter is expecting a fastball. Romine needed to see a curve on 2-2 or 3-2.2 points

So glad they got an aging $19m closer instead of 5+ years each of a .300 hitter and future stud reliever2 points

one of the dumbest trades ever I'm going to say it right now. I don't even like Nick that much but you DON'T TRADE FOR A CLOSER TO USE IN THE 8TH INNNING.2 points

I am so sick of Moncada. And people keep justifying him because of his defense. I just don't see it. That bunt attempt to day was so clearly an error. It got out to him and he should have gotten it on one bounce, for a major leaguer, that was an easy out. How many times this year has a friendly home scorer given hits for Moncada (and Anderson) on clear errors? A ton. And if anyone mentions his war, I'll puke.2 points

You better make sure Jerry Reinsdorf doesn't know where you live if you're going to propose such a massive increase in roster size and salaries.2 points

Given the construction of this roster, I'd much rather see Vaughn in the OF. He's a significantly more valuable player if he can handle LF/RF at passable effectiveness like we've seen so far.2 points

He walked Moncada earlier and now he throws it 2 feet outside the zone and gets the call. Fantastic.2 points

It's to roll the order and not have three consecutive likely outs at the bottom with seby Engel and pitcher. It's not a bad decision2 points

I am so lucky right now! I was looking at tickets on Stubhub and talking to coworkers about not really wanting to buy tickets for $1100 a piece. My boss walks by and asks if I'm going to the Field of Dreams game. I reply, "I wish but probably not unless tickets take an unexpected turn and go down." He then says his wife was selected but had no interest in going and didn't want to spend the money for it. So they gave me their opportunity and I gladly bought the pair. I AM GOING TO THE FIELD OF DREAMS GAME!!!!!2 points
