  1. Not sure where to put this, but over his last 50 PA’s Yoelqui has a 15.1% BB rate, 18.9% K rate, .341 ISO, & 207 wRC+. I know that’s a small sample, but given his age I’d be pushing him to AA.

  2. YOU CAN PUT IT IN THE CORNNN. YES! Hawk, somewhere in Granger, IN, probably.

  3. Wheres Vaughn on this list? He was supposed to be in AA this year.

  4. That was the best regular season game I've been to in my entire life. The crazy ticket prices were worth every penny. MLB did a great job and the company who did the food was great too. (I think the longest I waited in line for a beer was about 45 seconds). Really the only negative was the merch lines were outrageous, but I guess that's a good thing as it kept me from spending more money, lol.

  5. Watching every possible video with every angle, every call. Give me MOAR. I need all of the fan reacs, drone shots, field level, no announcers. Everything. What an iconic moment that we will not soon forget.

  6. What? Why shouldn't he? A team had just erased a 3 run deficit in the top of the ninth on homeruns from two of the biggest star power hitters in the game. That is incredible and insane and any broadcaster should absolutely be excited in that moment, just like he was excited when Tim answered back.

  7. Joe Crede extra innings against the Indians is still my favorite regular season walk-off. JOE! CREDE!

  8. They should do more special games, but not all at the Field of Dreams site. Like old teams with old uniforms would be cool, but ... Padres-Rays would be stupid, even if they're two very exciting teams. But if they found cool sites that made sense, they should go for it with these alternate site games for teams. I know the Barons play in the Rickwood Classic, but it'd be a lot more exciting if the Sox wore Black Barons jerseys and the Royals were the Monarchs. Finding somewhere in Brooklyn would be a logistical nightmare - really only Cyclones Park (the Mets minor league team) or a temporary stadium in Prospect Park (which would cause an uproar) make sense - but the Dodgers/Giants having a return to New York might capture some of the same magic. I see Brooklyn Dodgers gear around here plenty. Do more cool-ass games in non-MLB stadiums with high production value. Sell advertising to placate the owners. The game gets to go places it doesn't normally. Everyone wins.

  9. Rust and terrible pitch selection. I'm not sure why we kept thinking we can get Judge out on high and outside fastballs in the zone. The dude is 6'7 with like a 7'0 wingspan. His plate coverage is insane. Letting him just extend his arms on velocity is incredibly dumb, especially when you already went to that pitch once in both at bats that he homered in. I'm also sure Liam didn't want to hang the slider to Stanton, but I think you gotta realize that Stanton's bat speed isn't what it used to be. If anything, you challenge Stanton with velocity and you don't speed his bat up.

  10. I have been a fan of the WS for over 65 years. This had to be one of the 5 most memorable games in my lifetime.

  11. Didn't do the customary bat flip, instead he used Grandal's move, which looks just as cool

  14. Although Kopech shouldn't have shown up the umpire on the (blatant) strike three missed call, I loved seeing his passion last night. That was the most animated I've seen him on the mound. He was definitely rattled after the bad call, and Cairo made the right decision to pull him. But the dude has absolutely filthy stuff, and he's going to be a star. Aside from Liam blowing the save, it was cool to see guys like Abreu, Eloy, Kopech, Bummer, Kimbrel, and TA get the national spotlight. This team is dynamic and will be a force to be reckoned with for a few years.

  20. Konerko and Podsednik are #1 & #2. I was at WS Game 2 and have always held Konerko's as #1 just because without it we were going back to Houston 1-1 whereas Podsednik could've walked and scored and we still would have won. Thome's should probably be #3 but this one by TA was really something.

  21. TA7's walkoff is definitely a strong contender for best regular season home run, but there are levels to this shit, and most major home runs in the playoffs are going to beat even the best regular season homers. On a personal note, I went with Blum's 13th inning homerun. It has always had a special place in my heart for a weird reason - it was the only one I didn't see. I was only 11 in '05, and despite my Dad's best efforts, he eventually lost the argument with my Mom around the 11th and I was sent to bed (it was a school-night).... only to come flying down the stairs when I heard my parents erupt into cheers during that HR. At that point, they would have had to physically pick me up and carry me away from the TV, so I saw the bottom of the 13th, but I've never let them forget that they made me miss that moment. At the same time, missing it has built it up to an even more mythical status in my mind.

  22. The MVP trophy is Kevin Costner. He lives with the winner for a year, wandering aimlessly around their backyard while dropping movie quotes.

  23. I was on vacation with my family during the WS in 2005. I had the game on and they all went to sleep. I was watching intently. What a brutal 1st game that was. Highs and lows. Then Pods gets up, hasn't hit a homer all year, unleashes that homer in that situation. Unreal. I lost my shit. I screamed so loud and woke everyone up. I didn't care. My team was in the World Series for the first time in my life. What a moment. I'll never forget it.

  24. Most unlikely would be Mercedes as he wasn't even really considered an MLB player and was outstanding for that run.

  25. Tim was the best regular season moment for me. Nothing can top Scotty Pods though. It was just so unlikely and incredible and important.

  26. I honestly think of him as mediocre closer. Average save %. Throws hard, but wild in the strike zone. Always has to go right at them. It seems like he can't succeed if his stuff isn't perfect. I'll be the first to admit Larussa didn.t do him any favors by sitting him for 6 games before hand.

  28. Are you serious? We have become a nation of conspiracy theories, many propagated on Twitter. No way this was scripted. Multimillionaires like Hendriks are not going to throw their careers and legacy away , and there is no guarantee that someone will hit a homer even on a cookie. Too many players would have had to be on it. It is implausible.

  29. 4D chess by Miguel Cairo, having Liam dramatically blow the save just to have Seby "I'm The New Backup" Zavala walk ahead of the Tim "I'm The New Face of MLB" Anderson home run? He is learning from TLR!

  31. It is an interesting question...does Kimbrel take over the 9th inning duties? The # of home runs allowed by Hendriks is a concern.

  32. Yeah, he gives up way too many HRs, doesn't walk or give up many hits but damn he gets squared up way too oten for an "elite" closer.
