I’m not sure how I found this place. I swear I asked Jeeves to find me “Sextalk,” and I was expecting something totally different when I entered the “Pale Hose Talk” forum.

Congrats to the Bulls #1 CBS ranking. I am not a regular but excellence must be honored and recognized. I will certainly follow them to help forget the MLB self-destruction.
The irony here is this is coming from a guy that has been here since 2016 and has made over 1,300 posts on this website.
This is what the Sox have looked like since you arrived at this site:
2016: 78-84
2017: 67-95
2018: 62-100
2019: 72-89
2020: 35-25 (Made Playoffs)
2021: 93-69 (Won Division)
If you're still this angry in 2022....then the jokes on you, sparkles. Don't like the team? Aren't happy? Fucking leave. No one is forcing you to root for the team. I was arguably a bigger Blackhawks fan than White Sox fan, and I haven't watched a second of them and don't have any plans to in the future. I've moved on from a franchise I no longer believe in.
I'm telling you everything needs to be sunshine and rainbows. You want to complain? Fine. But every single post? Find a new hobby, and quick.
I quit paying attention to the Bears and the NFL ages ago. It is quite possible to quit a sports franchise. I spend zero energy on that sorry team and couldn’t be happier. Continually threatening to do so while constantly whining on a message board says more about you than it is an indictment of the team. There are dozens of other sports teams you could invest in, yet you choose to remain miserable. Log off, flip on the tv, and find your bliss elsewhere, please.
Fun how Vooch is settling into this role. Still missing some frustrating close shots but feels like his line has been like 18 pts 14 rebounds 5 assists and other stats stuffing.
Just a magical run right now. Feels a lot like 2011.
That's great. And mad respect for Beal for showing the rookie it. I'm sure Beal has probably done that for a few of the young players in the league. Great guy.
Ayo and Coby took over this game. Bad shooting night for most of the starters and they picked up the slack. I think the bench was 20/23 at one point on FGs.
I often wonder if the players are against the new tendency to use one inning openers to start games, which usually means 7-10 pitchers used in that game? And, if they are against it, is this an issue in the work stoppage?
Same question with excessive use of shifts.
I hate both strategies, especially the one inning openers. If the players want to change this, I'm with them.
I have no idea what they're doing with the rest of their money. I've heard that they like Cesar Prieto but I don't think they have enough $$ for that. I'm assuming they have multiple $400-$600K signings that I don't know about
I read an article where the owners are supposed to offer something major to the players. We will see if this is true and how credible the offer is. But if there isn't a break in the negotiations soon, I don't see how see the season starts on time. They need to at least start talking. The 1994 strategy of stonewalling is not going to work.
I'm 50, so I'm moving in to the old man's club. I joined Soxtalk around the start of the rebuild. I used to post on the White Sox official message board until they discontinued that. And I just never heard of Soxtalk. I used to wonder why there wasn't a good Sox message board.
I'm 65. Was super active on here in 2005, and for a couple years after that, but checked out of most of the rebuild. Been a Sox fan since 1970. Switched off the Cubs after the 1969 debacle. So I have never given up being a Sox fan, just not as motivated to post when the team was not good.
A wimpy businessman in a role too big for him firing people for minimal criticism is not new.
Him suffering any real consequences for doing so…would be.
People getting fired is not cancel culture ?. Rosenthal will be just fine, this is bogus as hell and Manfred is a b**** but Rosenthal did not get cancelled. He still works for the athletic. He will still work for Fox as far as I know.
Back to back play off births that lasted one series then elimination. That is hardly what the rebuild was aiming at, we were told they were aiming at multiple World Series births not just showing up and embarrassing ourselves in the play offs.
