I think this thinking is the key. Instead of fans taking sides with the players or the owners, we should advocate for our own interests. There's plenty of people and corporate interests who already profit big time. We fans won't profit from a delayed season or some dumb playoff scheme.
I'm at the point of "I really don't give a fuck about arguing this with other posters anymore because it's been discussed ad nauseam"
I hope the players can get something concrete out of this for our troubles as fans, and I truly think some of the players' proposals would make for a better on-field product for fans.
I hope AKME do something before Thursday. Because even with Caruso and Ball, I'm not sure this team has enough to be a true title contender right now. Plus all these crazy trades is giving me some serious FOMO.

Walsh is also a massive raise the minimum wage guy, so I can't imagine he loves the minor league pay structure introduced by the "Save America's Pastime Act"
Speaking of Cleveland, one of their top pitching prospects is none other than Konnor Pilkington, who put up great numbers last year. He is on their 40-man roster. Can't remember who we got for him....
Correct, just like people wearing seatbelts never go to the hospital.
When was the last time you heard of someone having polio? Shall we give people the chance to catch that again?
I wouldn't use the word "stops" as that implies 0% transmission which isn't the case. It does, as you noted, greatly decrease the spread.
However, if enough people got vaccinated, it would, in a short period of time, stop the spread.
Nonsense. It absolutely stops the spread. Less people contract the virus with vaccine than without -> less people spread. With delta those impacts were less impactful but non delta was significant.
