There was nothing in his numbers last year to suggest he was a good acquisition4 points
-
Yes, and my uneducated prediction is he’s traded in the next 48 hours to the Phillies or Dodgers.3 points
-
Absolute insanity that plan A for 2b is one of those 2 guys playing every day3 points
-
Would love to know exactly what their game plan was during the lockout for how to pursue players once it opened up. God help us if this was their actual plan.3 points
-
I don't think Our Chuck is allowed to talk about Harrison without saying he brings a lot of energy.3 points
-
Fuck Steve Stone…I love him as an announcer, but the dude is the absolute worst on Twitter.3 points

Contrary to what people say, Abreu to me has turned into a very good defender at 1B.3 points
-
You mean it's not possible to replace a 5 war SP without adding an actual SP to the roster?? good thing there's plenty of upper minros pitching depth on the way ?3 points
-
Buehrle would be in the 6th by now.3 points

They literally haven't addressed a single issue coming into the offseason except the middle of the bullpen. Improved Backup Catcher - NO Improved Rightfielder - NO Improved 2B - NO Improved rotation - NO Improved bullpen depth - YES Trade Kimbrel - NO I am unsure how anyone would call this anything other than an F.3 points
-
I'm high on Vaughn too, just not sure what that has to do with right fielders. ?3 points
-
You’re high on Sheets & Vaughn despite the Jermaine Dye level defense they provided in RF last year? And you’re high on Engel despite coming off of surgery and consistently missing time every season? Adam Engel might be the most overrated player in Soxtalk history.3 points
-
Without adding a RF or legit 2B option I can’t give them any higher than a C. It’s been a bad offseason. Plus we have no idea what they will have to give up to get Manaea. We might hate it. He is a rental after all.3 points
-
I would rather watch Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion.3 points
-
I’d do that without question. I just want Kimbrel gone for anything halfway useful.2 points
-
We’re going to keep hearing the Kimbrel for Bellinger rumor, as Bellinger looks awful. Ten straight strike outs for him. I think I would be cool with the trade, but it’s a bit risky.2 points
-
It bleeds into his announcing too. I don't know why people like listening to him. If you listen to Jason with literally anyone else, it is a better broadcast. Stone isn't the same guy as he used to be.2 points
-
The mind boggling offseason and the lack of TLR-proofing to the roster has dampened my enthusiasm a touch, but I'm sure once we have real games at the park and on TV every day my excitement levels will rise. But I would be far more excited if they added a Conforto, a Robbie Ray, and added any quality 2B. I'm not overly doom & gloom but I fear those errors will loom over the team all season long.2 points

This is complete lunacy. Easily the most anticipated White Sox season since 2006.2 points

Especially against RHP…like this organization still doesn’t get how platooning works.2 points
-
Leury and Harrison are gonna get way too much playing time2 points
-
I thought paying $22.3M per incremental via relief pitching was the market inefficiency.2 points
-
Utility players and relievers can get 3 years from RH, but surely not in their prime position players like Conforto2 points

Leury and Josh Harrison are gonna kill so many potential big innings this year2 points

Can definitely get used to back to back jacks from Robert & Abreu2 points

Not upgrading backup C is yet another off-season failure for Hahn2 points
-
Someone should mail him some kneepads. He could use it for how often he sucks ownership/FO off. I get that it's his job but it still pisses me off. And the smugness and attitude is disgusting.2 points
-
Hahn was shocked other teams also valued starting pitching. He was caught off guard. Thought he found a market inefficiency2 points
-
Is this the spring game that reminds us of all of the holes they didn't address this winter?2 points
-
Remember, Stony Pony said we don’t need to add another starter since we’re already five deep and that improved defense & health on the positional side will solve all our problems. And you wonder why he was never afforded a front office opportunity.2 points

Terrific play by Abreu to turn a double play there wow2 points

If you think Velasquez is bad, take a look at the SP depth that's waiting to replace him when he's inevitably DFA'd ?2 points
-
Holy shit he’s come back into the game…2 points

I'd like to return this beer please.2 points

Leury easily going to crack 100 games this season…that massive hole in RF will make sure of it2 points
-
As to RF, Keith Law had some good things to say about Colas. He's been watching backfields games and said Colas is doing well in High A games with plus power and arm. Could be a fast riser. He also liked Ramos alot.2 points
-
But we were told when we brought him back this wouldn't be the case!!!2 points
-
I fucking can’t stand Petriello so I’m not going to read whatever he’s saying, but if Robert starts 150 games this year, he’s a top-5 MVP for sure. I have no doubt about that. He just needs to stay on the field and not be another Buxton.2 points
-
They 100% need a SP more than a RF. Trade for Manaea, get what you can for Kimbrel, and then I'll feel like this has been at least a B- offseason.2 points
-
I would have Eloy DH only. Vaughn in LF and combo of Sheets, Engel and Leury in RF based on matchups. Eloy is a defensive liability and injury risk to himself and others.2 points

I've already turned against my opinions from 10 minutes ago, I'm now on the side that Burger could be a part time 2b and I buy it. In ten minutes I may come to the conclusion that given Harrison's career marks at 2b and Leury's weirdly bad 2b he may in fact be the best 2b on our team. He may be an MVP candidate in an hour.2 points

Oh, I guess he is vainly anti-big-business in a more consistent manner than I thought. It doesn't matter, however, because Bernie is what I said he was. Anyone who thinks a sitting senator genuinely and meaningfully opposes corporatism is not 'informed.'1 point
