Sorry, but having Tanner Banks, Kyle Crick, Matt Foster, Dallas Keuchel, Jose Ruiz Bennett Sousa and Vince Velasquez all on the OD roster for a "World Series Contending" team gives me some pause.11 points

Look, I am a huge Jake Burger fan, and really want to see him do great things, but some of yall need to quit day drinking.9 points

Moncada just lost his starting spot. Burger is going to rake. And he's going to play with energy and passion, unlike Moncada who seems annoyed to be out there. As far as injuries go, this should actually improve the roster6 points

I got a ticket package this year, I learned food is delivered to the seats, miller lite cold aluminum bottles will be everywhere, Luis Robert will be in CF, AJ Pollock's beard is beautiful, just sim the damn season and see you in november if you can't enjoy this5 points

Yoan plays more games than anyone not named Abreu on this team damn near every year. 149, 132, 52 of 60, 144. This narrative that Yoan is always hurt, when guys like Anderson, Robert and Eloy are hurt way more often is another odd one.5 points

Remy is French Bruce Bochy was born in France Bruce Bochy, as we all know, is heavily associated with the Giants The Giants share a geographic region with the Oakland A's The A's are rebuilding and Montas is their big chip left The Coliseum is cavernous and you need big power to hit homers Burger is clearly telegraphing that he's getting traded to the A's5 points

white sox are literally not going to make the playoffs this year and everyone will be like well.. injuries no, it was a shitty offseason while every other team in the division got significantly stronger4 points

Better range at 2nd than Madrigal! (Sorry, couldn't resist).4 points

If he was legit, he would sneeze and not flinch. Anyone who thought Moncada could make it through the season without being injured was fooling themself. But you had to think he could make it to the season. The one thing about Yoan is I don't think he has a very high threshold of pain. If he cut his fingernail too short, he'd make it look like someone needed to roll an ambo.4 points

Nope but there’s no doubt in my mind he could put up a better slugging. I’ll be honest, I’d rather see Burger face LHP than Yoan.4 points

I actually think Crick could be a big surprise this year, and I'll never give up on Foster mania. Also will never ever understand the hate for Ruiz. Some of the weirdest and most misplaced anger on all of Soxtalk.4 points

that last year Ruiz has had a FIP under 4. I'd LOVE to trade Adolfo for any guy like that.4 points

I mean all you have to do is read the damned thread to see you are wrong. Even better is slamming Yoans health for a dude who missed 3 YEARS of baseball due to injuries.3 points

So let me see if I’ve got this right… Moncada has a minor injury and says he’s willing to try and play through it… team shuts him down for a really small amount of time. Some people then claim he’s lazy, a showboat, and will now lose his spot as a starter. Am I missing anything here?3 points

Last April? Try as soon as they announced the next manager haha3 points

You might want to stay out of the game threads, Jack. That would be like going to an AA meeting at the local tavern. Just kidding...dive right in....trial by fire kind of thing.3 points

I couldn't fathom a day where I'd long for Ricky to be the manager again. Well, until last April.3 points

This. I’m a big Moncada fan. And playing baseball everyday would hurt. But he acts like he has a season ending injury every couple weeks. Even if he’s fine in a day or two. I think that’s where the rep comes from.3 points

Well then don't tell jokes around him and keep him away from ragweed.3 points

if you guys didn't catch this, check out Burger's beautiful play last night before they shipped him to Jetsland3 points

If the Sox had acquired Paddack, I would have told you why Katz could fix him, helped him develop a third pitch, etc. Now that the Twins have him: Bring me Craig Dedelow3 points

I like Moncada the player. It just seems to be every time he has a minor tweak on the field, he makes it look like best case scenerio, he might be back next year.2 points

The guy has never played less than 80% of the available games in a given year!!!!! stop with this!2 points

One of the oddest I have ever seen was for Colome....it wasn't often pretty but all that guy did was save games when he was here. Gamethreads were fun when he came in but I always had confidence when he was our closer....and yes I do agree with letting him move on when they did and just in time.2 points

Wooo, Leury isn't leading off! Guessing tomorrow's lineup will be 1. Pollock RF 2. Robert CF 3. Abreu 1B 4. Grandal C 5. Jimenez LF 6. Vaughn DH 7. Leury SS 8. Harrison 2B 9. Burger 3B2 points

After trading Tatis, Semien, Bassitt, Montas, Narvaez and then role players the Sox would probably love to pencil in right now like Madrigal (w/e clubhouse issues aside), Pilkington, J.B. Wendelken, you'd think the Sox wouldn't want to trade possible future franchise players for risky panic bets (Montas' track record outside of last season), but people still be proposing them.2 points
-
Montas has pitched more than 100 innings once. I wouldn't be suprised if Vaughn this year has more value than Montas. If you trade Vaughn you better get someone with a longer and better track record.2 points

I see a few 37 year old utility players we can overpay again still out there2 points

I was looking through batter vs pitcher data to make my pick and noticed that TA is 0 for 14 against Eduardo Rodriguez so maybe being suspended for that game isn't a bad thing.2 points

Today is D-day for Adolfo. Hopefully we can find a buyer and get something tiny back in return.2 points
