Eloy gets such a big pass for wildly underachieving expectations that other guys on the team don't receive5 points

Let’s see. Top 2 starting pitchers injured, third best RP injured, starting 3b injured, starting RF injured, starting SS suspended for first two games and a 3-1 start. So this is what it feels like to be a Dodgers fan huh?4 points

Anytime the Sox can win a game that was started by Vince Velasquez, that’s a major plus.4 points
-
he's fast in a straight line. he's slow AF side to side. we've known this for years now.4 points

Has anyone heard from @soxlover15? Hope he’s feeling OK today. ?4 points

Gavin Sheets shouldn't start a single game in RF.4 points

The less Grandal catches the better.4 points

I’ll take this Dalquist line. Some dingers, but showing out on 6k in 4 IP. Simas has picked up where he left off. And BBailey 2-23 points

I love how one poster in particular was saying Cesar is a better player than Harrison. Harrison has already provided more in his 4 games in a Sox uni than that worthless bum Cesar did in 2.5 months. Love his fire and he’s got plenty in the tank.3 points

Good, Grandal will need a rest day behind the plate and Vaughn may need a breather.3 points

Pretty hilarious. "Andrew is not a platoon player." Gotcha. So why is Sheets starting in RF today? "For the platoon advantage." Real "Who's On First" shit from Tony.3 points
-
Also worth noting that despite being a RHP, Brash was tougher on lefties (.476 OPS allowed) than righties (.583 OPS allowed) last year3 points
-
I’m fine getting Sheets in the game, but he should be DH with Grandal catching. Sacrificing defense in RF is a big mistake with the “pitching” we’re likely to see the Sox throw today. Bench Vaughn today, that’s fine. But at least have Engel in.3 points
-
Andrew Vaughn needs to play everyday. Its not that complicated.3 points
-
See the bullshit that happens when you have a decent backup Catcher and Grandal is able to DH more often....but you all had to have that upgrade didn't you....next time think twice before advocating for such moves.3 points

This has obviously been a leak from the A's side. I think they want to get this done sooner or later, and it is no coincidence that it happened right after all of the Sox pitching injuries, and it mentioned Andrew Vaughn by name two days after another rumor did the same thing. I think the A's want to get this done sooner, while the Sox want to get it done at their price. We all know the Sox would much rather sneak up on someone and make a deal in quiet, while Oakland wants the whole world to know so that they can try to get more/bigger bids for their last big chess auction. This information was obviously put out there for a reason and with a purpose.3 points

Can't believe they're pitching Velazquez for the home opener. At least Keuchel is a name.3 points

since you're such a big fan of small sample sizes dictating future playing time, Sheets has a 000 OPS this year, Vaughns is 1455.2 points

I'd actually like him to cut down on his stroke and spank one into left.2 points

Basically never say never to trading any player for the right guy, but they don't think that guy is out there for Vaughn atm2 points

fair enough! this is true. no reason to be raged over it; at this point, I just laugh at La Russa's overall thought process. Lineups don't mean all that much, unless of course you are sitting on of your better hitters 90 times in a season. gotta admit, it's also funny to see vaughn treated as some untouchable by Rick, but he can't even get into the home opener lineup vs a rookie pitcher lol.2 points
-
Those are fairly troublesome in little league.2 points
-
I'm fine with the lineup. Getting Vaughn two days off in a row after his hip pointer isn't the worst idea. It's a marathon guys.2 points
-
Vaughn going to start 70 games with La Russa in charge.2 points

Yesterday: Vaughn is way too valuable to trade for Montas. Today: Vaughn needs to sit so we can get more lefty bats in the lineup.2 points
-
They’re clearly loading up the lefties to face the guy with the crazy slider.2 points

Nevermind my previous statement. Back to TLR hating.2 points

They can make it retroactive to 4/9 right? So he would be able to come back on 4/19?2 points

Do you still think there is smoke there and it’s just delayed?2 points

Sadly, the 2005 ALCS is an animal we will probably never see again.2 points

What a night. "Hey I'm hearing sox are discussing montas with the As..." *TWEETS DEAL IS CLOSE* "...yeah but As are asking for Vaughn and sox aren't interested" *Tweets significant hurdle* Just A+ posting. My new fav twitter.2 points

Nope. Just a subtle did at Greg's tendency to refer to himself in third person. And Greg's from KS, fellow home state of the 1996 presidential nominee.2 points

Give up Kath instead. In the As organization, I'm 10000 percent sure he will become Corey Seager and I'm going to be so irate. Just spend some fucking money rather than wrecking our fucking future. I'm sick and tired of this shit2 points

The Soxtalk mods are too busy pushing the mainstream liberal agenda to be Hector and Mike, imo. I could be wrong though. Crazier things have happened.2 points

Abreu - Elder statesman, the team rock Anderson - Face of the franchise, drives the team Robert - Most talented. Could be the best player this year and possibly in team history. Giolito - Ace that reinvented himself here. Part of trades that signaled the rebuild.2 points
