i’d hoped this might be a good sox talk site. unfortunately it turns out there’s only a small handful of good posters here but it’s mostly made up of crybabies and bad sports fans. the last straw for me tho is the cowardly attack by some (hope you read this CeaseAndExist) via mail, cause they’re too afraid of being banned. good luck to our sox and yes, i won’t let the door … well, you know.6 points

It's Sunday and Leury isn't in the lineup---a true Easter miracle!5 points

It's fun to rack up emoji pts. by making fun of others isn't it ? At least caulfield was talking baseball. You know the thing a White Sox message board was meant to do. What exactly is so miserable about saying other teams might have something to say about Seattle's playoff chances ? He never said he wasn't optimstic because of beating Seattle. You actually seem to be the miserable one. One of the wolfpack of posters who pile on the guys everyone piles on like caulfield and Parkman. Makes you feel like a man I guess, running with the pack and taking bites out of people.5 points

Imagine not playing Vaughn every game with how this offense has looked.4 points

No command of his fastball. Just DFA him, this was never going to work.4 points

A superstar like Marcus Semien?? Sox ties, perfect positional fit, sure he's 32 and coming off a career year...but Sox could have had him for $175 million and all of Soxtalk would have had a glorious winter, and ten games in, when he's hitting .128 with almost no power or walks...it would be the apocalypse on Soxtalk. We already have a bunch of superstars (many also struggling) so they spent the money on depth. Let's see how it plays out before we call them stupid.3 points

Hey guy, we live in a democracy and are entitled to our own opinions. You are also free to walkout the door if you don’t like it.3 points

Meanwhile their 2 contracts cost about the same as Eduardo Escobar's.3 points

Least shocking thing ever. They botched so many things about this offense during the offseason.3 points

except for some bad breaks in the 1st, VV pitched very well. hope all the 'over-reacters' here learned something.3 points

One of the biggest surprises of this season is hit and running/trying to steal with Robert with Abreu at the plate. Robert is 5 for 5 and we have avoided the dreaded Abreu double play ball which hurt us last season. That was my biggest peeve with TLR last season. Kudos to TLR this season for the adjustment.2 points

Bryan Ramos not only puts up great stats but looks like a ball player. He’s a big kid that can run. If he’s still playing great for the next month or so move him up and bring colas with him.2 points

Which means they have to use assets to acquire those pieces, instead of just cash, which they could have done this offseason. Additionally, the Houston Astros have made the ALCS 5 years in a row. That’s not luck. The Sox have lost in two consecutive ALDS and seemingly kept the car in neutral this offseason. Sorry for wanting more. Us Sox fans have really been spoiled, seeing the Sox win 3 playoff series the last 100 years (all in 2005 mind you.)2 points

Bold prediction: Crick in for the win. Garcia with a walk off home run. Reality. A meek 1-2-3 inning and pack for Cleveland.2 points

This has easily been the most boring game of the year. At least the Seattle loss had the crazy pop ups.2 points

JFC. It’s not about the stance, it’s about Eloy switching off every other at bat. Get a clue.2 points

The double plays are far more frustrating. With teams knowing that Robert is a likely threat to run, it changes the pitch strategy with Abreu. All those low and away sliders and stuff should be considered riskier. Plus the pitchers (and catchers) may also make mistakes when they’re thinking about Robert. It’s a very good thing.2 points

I will gladly take a 4-2 week given the injuries, pitching matchups and general poor play by the offense.2 points

Cespedes homers. Think I'm going to watch the Barons instead of the White Sox today after this lovely Velasquez 1st inning.2 points

Too early just to bench the core guys? Fire the scout that recommended Velasquez.2 points

If Moncada is in the lineup as well it makes the offense so much worse2 points

If you don’t work counts and impatiently pull outside pitches to the shortstop all day long then yeah I suppose it could be. I don’t know if that’s the case here but…2 points

I don't have a problem with Engel in RF. The bigger problem is Sheets at DH over Vaughn. Yeah the guy "starting" is a RHP but he's going 3 innings at most and you're going to get a mix of LH and RH after that so might as well go with your better hitter rather than trying to play the platoon advantage.2 points

So, this rotation has literally been the strength of this team without Rodon, Lynn, and Giolito. ERA: 2.27, OPP AVG: .153, OPP OPS: .506, K %: .270, WHIP: .95 Thats first in the AL for all those stats2 points
-
Hard to assume guys will be back at the time rosters need to decrease. So as of now, it has to be 2 relievers since there will be a max of 13 arms. If Giolito is back, then Lambert for sure goes. For Pollock, Mendick goes.2 points

Where would Leury and Josh play? TLR would never bench their veteran grindyness.1 point

I think defense is way more important than a lot of people think. It would probably downgrade defense at both 2nd and 3rd base .TB wins a lot on a shoestring budget because they play good D usually and put a lot of lefties in their lineup which is all fueled by phenomenal drafting and development and restocking the farm the minute someone gets pricey. If the Rays had Moncada they would probably be trading him in the next year or so.1 point

McGuire can steal strikes behind the plate. Collins never could with us.1 point
