No, you don't risk it, not with Vaughn up next. This is 100% on Mendick.5 points

Personally I hope Canada continues to protect it’s citizens by keeping anti vaxxers out.5 points

Like half the roster is replacement level guys or worse, and the manager is an idiot who magnifies all of the teams problems fun times4 points

At this point, I think Pollock sucks for the Sox because we have a fanbase that refuses to spell his name correctly.4 points

To be honest, I didn't think this lineup would get 5 guys on base, let alone 5 runs.3 points

In the span of about a month, I've watched the White Sox hit and run with 1st and 3rd and one out, and now I've seen them have a run taken off the board because they decided to tag up to second with a catcher on third on a fly ball to LEFT FIELD.3 points

They aren't going to resign him to you take what you can get imo. You either get the A- type and a couple lotto tickets that he'd garner at the deadline or you just let him walk or allow an injury or lack of performance to affect his value in the offseason. I'm not going to lie, I'm ready to trade him now. This team is going nowhere fast. This is a bad baseball team. I've seen enough of them to know it when I see it.3 points

I don't think anybody said he would never hit righties. Most said that due to his very limited time in the minors it might take a while before he could.3 points

Since @ShoeLessRobhas failed us. This is the game thread. Any losses will be eternally on his soul.3 points

To be fair, you were also telling us that the offense was going to wake up, so I am not sure you should be taking a victory lap here.3 points

Just disgusting. Not even blaming TLR, it’s just shocking how bad this roster is on May 313 points

Four for each level that are worth AAA Yolbert Sanchez SS/2b Carlos Perez C Davis Martin AA Sean Burke RHP Lenyn Sosa 2b Jose Rodriguez SS Yoelkis Cespedes OF There are relievers in Broadway, Denlinger who were drafted last year as old draftees, but seeing as they are already in AA may be worth monitoring) A+ Oscar Colas OF Bryan Ramos 3b Luis Mieses OF Andrew Dalquist/Thompson There are guys that are older/late round picks playing well in Adam Hackenberg, Terrell Tatum, and Duke Ellis that are fun this year A Christian Mena SP Kohl Simas SP Colson Montgomery SS Wes Kath 3b lots of young position players in bailey, Misael Gonzales, Beard, Wilfred Veras, etc.3 points

In other news, the Twins are starting to falter and can hardly field a team right now, and they go to Toronto after us. Word is “multiple” prominent twins won’t be making that trip. Schedule starts to get tough for the Twinkies after this Detroit series - could definitely see this being their high water mark. So for anyone searching for a positive, that’s all I got.3 points

But that he is a 2 homer per year guy who needs to hit. 320 to have any value nobody saw coming. I'm sorry, but I have to come after this comment. Really? Madrigal would have to hit .320 to have any value, really? On this Sox team, right now, he'd "have to hit .320 to have any value"? Madrigal hit in the .290 range while with the Sox. I looked it up: he's a career .293 hitter. That wouldn't have any value on the Sox now? The Sox have one 2nd baseman batting .167 and the other is batting .190!! A 2nd baseman batting .290 would have not value?? Jesus Christ, just having a guy who can put the bat on the ball consistently would help this Sox team a ton! To actually have a guy who could bring a runner home from from 3rd with less than 2 outs consistently, are you really saying that would have no value to the Sox right now, because they have no one in the order like that right now.3 points

Not a single person person is calling him a savior. People are saying we should use the free roster spot youre for some bizarre reason saying they don’t need, to give him a shot for the series. That’s it. We’ve had awful production out of 2B all season and Leury is probably our main SS now. There’s no harm in giving Yolbert some at bats.3 points

So glad we had our worst OBP guy batting in front of that Vaughn homer.2 points

I will always remember a few of us wanted Soto as a piece in a Robertson deal way back when before he blew up. One of the proudest moments in Soxtalk history.2 points

That's how I used to feel, but now knowing you can still get it and spread it fully vaxxed, if someone doesn't want to get vaxxed, I really don't care anymore. I would think if you aren't vaxxed you would probably be a bit more careful. I know a few weeks after I got fully vaxxed I wasn't so careful, and got lucky I didn't get it.2 points

Look at the bright side, batting the slowest guy on the team leadoff won't be a liability if he never gets on base.2 points

I wish the rest of the team was into yoga. I'll wager there would be fewer muscles injuries if they were.2 points

They are very subjective. Grade 1 is a mild injury with no fibers torn Grade 2 is up to 50% of the fibers torn Grade 3 is 50%-100% There is a variability. This is one most allied health professions use. They also will estimate it using how much of a deficit there is with ROM.2 points

You're seriously gloating and laughing because Buxton is slugging .508, a wRC+ of 127, has 2 times the number of HR's as the Sox top guy, is one of the best CF defensively in MLB, and his fWAR would be 2nd best on the team, because some of us wanted him ?2 points

Mediocre team in mediocre division aims for World Series.2 points

You want to hit the guy with a career MiLB OBP of .299 in the lead off spot because he has a .310 OBP in 30 PAs this season in MLB. Look I get that a lot of guys are struggling, but that is the definition of a LaRussa line up.2 points

Honestly, it’s got to be Moncada or Pollock leading off. Those other are not options.2 points

Canada is also passing a new law “freezing” weapons ( no new weapons will be sold), and they also have an assault weapons ban for civilians.in place. A safer place than the USA in this respect as well.2 points

I’m critiquing the forced nationalism of standing for the anthem, and how this country treats its veterans after they return from pointless skirmishes abroad. I am in no way criticizing those who have served. This nation is incredibly flawed, despite how horrible other nations are. I’m not overly interested in arguing with you, but by all means twist what I’m saying for your own gratification. Peace.2 points
