  1. Sox haven't hit a homer at home in their last 5 games Hey Rick, if you're reading you suck balls at this. Or maybe your spawn is reading. Hey kid your dad sucks balls at this

  2. Stoney is part of the problem with this organization. Bunch of stubborn old guys who think they’re the only ones who know how to play baseball the right way.

  4. I wish some sportswriter would ask Hahn how he, and IMO correctly, determined Renteria wasn't going to lead this team to where it wanted to be, can watch this everyday and still cling to hope they have the right guy. They downgraded. I have never been a LaRussa fan, but I figured he would at least be better than Reneria running a bullpen. That has proven to be wrong. And almost every game he makes some decision against all norms in order to try to be smarter than everyone else, that doesn't work. There isn't a manager alive who if he was trying to win last night, wouldn't have pinch hit for Sheets in the 8th. Except one. Fire him. Fire the GM who had a terrible offseason, and hire someone who realizes baseball isn't brain surgery. The sooner Tony goes home, the better the chances you can salvage something this season.

  5. Tony is a great manager and the players respect him. There is plenty of baseball left and team is certainly still in the hunt

  6. Let it be known. On 6/25/22 at 5:29 PM. After a tapper by Mullins and a Mancini HBP with the bases loaded. Rich officially gave up on the 2022 Chicago White Sox. Fuck this. Fuck this team. Straight bums.

  7. Fans don't even care. The last two games have been so bad nobody gives a shit. Literally nobody cared about yesterday's game. My two college ages sons made the Sox must see tv in 20 and 21....now it's meh if nothing is going on they'll check in. Casual Fans don't give a flying fuck about this team. Another blown opportunity to engage the city especially with it imploding upon itself. Fuck this organization I feel like an idiot for caring.

  8. The Phillies are 15-6 since they fired Girardi. What is wrong with moving on at this point? Simplistic and cliche or not, who can seriously argue that LaRussa is the guy to lead this team to a World Championship? That is what he was brought in to do. In that sense, last year was a failure and this season is a fiasco. Injuries are not the only reason this team is not even a .500 club...that is simplistic.

  9. Today is a must win game. It’s really that simple. Win today or blow this shit up. Let’s see what these guys are made of coming off an embarrassing performance yesterday. If they have any heart, they come out and beat the fuck of these Orioles. Also, we better get Sosa in the starting lineup. My pitchfork will be ready & waiting for that lineup card to be released.

  10. I was at Winston game again tonight. Colas had a great game, 4-5 with a double. Clearly he is not long for that level. Mieses only 1-5 but he hit the ball hard several times. Still, Montgomery was the most impressive guy. 2 hard hit singles including a screamer to left with the bases juiced. He looks good in the field as well. Ramos sat. Thompson looked better than his final line suggests

  11. Someone unexpected. Conduct a dozen professional businesslike interviews with diversity, narrow it down to 3 people, give them second interviews. See what they all think of this team, its players, what went wrong this year, and how they would fix it. Pick the answer that you think best fits your observations and your plans for the future, and who gets along with the philosophy of whoever is conducting the interview. This is a multi million dollar contract you are negotiating, act like it.

  13. I'm in my 50s and been watching the Sox since I was 7. I have a 20 game ticket plan and usually attend 15-20 games a year. I've been around. This past offseason took the wind out of my sails. The lockout, then making no moves to improve upon obvious team weaknesses. Hahn's insufferable BS has gotten to me. Apathy is setting in. I spend most games on my phone not paying attention. I tune in sporadically if I'm bored and really care very little. My games include, shitty opening day, the Indians debacle, Yankees ass kicking, cease getting destroyed, Thursday night. They are not fun to watch in any capacity. It really is a sad state of affairs.

  14. Was at the game.... and I'll say absolutely amazing to get 1 hit by a bullpen game from the orioles. Approach and focus on a daily basis is nonexistant. This team plays such dumb baseball. La russa has undoubtedly taken the hands off these are big leaguers approach. This team lacks basic fundamental consistency on offense and defense. Discipline starts at the top, it's the one thing a coach can instill and promote; effort and discipline.

  15. Sometimes when you win, you really lose. And sometimes when you lose, you really win. And sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs

  17. If we get swept at home by Baltimore in the 2022 “championship” season managed by a hall of fame manager, it’s the low point of the last 12 years.

  29. Amazing a White Sox announcer taunting fans for bailing on an underperforming team. And making changes is one thing all fan bases call for when the team is failing. Only losing organizations refuse to change when what they are doing isn’t working.

  31. Ha ha. From not playing to hitting lead off. WTF? Naturally, Sosa can’t play instead of Leury, he has to supplement “the Franchise.” Anyway, I hope the kid can get his first hit before they send him back down. #firemenechinotandlarussa

  32. The roster is grossly top heavy. The team is setup to have the stars carry them and too many of them are either hurt or severely underperformimg so they're relying on far too many bad players to not be bad. Just look at the top 12 players in WAR on Baseball Reference. No Eloy, Moncada, Grandal, Pollock, Giolito or Lynn. Instead you have Johnny Cueto, Adam Engel, Kendall Graveman, Reese McGuire and Reynaldo Lopez (good lord). There were plenty of moves to be made to improve the roster but instead Hahn decided to sit on his hands and wait for the stars to return and save the day. Meanwhile the days keep getting crossed off and the losses keep piling up.

  33. Strange-Gordon was released on the 19th. See the part where I said he was a free agent? That means he’s a free agent. Meaning he’s a free agent. He was originally designated for assignment on the 14th. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/teams/WAS/washington-nationals/transactions/

  34. The Yankees are the team to watch if you want to watch wins. The Sox , even without the injuries, are well short on the talent needed to compete against the top tier teams. Many on this forum lauded the signing of Grandal and the trade that brought Moncada. Those players are inconsequential at this point. Our starting pitching is spotty and the bullpen is a joke. The Sox may become sellers by the trade deadline. Then tank it and bring up Colas., Colson Montgomery, etc and at least make losing an interesting pastime.

  35. I ended up watching most of the Yankee - Astro's game last night. And I have to say the talent divide and performance level between those two teams and the Sox is really, really wide. Both teams are constructed so well. Defense, pitching, hitting, they both have it all covered. They play hard they play smart and they hate to lose. They are everything we thought the Sox were rebuilding to be and have turned out not to be. The recipe for building a winning organization is not a secret but for whatever reason very few teams can follow it. I put all the blame on JR and RH. You can definitely blame TLR as well but a competent owner would never have hired him in the first place. So as much as we all keep yelling for TLR to be fired until JR and RH are gone as well nothing is going to change with this team.

  36. That recent hot streak was basically all singles pounded into the ground or blooped the other way that started getting around the defense. It was the part of the season where the bad gambling bets actually turn into wins for a little while so you decide to keep gambling longer before you lose your entire house.

  37. Apathy is far worse than anger from us fans, and we are about there with no signs of backing up

  38. For those of you that stuck with the team through a long rebuild just to see this product....tough shit. How come the Phillies and Angels thought it was quite practical to replace their manager? People are pissed and should be Stone. FUCK OFF.

  39. What I don’t understand is the manager doesn’t think he’s good enough to start over Leury, doesn’t think he’s good enough to pinch hit against a lefty for Sheets, but 15 hours later he’s a leadoff man. I wish Stone would read this. It’s fucked up, and we don’t need the Stone Blessing for Baseball Genius to see it. Any idiot could.

  40. Is La Russa actually insane? Like I’m super happy Sosa is playing but why does he need to hit lead off? I thought Tony said he was trying to take pressure off the kid like two days ago?
