Was watching the end of the game last night as I was leaving my fiance's parents house. Yaz is awful behind the plate.5 points

What I love about Fire Tony is that he’s always trying to win tomorrow’s game. We’re like 15 or 20 over .500 in winning tomorrow’s game today b4 points

It feels like we’ve been watching the same game the last 2 weeks4 points

Moncada is the least of this team's worries. Lol. I love how he's "killing them" while the Sox have two DHs playing outfield, and a fucking AAA player at second base. Not to mention the offensive black hole at catcher(who is also one of the worst fucking defensive catchers in the MLB). What the fuck are we even talking about? Address the MASSIVE holes on this roster and then maybe we can b**** about Moncada.4 points

The rebuilding teams were so much more entertaining than this crap. It was more fun watching Matt Davidson come in to pitch and throw the hammer. That is just f#$@ing wrong in so many ways.3 points

We are in a pennant race and we need to go all out. Relievers had to be up starting the 6 th. Need to protect the lead in this game. TLR is too formulaic, he has relievers assigned to innings. And don’t want to deviate. Diekmann had to come in for the lefty batters. No urgency.3 points

Of course the Sox can't take advantage of an outfielder forgetting how many outs there are3 points

1-2-3 first inning without a ball leaving the infield. Every game seemingly starts the exact same way.3 points

Yeah I’m not a fan of this list. Lenyn Sosa is pretty much being undersold by everyone.3 points

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/08/tigers-fire-general-manager-al-avila.html Weird how other organizations make changes when they dont get results...3 points

It has to do with Bubic splits against lefties. Lefties have an OPS of 1.094 against Bubic, Righties at .698 It's backwards against the norm, but just the way it is. He's been getting torched by lefties .352ba, .460 OBP. Hence, Sheets. Now, to me? You DH him3 points

Tony's got Vaughn and Sheets so messed up they may never recover. Consider Vaughn a natural 1B who only played 52 minor league games before getting called up to to the majors only to find there's no position for him to play so he has to learn how to play the outfield and just for grins lets try him at 3B and 2B. Vaughn is too slow to play the outfield and get's exposed time and time again. Tony must have it in his mind that Vaughn is the new up and coming Leury. The Sox don't develop players, they un-develop them.3 points

Playing Sheets against a LHP, which hurts the defense, is ridiculous3 points

yes, joe borchard failed 20 years ago and that's why you shouldn't bring up players from the minor leagues.3 points

holy smokes, didn't see that. Yeah, I'd still take wes kath 100 times out of 100 over jason friggen bilous.3 points

People call me crazy but I firmly believe that this team would be farther along if Rick Renteria were still the manager.3 points

I heard a recent John Mozeliak interview where he stated that the Cardinals never think in terms of a 'competitive window'. I doubt the Yankees, Dodgers, Rays or other well run organizations have that mentality. Mozeliak said the Cardinals approach every decision with a 'win-now' perspective and deliberately populate their roster with players who can be counted on to provide leadership in addition to on-field performance. Its no accident guys like Molina, Goldshmidt and Arenado dot the infield as well as provide mentorship and guidance to the Cardinals philosophy and culture. I'd love to remove the expression 'competitive window' from the lexicon of expressions describing WS fortunes. It implies we have no right to expect the sustained excellence as other well run organizations.3 points

This season has made me a bigger fan of baseball than the Sox, but I just can’t quit this shitty org...2 points

Believe me, every executive in baseball is laughing at the Hahn, Tony and Menechino trio2 points

Bringing in Diekman now instead of in the 6th is hilarious2 points

It was more important for Tony to continue Cueto's quality game streak (pitching 6 innings) TLR =?2 points

It just doesn’t matter anymore. If Cease isn’t pitching, they’re not worth watching anymore.2 points

Yet Frank keeps his job and Hahn sits on his hands at the deadline2 points

Burger needs to be in the lineup against LHP. Considering Yoan has no power at all against LHP, it’s just too weak of a lineup.2 points

Both the Sox and Yoan need a change of scenery after this season2 points

This team does basically everything wrong. Who would have thought bad personnel decisions with the lineup would hurt.2 points

Just have Yoan bunt in those situations. Insane he keeps taking fastballs down the plate for strike 3.2 points

What a sweet turn from Harrison & Sosa. I never want to see Leury play SS again.2 points

It’s be nice if (insert name here) had an approach at the plate.2 points

If Tony is able to figure out reverse splits, then how come he plays Leury all the time against RHP? Mysteries that will forever go unsolved.2 points
-
This roster is just not that good no matter who plays where anymore.2 points

Would you consider it helpful both to the 2022 White Sox and for Carlos' individual development to promote him to split duties with Zavala and IL Grandal until he is healthy enough to be effective both catching and hitting? I really think they should play Sosa 4-6 games a week with Tim out. Colas may be able to help them now, if so would love if they option Sheets and let Colas play RF 4-6 games a week. Think he can handle it with his Cuban/Japanese experience. Also think Hahn and Jerry want to manipulate his clock either for 2023 or even 2024, despite allegedly being in "win now" mode. That said, if Tony is not going to play any of these guys regularly in deference to his beloved shitty performing veterans, than leave them down, because it makes no sense for them to be promoted to watch players who should be reserves (Leury) or in AAA/traded (DH Sheets) or released or be last OF on bench (Pollock/Engel).2 points

Had to celebrate the HR by Sosa. Hopefully a few more to come this season with Tim on the shelf.2 points

I wouldn't get your hopes up ... Bubic has returned quality starts in 4 straight. Those came against Boston, Yankees, Rays and Toronto. The 5th start beyond that was 5.2ip, 3er ... so basically 5 QS in a row. He does struggle against lefties ... but we don't have lefties. Since June and 12 starts his ERA is much closer to the upper 3's. Finally, Yoan, Eloy and Robert are a combined 0-31 against Bubic and Abreu is 2-16. Thats 3-37 from the middle of your lineup. This has the makings of another 3-2, or 2-3 type final.2 points

Honestly I respect Leury more. He was clearly hurt and wanted to keep playing. I wish Vaughn and Robert would b**** to TLR about playing time like Abreu and Leury do2 points

I mean it really could be a slump, but when TA turns into Leury for a month, there is probably something wrong.2 points

I've never faulted Leury for his effort and desire. It's too bad he gets misused by Tony.2 points

Sports aren't life and death. As bad as the team is and as frustrating it is to follow them, it's a break from all things going on in America and in the world that could get me banned if I mention them. So what if we don't completely give up on the team. It's OK to monitor your favorite team since childhood and see what the final tally of this season's ineptitude will be in terms of Ws and Ls. In other words don't feel sorry for us. We are not dumb in terms of thinking they'll make the playoffs, we just like sports.2 points
