These are trash posts and don't deserve to be shared. If they really didn't want Gio, they could just non-tender him.7 points

Is he a nerd because he has glasses or because he’s not a former player ie not a jock? Which 1980’s stereotype are you applying?6 points
-
If you don’t care for his delivery that’s fine but the “has never fielded a ball in his life” s%*# is stupid6 points

Your feelings are hurt that Jason isn't an athlete, but it is everyone else who has the problem. Sure man.5 points
-
For the record.....I'll alway's be thankful to Ozzie for making the 2005 Chicago White Sox World Champions in my lifetime before the Cub's won in 2016.5 points
-
Sure. Let’s make fun of the guy with a disability.5 points
-
Totally agree. This is the absolute lamest excuse for not liking an announcer. The ability to observe is no where near related to their physical abilities, or in Jason's case, his disabilities. The man is a more talented at what he does than 99.99% of people who played baseball for a living.5 points

Jason is one of the best around and I don’t give a s%*# that he never played. The gimmicks on the Sox broadcasts have grown stale and I wish they would change it up, but I don’t put that on Jason. He’s fantastic on national games too and if the Sox gave us consistent quality play I have no doubt the quality of the broadcast would jump equally.5 points

I am of the opinion that most (if not all) teams were cheating.. They just got caught.4 points

Dude retweeted the Bartolo tweet about trading Gio. Color me skeptical.4 points

By hiring Willie Harris, JR would get to keep Daryl Boston and most of his gang. This would be a typical Sox move and IMO set them back years. I would just prefer someone with no connection what so ever with the Sox. That may limit their choices, but it's what this team needs. Then again I could be totally wrong on Willie, mainly because this team had swag before a certain manager was forced on the team and if they could recapture that this team could be dangerous. If Willie brings swag, it could set this team on fire. Not sure they would be able to play good defense, but they'd be fun to watch.3 points

I'm pretty sure Jason would call himself a nerd, he has a CP campaign called "Awkward Moments." Some of you guys are actively looking to be offended by innocuous comments on this board.3 points

Ozzie seems to have matured a bit, but he walked out with a year on his contract, and then was so bad Loria paid him 3 years not to manage. He's great on the the pre and post. Let him stay there, because who knows what all that attention would do to him. Plus the baggage of Oney. No need for him to return.3 points
-
I don't get this logic at all. In order to get a pitcher with the upside of Gio, you're paying way more than $1/10-11M. It continues to make zero sense. Not to mention it just creates 2 holes in the rotation instead of 1. If the Sox trade Gio, I have little doubt they'll regret it in short order.3 points

Yeah no.....hard pass. Save the swag until you win something. Until then put your head down and run.2 points

That report was from Nightengale and was already shot down by some insiders.2 points

Vinnie Duber is a great listen and likable dude, but he’s but he’s just guessing.2 points

I may be getting old but I have to turn up the TV whenever he's on. One reason is to hear his insight which is usually spot on and the main reason is because I can't understand half of what he's saying.2 points

Does MLB hate money? How haven't they given Ozzie his own national show? Charles Barkley and Inside the NBA except MLB and Ozzie and Frank. Would print money.2 points

Any and all, if Jason Benetti isn't a nerd, then nobody is.2 points

It still cannot possibly be worse than last time. A terrible hire is still a massive upgrade.2 points

I'm half expecting Hahn to be about ready to announce Espada as manager and then out of the blue we hear someone like Thome is the next manager. That would be the White Sox way.2 points

An ex that dumped you for someone else, immediately got dumped, then came crawling back begging for a 2nd chance. And you’re just damaged and dysfunctional to consider it.2 points

I loved tuning in to the Harry and Jimmy show. Truly the greatest duo to ever grace a booth. It would have been wonderful to hear more stuff from them, but there was always a baseball game going on that they had to discuss. Them. Was. The. Days.2 points

a plus 3B defensively is worth a lot more than a plus 2B. Not to mention if you look at the White Sox organization, we have potential at 2b, We don't have a thing at 3B for at least years, if ever. Yoan is the best 3B we have had in a long time.2 points

Let's hope Ozzie isn't coming back. Yes, it is really time to move on.2 points

My tickets (20 game plan) in Section 160 increased by 7%. Based on the product they fielded this year, I wouldnt have renewed even if they decreased 7%. Only benefit of having ST at this point is playoff access and we all know how that goes. Call me when we're under new ownership.2 points

I really love this idea! I was never a fan of him moving from 2B to 3B. He should have been forced to work harder at improving his weaknesses at 2B, instead of moving him to 3B and accepting his failures at 2B. We traded one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2016 for Moncada who was the #1 2B prospect. The only reason he cant play 2B right now is he is too big and slow. He needs to lose some weight and work on increasing his flexibility and quickness which he has never worked on improving. There is no reason Moncada can't play 2B if he loses some weight, and works at it hard in the offseason to master 2B. Btw, your comment about whether or not he will be able to handle hard coaching. The fact is, if he can't handle a hard coaching approach, then even more reason to move on and trade him. I pray we get a manager next year who is going to have tough love, demand hard work and effort and make them work on their fundamentals and defense. This what the Sox were missing the last several years and so desperately need in a manager going forward.2 points

DJ is horrendous, Beckham may actually be worse. I couldn't watch lol2 points

DJ and Beckham in the booth, Ron Washington in the dugout, and the same team on the field is a perfect storm of awful that would totally turn me off as a fan next year.2 points

I can’t see any of Jerry, KW, or Hahn wanting Maddon. To me, if Hahn is making the call the hire will be Espada, if KW is making the call it will be Washington, and if Jerry is making the call it will be Shildt.2 points

I kinda want them to bring in a good 3B and make moncada compete for 2B. I don’t know if hard coaching will be good for him but I’d rather we find out. This was part of the Gleybar thing. Bring him in and tell him he’s the 3b lol2 points

I wrote about the Instructional League roster for FutureSox: https://soxmachine.com/general/2022-chicago-white-sox-instructional-league-preview/ This is much more interesting than the players the organization sent to the AFL1 point

I definitely thought they had enough time to run the ball especially towards the sideline.1 point

They will move on fast because he is not the answer and they did not draft him.1 point
-
Yep, he has no feel for the position. Will be very interesting to see how committed this regime is to him after this season.1 point

Oh we already all saw that report a few days ago/end of last week. Wasn't that a Nightengale article? It's already been said to be untrue I believe.1 point

Most of us feel this way. It's a shame Ozzie is his own worst enemy. Between his ego and his kids...enough is enough.1 point
-
If it's Ozzie, I don't completely hate it as long as his idiot kids are no where near the team in any capacity.1 point
