We WISH we were only committed to just $3M for Leury, which again reinforces how much of a steal this is at just $3M. I wouldn't have loved bringing back Andrus for the $10M or so I honestly thought he would have gotten with a starting SS gig, but $3M to be our 2B with his secondary benefit being a legitimate backup plan for TA? This is great.

The Sox cannot afford to play Sheets in the OF. The OF was slow and couldn't throw anyone out. Colas alone had 11 assists in the minors last year and 7 in Birmingham in only 32 games in RF ! With the shift gone a lot more hits are going to get through to RF and you need Colas out there with his strong and accurate arm. Last year teams ran wild on the Sox OF especially the Guardians.

At only $3M this is an absolute steal. The guy was literally our best position player during the time he was in our team. He put up a 2.0 fWAR in only 43 games, which is absurd. Even if he can just do that same production spread out over a full season, it will be the first White Sox 2B to reach 2 WAR since Iguchi in 2005.

LOVE this move for only 3 million, as I’ve been saying all off-season. And we also now have a backup plan at SS in case TA gets hurt. This is a fantastic move.

You've probably heard or seen some of the trailers for this over the past year or so. Now the release dates have been announced for the three part documentary "Last Comiskey" profiling the "Doin' the Little Things" team that won 94 games shocking the baseball world and the final year of Comiskey Park in 1990. Parts will be released on You Tube starting on March 2, with the other parts to follow on March 9 and 16. Many of the players and front office agreed to be interviewed for the documentary as well as fans, media members and Nancy Faust (who provided the music!) Matt Flesch and his people worked for over two years on this which started as a project during COVID isolation. I provided a lot of the highlight video from out of my library. Fans also provided still photos and home movies. Looking forward to watching this...from what little I've seen Matt and his people did a very professional job.

What else should they have spent that $3M on during Spring Training? Or should they have not spent anymore at all? Also you said he's going to be a below average hitter out of the #9 hole..... The average #9 hitter last season hit .226 with a 81 wRC+. Andrus only one time in his career (29 games in 2020) ever hit below .226, and is a career .270 hitter with career 86 wRC+. For a #9 hitter, he will be just fine, and that is ignoring all the positives he brings on the bases, on defense, and in the clubhouse. This isn't an exciting move, but it's a pretty easily a positive one.

Putting Liam on the 60 until he wraps up his treatments seems like the least they could do for him. Let him return at his own speed, if they make him take more time so what? His health needs to be the priority over baseball.

In regard to the 2B battle, Rick Hahn just said Zach Remillard “has sort of been forcing the issue for a few years” and that we should see what he has in camp. Fire this guy right now. Just a complete fucking joke of a GM.

There isn’t much good to talk about, Mike. They are literally in the middle of a controversy because their newly signed pitcher has an accusation of domestic violence and Child abuse. They also did only one thing this entire offseason after they were the most mediocre unrealized potential team in the league, they signed that pitcher. so please, let me know when there is some good stuff to talk about. I didn’t see him bringing a baby to spring training and holding it while talking about traumatic events. Also don’t recall him contradicting himself within a matter of minutes during an interview about this stuff. Also it seems to be lost that I’m not attempting to paint Clevenger as some innocent saint… I’ve said often that it isn’t black or white. Seems most likely to me that she’s embellishing things and Clevenger is a douchebag. The only unequivocal thing about this situation is it should have easily been avoided if our front office was competent… we all can agree about that. ?

If anything Remillard could've/should've been the INF called up last year to ride the pine when they needed a body instead of burning an option on Sosa.

The arguments being used to undercut her claims could very well be applied to the man under scrutiny here, yet they aren’t. There is more of his past behavior in public record outside of these accusations than hers, yet he’s presumed innocent and she is dismissed. Funny why that is.

"Holmes and Bernstein are Sox bashers. Not one word escapes their lips that is not negative. " They have always bashed the Sox and always will, like some internet trolls do. Their purpose is to take the joy out of being a Sox fan and turn positive energy and enjoyment of the game into negativity and sarcasm. It's easy to be a wise guy and they are pros at that game.

Me neither the ghost runner rule is to try to preserve the health of all players and make the season less of a grind. In hockey the OT is 3 on 3 in a 5 minute period. In the post season they go back to 5 on 5 and a 20 minute period. Once you make it to the post season in both sports it's who can prove they are the best despite exhaustion and fatigue so talent plus stamina has more of a chance to win out.

Hoping people view and like these videos I posted. There's more podcasts on youtube like the CHGO podcasts and Locked on White Sox. As a Sox fan I like seeing Sox related podcasts succeed, the more than merrier. The CHGO Sox podcasts are usually longer and at least 5 minutes worth of product plugs but Vinnie Duber is the resident expert on it so most of the time it's worthwhile. Pinwheels and Ivy as you might ascertain by its name, deals with White Sox and Cubs stuff.

Andrew Benintendi, one of the most bland and good but no where near exciting players in the big leagues, is a reason to be optimistic? Yup. Sounds like a summary to me.
