You're being overly generous. The Rosenthal Rangers package is hot garbage.6 points

As mentioned, Preller and Cashman are in self preservation mode. Cashman has to blink (I hope)5 points

The Rangers don't have multiple top 100 guys. Outside of Carter and Langford it's just Walcott. The package mentioned by Rosenthal is super underwhelming.5 points

Do you actually believe someone at risk of losing their job would just sit by and do nothing? How does that make any sense to you?5 points

How it would impact the performance of the Sox is the last thing that should matter4 points

Lost in the Cease drama tonight was Nastrini pitching 3 scoreless with 7 Ks. Not bad.4 points

The Cole injury concerns seem to have set off a flurry of rumors/activity. I see no rational reason why Getz would lower his ask now given that Cease has looked stellar in spring training. The demand seems to be there.4 points

He's definitely not on the opening day roster. Capt obvious...............4 points

Footlong Comiskey Assface tweeted that the Rangers are involved, but I hate that account so I'm not going to post a link.4 points

I’d prefer Arias over Jones. There is easily a packed without Jones they could figure out.4 points

It’s like Poles likes the general idea of having cap space but not actually using it. Does anyone know if there’s a real time cap space tracker anywhere? Curious how much they have left because 2 yrs for Hunter, even at $24M per, is not crazy. (specifically the 2 yr part)3 points

McGuffey is not as baseball clueless as Chuck but he’s still pretty clueless if you listen to him on their podcast. He was on the Puig for RF hype train along with Chuck. They are both old school meatball fans, but at least they have the balls to rip the Sox a bit unlike most of the ass-kissing Chicago sports media guys.3 points

I'm really hoping Cease got scratched tonight, most just because it might indicate a trade, but if they are deep into discussions with anyone the Sox should take all precautions and protect their asset. If he pitches tonight then that would indicate to me that nothing is close.3 points

Nope. They needed Cease or Snell before an injury. Cashman needs to make the playoffs or he's fired. They're clearly going all in (hence the Soto move)3 points

I know spring results aren't supposed to be indicative of regular season results but...you have to take some of it into consideration. I mean, they are 1-8 in the last 9 games. The team has to at least feel like what it means to win. I have a feeling this team will barely win 50 games. It will truly be a historically awful season.3 points

All I know is this exact same group was running through walls, playing hard, and winning games when Ricky was here. A change was made and then started a slow, but consistently picking up speed, fall off until at some point everything just collapsed. Pick your poison as to how or why. Honestly it really doesn't matter. The well was poisoned and the tree died.3 points

Right. Which is why the entire team, including himself, all regressed randomly at the exact time, despite having been just fine for years. Makes total sense.3 points

TA definitely had a part in creating the toxic atmosphere. I'm glad he found a home, and I hope he has a nice season. But I am glad he's not playing for the Sox. I too have hope for the future. This year may be rough, but I think we'll see a more cohesive team with much less drama, laziness, and (bad) attitude. So many Sox fans love to spend their days looking in the review mirror, huffing and puffing, and shaking their heads in a "I told you so" manner every time a former Sox player hits a home run or strikes out a batter. I don't care about former Sox players when they're playing for the Marlins or the Braves or whoever. Out of sight, out of mind. I'm concerned about the current team...and bitching about their performance.3 points

Tim Anderson WAS the toxic situation. His being gone (along with Fat Lynn and Grandal) is my main reason for hope this year and going forward.3 points

Because if there’s any job in the world where you’re expected to have success and be evaluated based on that success…it’s GM of the White Sox?3 points

Chuck works with and loves, Ozzie. Ozzie thinks and knows Pedro is a clown and probably tells Chuck that every night. This quote is ridiculous. If you have to do something, do it. Don't say you have to do it to a reporter. He's a joke, and everyone knows it except the White Sox front office.3 points

Mark an X on the day TLR was announced and connect all of the dots until we reach last year’s catastrophe. Placing the blame or the majority of it at TA is certainly curious. Not saying he’s blameless, but the toxicity is bigger than one player’s terrible year personally and professionally.2 points

I am starting to think there is a sector of Bears fans that are dumber than cub fans. What exactly was Poles going to do with Fields? People want to blame Getsy (I did). He got another job. So now we look at Fields. It appears that potentially nobody wants him. If that is the case, the Bears should not want him either. tht is wht is happening. That is not Poles fault. In actuality it worked out perfectly. They get a better QB than what was out there last year. Yes Stroud appears to be better than thought but they were not taking him at #1. Maybe Poles turned down a 3rd round or even a 2, we don't know. What appears to have happened is that all of football sees that Fields is a great athlete but maybe not an NFL QB and not one they are investing heavily in.2 points

We actually do have enough warm bodies in the rotation that trying him in the bullpen mid year is an option.2 points

Loosely translated it means "I am sooooooo f'ing over my head in this job I'm just making s%*# up to sound remotely competent. Clearly, I've failed with this quote, I'll do better next time".2 points

They should have replaced him on base with Maldonado. Remind him what actually being on base is like.2 points
