Honestly if they don't trust Colas in the field just bring him up and make him the DH. He seems to be making strides at the plate and IDGAF anymore about Pedro's beef with him. I'm done with Eloy getting throat contusions from eating too cold ice cream at little kids birthday parties or whatever the f*** the issue is now.9 points

I don't care whether Eloy has another AB with this team. Don't care.9 points

Lololol I literally just read the new propaganda piece from Merkin with the headline "With warrior mentality, Eloy pushes forward" then cruised over here to find out he just hit the IL. Somebody put this clown show franchise in a body bag already.8 points

Wheeler didn't come here because his wife preferred Philly. Machado and Harper didn't come here because we gave Machado a mickey mouse offer disguised as a competitive offer and I don't even think they offered Harper. They could have absolutely gotten one of Harper or Machado if they were serious.7 points

Still pissed we traded him. Loved his story, that he was from the STL area, and he was an easy guy to root for that smashes baseballs. Will never forgive Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams for this!6 points

22 years old and we just let him go for nothing. Guy hit 21 home runs and stole 31 bases last year and we just give him away.6 points

You must not go to any games based on your comments. Eloy and Vaughn stretch their hamstrings before games on the field (and for Eloy, between at-bats as well). Both of them also use rubber band stretch rings around their ankles prior to games to exercise their legs. You think Eloy is a moron? I think about the same of those (not including you) who post nothing but negative nasty trash on this message board. Eloy is a special talent and because of his size, he is susceptible to injury. So is Aaron Judge https://www.foxsports.com/mlb/aaron-judge-player-injuries It's easy for some to hate others, especially those who don't necessarily look like them. Eloy is a great player and one of the nicer players I have ever met. He will mash this year once the weather warms up, like he did in ST.6 points

Phew! It’s a good thing JR promoted Getz due to his familiarity with the organization. Imagine where we’d be if we had to wait another full season for a new hire to learn the organization.5 points

No, they'll play a man down for a week first5 points

This is absolute rock bottom for this franchise. How can anybody give a s%*# at this point.5 points

Benintendi is absolutely my least favorite player ever. His contract and performance represent EVERYTHING wrong with this organization.5 points

This Wilson cat is nails. Everyone hated his inclusion on the Cease deal but he could end up adding a couple more prospects to the fold this summer.5 points

So here’s my take at this point. Maldonado was a wasted signing. He’s worthless on both sides of the field. Should have let him retire and then hire him as a coach if that’s why you wanted him. Benentendi is no longer good and should not be hitting lead-off. It’s a repeat of last year when they kept hitting TA first even though he sucked. Stop playing these guys based on some historical stats and start playing them based on how they’re performing now.5 points

I genuinely love threads like this where the reaction from everyone is a variation of “who fucking cares”.5 points

Hmmm. I’d rather just throw Speas in the pen and see what we have than retain Leone/Shaw.5 points

You knew it was doomed when they wouldn't add any star power to obvious holes and with a cheap, young core. Just went all in on the guys here. Their payroll was so low in 2019 and with limited markets for the two big fish, they should have whipped their balls out on the table and signed both.5 points

I think its two things. 1. Hiring Tony LaRussa to manage to club when it was time to take the next step in the rebuild. 2. Missing out on Zach Wheeler and failing to even get serious with Bryce Harper or Manny Machado. Zach Wheeler has been great, Harper has won an MVP and put up 18.7 bWAR over this timreframe and Machado has put up 20.35 points

This is a trash move. Trash. They have a bunch of hasbeens that are old with no upside and you drop a 22 year old who has at least flashed at times. Good grief.4 points

Unreal, but totally predictable. I hate this organization so damn much.4 points

Our replay guy was probably “watching outfield positioning”. In all seriousness, Grifol is the worst manager I’ve ever seen.4 points

They were talking about this on the post-game the day it happened. Posednik was saying how when Thome was DH he was never sitting in the dugout. Always walking around. Always stretching. You have to stay loose. Especially as a DH. I think Eloy is a moron, doesn't realize any of this, and his injuries, at this point, are entirely on him. I never see him stretching, and with his injury history, he should have a daily hot yoga session setup. It's absurd for a professional "athlete" to have this many soft tissue injuries. Flexibility is absolutely something you can work on, if you want to.4 points

Everything was going fine until Tony punished his own player for hitting a home run4 points

Not getting at least one of Machado or Harper while you had a cheap young core locked up and had clear holes on the roster. Then, instead using the money on the likes of Yasmani Grandal and those types.4 points

Sox have been outscored 32-12 so far. Hop on the train, Pedro isn't waiting for you.4 points

I think it’s that he has no position, doesn’t get on base particularly well, doesn’t have a body that ages well, and has been injury prone. I think trading Burger was a perfectly fine thing to do when your team needed to improve on defense and get away from RH free swingers. You can argue the return, but the jury is still very much out on Eder. I get Burger was an easy guy to root for him. I like(d) him too. But worst trade in franchise history? My lord, what a take!3 points
