I'm not gonna lie, I'd love to see a 1-20 start by this team. I really want to see how K-Mart Mr. Clean and Getz answer to something that catastrophic.10 points

Over-under on how many Sox players get injured from the total eclipse.7 points

This guy may be the biggest clown in baseball history. Like no one gave a f*** if he spent 15 seconds looking at the eclipse, but the dude is such a tool that he needed to claim he didn’t have the time because he needed to watch video in preparation for the game tonight. And then after all that, he actually goes out and looks at the god damn eclipse. This dude would literally say anything to help convince the world he is not completely incompetent.6 points

To me this just means that Mookie Betts would also be 1-8 on the season if he was playing the Sox schedule. Not impressed.6 points

Either way, the no offense, improved defense was a terrible idea.4 points

I’m quoting myself to shame all of you. this is hilarious and you should be ashamed of yourself for not recognizing it via upvote bullshit. im also pretty drunk so cut me some slack here.4 points

I admit, I've not watched a single pitch this season, not worth supporting this debacle at the moment. But...I just wanted to go look at stats, and.....you're telling me this team has 7 HRs and 15 RBIs TOTAL, through almost 10 games??? No one should be at the stadium, watching this effort by an indifferent front office.4 points

Say what you will, but these are mistakes Benetti would never make in a thousand years.4 points

Thee ridiculousness of the teams stance that they are not awful just going through a streak all teams go through is hilarious.4 points

I always hated when people pulled this performative BS at work. You're not being less productive, or focused to walk outside and look up in the air for 10 seconds.4 points

By the time of that next solar eclipse in 2044 this Sox rebuild might finally be finished.4 points

We aren’t overreacting to anything at FutureSox. Actually, we have guard rails in place to make sure that we don’t. Where’s your top 30 list?4 points

The good news? We are already roughly 1/16 of the way through this fuckery.3 points

What I wanted was for him to properly develop these "studs" the last 5 years as he oversaw the farm and he not only didn't but was promoted for his (s%*#) effort, so yeah, he's a bum3 points

Am i the only one that wants us to continue this historically bad stretch just to see the FO and Grifol squirm? Like id take a 20-140 season to see it happen3 points

Glad Chris Getz shored up team defense up the middle.3 points

The pitching might actually be league average this year. The offense will be historically bad.3 points

So the veterans Getz brought in this offseason are 9 for 73 at the plate with 6 walks3 points

Send Vaughn down to AAA. His swing is so bad now. Also, the Grossman/Pillar combo has been a disaster.3 points

Absolute hanger and Vaughn pops it up. He's seen so many fucking hittable pitches. This is not a case of getting aced repeatedly.3 points

Follow-up factoid related to the White Sox team having scored 16 runs as a team... Mookie Betts has also scored 16 runs thus far this season.3 points

Is there a better example for how stupid the anti-tanking attempts are than the 2024 chicago white sox? Sure, you could say they shouldn't have traded Cease and Bummer et al and have an even further, more painful recovery from this. But the White Sox gave a bunch of veterans jobs and are playing them over marginal prospects. It has made...zero fucking difference. There are so many painful parts of living under a Reinsdorf fandom, but it is extremely bad that he is so willing to accept CBA rules that severely hinder his team, and his team the most. He'll side with the smaller owners to limit spending on the bigger teams and undercut labor...and also side with them to restrict the team building opportunities on big market teams that could also undercut labor. Being forced to watch 110+ games but not being allowed to be in the running for Holliday because we could, in theory but not reality, have spent money on good players the last 5 years instead of $100 million in bullpen arms is just so brutal. It did nothing to improve the quality of the league but is going to make it likely we are bad for 30 years.3 points

The problem is that none of Getz’s acquisitions were good hitters to begin with. Salvy definitely would’ve been an improvement over Maldonado, but this lineup was banking on a healthy Eloy and Robert hitting and Vaughn finally improving along with Benintendi perhaps earning his money. Well, the s%*# has hit the fan on everything. I still think this lineup when healthy is still every bit as bad as a lot of other posters thought during the offseason and Spring Training. The injuries have now made it historically bad.3 points

Since 2013, our beloved Chicago White Sox have had exactly one full season where the team was above .500--2021. I'm not counting the pandemic year as a real season, none of us were able to enjoy it in person anyway. Let that soak in. 10 years. 2024 will be 11. One. Fucking. Season. And our competition is Detroit, Cleveland, Minnesota and Kansas City. Gag me. So utterly pathetic. I'm going to list the record below so we can all be reminded of how disgusting this organization has been run: 2013: 63-99 2014: 73-89 2015: 76-86 2016: 78-84 2017: 67-95 2018: 62-100 2019: 72-89 2020: 35-25 2021: 93-69 2022: 81-81 2023: 61-101 And 2024 we are starting at 1-9. Probably will be the worst season out of that list. Reinsdorf, it's time to hang it up. You are well past your prime.3 points

Following Renteria and LaRussa, you'd think Reinsdorf and his minions had learned their lesson, especially with heavyweights like Bochy, Maddon and Mattingly (I think) still available. But nooooo! They went to the then worst organization in baseball--Kansas City--for a replacement. And adding insult to injury they make Getz the GM--another Royals management flunky. So now with have a roster with an average age of "60" and we are quickly heading to the worst record in the league! HELP!!!2 points
-
It is simple. They aren’t... The pitching will probably not hold up, and regress. Especially once Crochet hits a wall. And there's just no hope for the offense at all. It's the worst lineup I have ever seen.2 points
