They're going to embarrass themselves whether you want them to or not, so might as well enjoy the ride.10 points

Your Cubs fan obsession is disturbing and ridiculous. Cubs fans aren’t the reason this White Sox team is historically bad. Jerry Reinsdorf is the reason. At least place your hate on the correct target. This franchise is already diminished due to its owner and is the laughingstock of baseball.9 points

Hey asshole: I wrote my thesis on Minnie Minoso, watch the Dash every time they come to Brooklyn, bought my dad artwork of Aparicio, own jerseys and hat for three of their minor league teams in addition to the Sox swag that makes up my wardrobe and I'll be dead before I root for the team that failed my grandfather before he died (my mom's side was Cubs fans, she converted). Despite all that, I want the owner who's stomped on my fandom, his lackey GM and braindead manager to get their just desserts. But you go back to pissing on what could be the best thing for the Sox in decades in the form of a new stadium because you've got some vendetta against dirt.7 points

For some reason Rodriguez didn't play for us to start the year but almost immediately started playing for the Phillies organization. So far this year in AA; 6/21 (.286), .423 OBP, .899 OPS, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 SB Glad we gave him up to keep Shaw on the roster for an extra week7 points

Im finding myself wanting the Sox to lose in embarrassing fashion day in and day out. I would be even happier if they break some records along the way. Worst record is still on the table, the shutout record, worst OPS record, etc.. I consider myself a diehard fan, but what kind of fan wants their team to fail miserably? We can only draft 10th next year so why am i feeling this way? I dont quite know what to think anymore. does anyone else feel this way?6 points

The good news....if you bet $100 on Sheets getting an rbi today, you've won $185. The bad news....if you are betting on the White Sox at all, get some help....1-800-GAMBLER6 points

I you are a cub fan go ahead. Nothing positive comes from losing...nothing. You break the spirit of the players and the fans and diminish the franchise in every way imaginable. That is why I don't trust or respect the opinions of those who relish in WSox losses.6 points

Pedro should pull a Costanza and do the opposite of every instinct he has. Because he's wrong every. Single. Time.6 points

This team is one of the worse offensive teams ever assembled in MLB. Shame on KW/Hahn/Getz,/JR.6 points

He looked the part in ST. I honestly think the only reason he was even sent down is to get an extra year of control.5 points

When apathy and the weight of losing piles on, it can absolutely get worse. Coaches that say things like "eventually it's going to have to turn around" are coaches that have ZERO answers.5 points

I've watched probably 5x as much Cubs Baseball than White Sox Baseball, which still isn't a ton given how much I've actually seen of the Sox...but it doesn't make you a better "fan" to suffer through watching a 2-13 team when there is another team in town that actually competes in the sport they play in. It just makes you the fool.5 points

I continue to watch and cheer them on, but part of me does want us to lose 120+ games and force Jerry to realize he has destroyed this franchise with his incompetence as owner.5 points

I think my larger concern now is that we seem to be jettisoning players. I’m not asking you to add anything, getzy, just stop subtracting prospects!5 points

It’s amazing what happens when you sign a bunch of guys who showed clear signs they couldn’t hit major league pitching anymore4 points

Meanwhile, the other team in town picks up a 1B who the Dodgers had no room for and he is absolutely tearing it up.4 points

Gonzalez has his OPS up to .848. Now outhitting everyone on the Dash and also everyone’s favorite draft prospect that the Sox passed on, Enrique Bradfield.4 points

Stop trying to shame people, especially after your meltdowns on the stadium situation.4 points

I agree. JR has run this team into the ground. The spirit of the fans is already broken. He stopped caring a long time ago if he ever cared in the first place. I don't relish losses; I just don't expect wins. I've been a fan for so long, and I have never the franchise in this bad a shape. JR should be the one embarrassed, but he isn't.4 points

This is my reminder that, unlike his approach to trading Cease, Getz blew his load on adding guys like DeJong and Maldonado3 points

They couldn’t go a full day without embarrassing themselves for over three years now and they still don’t get it. f*** ’em. Rooting for them to lose is all that is left besides waiting for the old dick head to pass.3 points

I've been a fan for 63 seasons now. I hope they set the all-time record for worst single season in the modern era. Ownership and the front office deserve nothing less then complete utter scorn and derision.3 points

Three more errors today...defense right? ? Like I posted a few days ago, guys have got to be thinking, "Get me the hell out of this garbage dump!" Another two weeks and you'll start seeing these guys not even trying anymore.3 points

Everyone in their right mind should be hoping for a worst record in history finish. f*** this team.3 points

most smart teams call the pitches from the dugout. the catcher is meaningless that's why teams want framing and offense, not "vet leadership" or "handling a staff". The Sox are an antiquated team in every way.3 points

I highly doubt that the guy who was in charge of player development, and developed noone, is the guy capable of building a future organization deep enough to stay competitive in spite of injuries. I hope I'm wrong.3 points

Adding players now is challenging. The big question is should have added different players during the offseason. Personally, I believe they knew this team would be garbage no matter what given there few prospects ready to contribute. As such, they needed to acquire some cheap placeholders to buy some time with a goal of not being historically bad in the interim. I think the real flaw is Getz assumed that by fixing the defense there would be enough of a floor to not lose more than 100 games. The problem is that most of his additions are legit awful hitters, which put significant pressure on three dudes with injury histories and two dudes coming off mediocre seasons. And unfortunately, those injury plagued guys all got injured (some bad luck there) and the two Andrew’s continue to not be good. The remaining group may be the worst set of offensive players ever assembled in baseball history. I said for the last few months that Getz’s offseason plan of all defense and no offense would be a fascinating experiment, and so far, it’s blown up in his face. I fully expected to lose 100 games and would not have penalized Getz for that given the shitshow that was the front office tandem before him, but under no circumstance should being the worst team in baseball history be allowed. And that’s a very possible outcome and one Getz should be accountable if it happens as he’s the one who has acquired the bulk of the retreads & misfits that we are giving playing time3 points

I have no idea what you’re referring to here. That being said, not sure why my political affiliations matter when it comes to Jerry Reinsdorf wanting his children to sell the team when he dies. But if you really want to know, I’m a liberal who hates Trump. Hope that helps confirm if I easily fall for Con jobs or not.3 points

I think they should have mercy on us and propose an underground stadium. Tunnels around the city so we can walk in peace to the games without fear of being identified as the sickos we are. Never to see the light of day. Protect the innocent.2 points

Except our defense which was what Getz tried to make so great is ranked 22nd in fielding percentage. So we got crappy hitters who can't field either this year. Yay White Sox.2 points

Getz couldn’t cut him for Popeye, but he can now cut numerous guys that don’t matter for nothing. Getz has been the absolutely worst roster manager of all time.2 points
