Hey there's no reason for this. I pointed it out because I was surprised to find they were still pacing that poorly. I wasn't trying to be a negative nancy.6 points

It’s funny how the pro-Benetti media people are the ones attacking Schriffen. His call of the walk off was better than anything Benetti ever did here.5 points

He's fine, and will be better when the team is. His biggest problem isn't anything he is doing, it is fucking terrible baseball plus a terrible partner who doesn't do his own job.4 points

Was it fun though? I personally don’t get any enjoyment watching a bunch of losers who 80% of won’t even be here next year win some meaningless games. There silver lining is they can’t screw up their draft position, but I want this thing to go nuclear to force radical changes. That’s where the real win will come from.3 points

It's someone with a YouTube channel putting a 10 minute version of literally everything that has already been said negatively about the Sox and a new park since it came out that Jerry was looking for a new park. I guess it is more compelling because it is on YouTube instead of print form or something. Nothing like a video where someone states over and over again that they are "concerned", over the "facts", but you it is "up to you to decide" what you think from their one sided video. But be sure to subscribe so you can be concerned over more facts you can decide about in the future. I can sum it up quickly so no one has to watch. -The White Sox suck. -People aren't going to White Sox games. -New Comiskey was outdated when it opened and in a bad neighborhood. -Jerry wants a new stadium. -Jerry is asking for a lot of public money. -Public reps aren't thrilled with the request. Enjoy the rest of the 10 minutes I just saved you.3 points

Yep, not sure why anyone wants to see Reinsdorf escape the embarrassment of a historic losing record after sabotaging the initial rebuild with TLR and refusing to go all in on free agency (Machado/Harper) and then giving Getz the nepotism hire, saying they are a few moves away from being competitive, and then having Getz cut payroll by around $55 million. Let him wear it. He’s earned it.2 points

Forgive me but I'm very upset. Grifol is a stooge. My gosh. So you go 3-0 with Pham and it's obvious Pham and Mendick are two guys who actually are worthy of a spot on the big league roster. So he rests Pham cause he had no spring training. Are you serious Grifol??? Your team has a chance to start winning some games and go from historically bad to just bad and you REST PHAM?? After three fricking games? That's what they said on the radio. He was rested tonight cause he had no spring training, You'd think Grifol would want to ride the hot bat and win a fourth in a row against a Minnie team that embarrased the Sox in Minnie. Instead they bench Pham and let him pinch hit once. This resting of players in the big leagues is a fricking joke. Thanks Pedro. You are a buffoon. I bet he was so proud of himself making sure to rest Pham after three games. Just resign. Three games and he's tired??? Gawd I'm angry.2 points

Will never understand why Eloy isn’t right on top of the plate. Those pitches were on the outer half, and his plate coverage made it impossible to hit. He’s really cutting off his swing.2 points

Still more of a thrower than a pitcher, and his arsenal is still limited in terms of variety...just can't pitch from behind at 96-98 fastballs without locating them well.2 points

If only Benetti would have enrolled in those Victorian dining etiquette classes as Boyer suggested. He might still be here…2 points

Thank you sir. I didn’t have the time or energy to put together this response. I guess anytime anyone says anything even remotely positive about Sox players this season it gets jumped on and spun negatively. It’s tiresome.2 points

If that were the case, they should invent the intentional strikeout. Give hitters a chance to just walk away with their dignity.2 points

Say fellas, keep an eye on Eric Adler. He used to be in the top 30 before we traded everybody for prospects. Seems to be finding his control as he climbs the systems ladder. If he does he'll be up sooner than later. Heater in the upper 90's.2 points

Private companies receive all sorts of government support to relocate or even stay in a town. Economic development agencies compete for "growth". Once we started down that path it was inevitable that the wealthy and powerful would find another way to take from the workers and give to themselves. But forgive student loans or anything directly to workers and whoa, that's socialism and unfair.2 points

I just don’t want Pedro to be the guy teaching the young guys on this team how to be major leaguers. I totally recognize that this team could be managed by prime Bobby Cox and still lose 100, but Pedro honestly does not add any sort of value to this team.2 points

Once the new guy has a chance to know and understand the history of this franchise and the passion the fans have he won't be calling anybody out given the incompetence, dysfunction and ineptness from ownership to the front office.1 point

No, it's embarrassing. These are the big leagues. The Sox have six wins. You don't scream this south side stand up when the team is this bad. It's minor league, that's all. I didn't like him calling out the 'haters' after Saturday's win either. Anybody have a copy of today's final out call? I don't watch games anymore so I need to find his yelling on the highlights.1 point

Schriff is absolutely adorable and anyone who hates on him can suck a boner. /hottake1 point

It's not that difficult. Add some guys who belong on a big league field and you'll win a few games even if the team is horsebleep. Before Pham and Mendick and the recent moves we had zero reason to be interested. Now it appears we're getting close to being just one of many bad teams in the league not historically bad.1 point

You guys really missed the context of that. He was referring to his own call there.1 point

I’ll go with 1983. 7 Starters in their first 8 picks. It’s too bad they didn’t pick Marino instead of Gault, but they had McMahon in his 2nd year. Covert, Gault, Mike Richardson, Duerson, Thayer, Dent, Bortz all major contributors for years. 2 HOF.1 point

None of them have any trade value past maybe a flier for Fedde. Crochet probably will for the long term but he's not going to hold any value for this year because he's going to have to be shut down.1 point
