It is pretty hilarious that a bunch of dudes who sit and judge other people for hours as a job, are so sensitive to someone judging them for a couple of seconds.7 points

I understand why this thread exists, but to trade possibly the most naturally talented player in team history because they failed so miserably at the rebuild is so, so painful.6 points

Whoda thunk Shane Riordan would be who united Sox fans behind Scriffen. But the score has been trash for a while and Riordan has always been a worthless clown.6 points

Look. To a large extent sports radio is just a gossip column for guys. If you are going to sit and talk s%*# about people for a living, you can't catch feelings when someone needles you back. It's fragile and lame.6 points

lol some clowns here actually thought the sox were going to make a run at 81 wins. Like they actually said that. First time with baseball? Reality is this is a 100+ loss team, same reality we've had since opening day.5 points

What do you pay a guy who is constantly on the IL?5 points

Best we can do is a 27-year-old from the PCL and a reliever.4 points

All it took was Tommy Pham, Danny Mendick and Bryan Ramos not hitting like the worst team of all time for Greg to go from "horrendous" to "Getz magic"4 points

Riordan has a history of popping off at the mouth. Serious radio and Internet muscles on that guy. https://awfulannouncing.com/radio/shane-riordan-670-the-score-dan-proft.html I think it’s funny that he thinks the Chicago audience cares about him or Schriffen. ?4 points

Their top 10 appears to be all position players too, which we need badly.4 points

I'm old enough to remember when a DH that hit 240 with 20 HR and 70 RBI was pretty much a scrub. Which is what Eloy is.3 points

Well, to be fair, "the dishing" started by Score against this guy before he even called his first game. They were up in arms about the hire because their boy Benetti had gotten canned and also because their prior reject host Connor McKnight was passed up for the job in favor of John. Why would would I (John) go on their airwaves knowing they don't like him from day 1?3 points

I have no idea how we went from Nastrini making the OD roster to getting two starts and then being replaced by Brad fucking Keller. The saddest part of this season is we haven’t developed a single positional or rotation piece who can be part of the long term future. It’s going to be a long rebuild with Getz in charge.3 points

Keller is throwing 90-91 mph right down the plate to the best players in the world3 points

Schriffen calling this ump one of the worst in baseball bumps John up a few notches in my book. I love a guy who is not afraid to call an umpire trash.3 points

This Yankee lineup is gonna mash a pitcher with a limited arsenal like Keller.3 points

Congrats on shutting down one of the worst offenses of all time. Orange slices all around in the Spankees dugout. Ball washing media can f*** off.2 points

He is calling this ump the worst in the league. And he is probably right but we dealt with Joe Wests dumb ass because he didn’t like Ozzie criticizing him and I would rather not piss off another guy who can affect the outcome2 points

I remember watching the Field of Dreams gane thinking this team was going to be fun for years. Little did I know it would all be over a little more than a month later.2 points

Taking a called 3rd strike with the bases loaded is par for the Sox course.2 points

Watching this team defend, it's absolutely hilarious to know that was their focus over the offseason. What a colossal failure.2 points

Riordan thinks he’s the greatest radio producer of all time because he brings in some “notable” guests on the show. It’s usually some B-level actor like Michael Rapaport. ? The irony is that most of the sports radio personalities all worked the very same radio producer job before they made it on air. It’s not even a very high paying job, but they have to work their way up doing it to get on air. I think The Score’s management knows that no one wants to hear Riordan with his own show because he’s such a dbag and that’s why he’s still toiling away as a producer. The truth is that the majority of posters on this site know more about the Sox and baseball than clowns like Parkins, Spiegel, and Riordan.2 points

Meh. I can easily look at turning down an interview with the score as an integrity move....in that they're trash is beneath him.2 points

Chicago sports media has been a joke basically my entire life.2 points

Exactly. Riordan likes to dish it but can’t take it. Many people are telling him that he and The Score are as soft as Charmin.2 points

It would take 3 of their top 7, including Emerson or Young, and Montes. Maybe some young pitcher as well.2 points

I don’t follow racing, but looks like the guy got into NASCAR in 2007 and has 3 wins. Seems like the perfect guy for the Sox.2 points

Apparently I missed this post, so I’m going to just say a week later: what a useless comment, why don’t you write something smarter. Nobody can even tell what point you’re trying to make except to be condescending and dismissive. So why don’t you try making a point, brainiac.2 points
