Somehow this got through security last night and was shown. Although after about :30 seconds it was confiscated:10 points

Counterpoint: I think Kopech is emotionally fragile, a bad starter and a worse reliever.8 points

Sox are 20 out. Remember Jerry owed it to the fans to hire Getz to ensure a quick fix4 points

You know your team is bad when the opposition users a pitcher with a 5.50 era and no saves on the season as their closer against you4 points

Keener had a good start 5.2 2H 0R 0ER 3bb 9K. Sox have tremendous pitching depth. What a difference a couple of years makes.3 points

Schultz AA debut: 4 IP,1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K. 28 strikes on 40 pitches FILTHY Iriarte now in.3 points

When he throws 100+, he can’t control it. When he throws 96 it gets hit. And he’s a flake. I admit I still care enough to be mad about today’s flop.3 points

If one wants to try to understand the likelihood of hamstring injury recurrence after hamstring surgery or hamstring injury I suggest reading RECURRENT HAMSTRING INJURY: CONSIDERATION FOLLOWING OPERATIVE AND NON‐OPERATIVE MANAGEMENT Knowing that it seems unlikely that Eloy will be ever able to have an extended period of playing time without re-injury and he may have a hard time getting another large contract with any team. The fact is though that this condition is not his fault.3 points

That's pretty impressive, I'm surprised Vaughn made contact that many times with a man on base.3 points

Well, he should start thinking about it, cuz there’s no way Jerry is approving his $16.5 million dollar team option, even if Getz wanted to bring him back. Enjoy your $3 million dollar buyout, ILoy.3 points

Eloy is a bad baseball player who can’t stay healthy. No contender is going to trade for him in hopes of improving his chances.2 points

Iriarte finishes the game with 5IP, 3H, 1ER, 2BB, 5K. Barons win 7-1. Gonzo 2-5 with a double and 2RBI. Elko 1-4 with a HR and 3K. Veras 3-5 with a double. Ellis stole a pair of bases after a single. His 30 SBs are second in the minors.2 points

Perhaps he should get in better shape then. Yoga perhaps? Either way, it’s his body and it most definitely is on him. These excuses are so damn weak.2 points

Orioles rotation already dinged up. They really needed to add two starters after shedding Gibson/Flaherty and with the general uncertainty after Barnes with all the injuries and comebacks.2 points
-
For the most part. Eloy and Moncada gone would have been moves top organizations made years ago because they always have a pipeline built in the minors, and resources to import more talent, and it’s no sweat. Not even a thought. The Sox? Nobody is convinced their scouting and resources are on point, or on a glide path to lasting change. Ownership has not been committed to seeing to it.2 points

I'd have @Harold's Leg Lift explain it to you, but I'm afraid neither you nor I would be able to understand the explanation from the absolute baseball genius that is @Harold's Leg Lift. It would be so far above our heads. Don't let his .282 OPS fool you. He's truly a great player!1 point

Another crazy ending for Sox second nite in a row. Pham with the deep drive. Was anybody on base? I saw the highlight but not if anybody was on base on the great catch in cf. Guys, Pham is the real deal this season. He can help a contender, folks. I don't wanna lose him but if the Cubs or Royals or somebody needs some pop they'd be smart to inquire about Pham, the most tasty treat on the South Side since Spam on white bread. Is Flexen a bum? I'm starting to not like him much. Lee is looking like an MLB player still. And Julks nice game. Lip Man deserves credit for telling us the Sox would lose most every game this stretch.1 point

If an appeal was somehow granted the entire game wouldn't be replayed, it would resume at the spot of the incorrect call. And it wouldn't matter, the Sox would lose the game anyway.1 point

Eh. He was okay. Walked the lead off hitter. Induced a double play on a very hard hit ball to Gonzalez which Baldwin turned very well. Then a single and a groundout to Elko. Nothing impressive, but not horrible. The Barons are super solid defensively, so that helps all their pitchers.1 point

Despite not making the most of their chances, Barons chased Misiorowski (Brewers #1/MLB #23) early after 4.1IP, 2ER, 8H, 3BB, 3K. It's the most hits he's allowed this season. Thorpe went 6IP, 1ER, 3H, 1BB, 4K. The run was a solo shot. His ERA stays at 1.50, his record improves to 7-1. Gonzo goes 2-5 with a double and 2 RBI. Baldwin 2-4 with a BB. Quero 0-3 but 2 BB including one with the bases loaded to force in a run. Turner has been off to a slow start, but he was 3-5 with a 2B today. This was Gonzo's first professional start at 2B. He looked comfortable, made all the routine plays and started off a pair of 4-6-3's. Barons win 7-2.1 point

That was worst of all. It's one thing to be terrible at your job, it's another thing to get totally fucked over by the fascist umpire and say "please sir may I have another". I guess that's a nice departure from his typical post-game comments where he impersonates the world's worst motivational speaker.1 point

It’s more just pathetic how Pedro folded1 point

As I said, if that is "interference" then you coach your guys to just run into any base-runner, even if they are on the base, during any infield fly. Literally no downside. At least we got fucked by a bad call in a year it won't matter at all. Hard to even get too upset given our team is so awful.1 point

I'm convinced Maldonado's main role is for PR purposes. By taking playing time away from Lee, he's making the fanbase fall more in love with Lee. That way, when Lee is finally the starter, he's got the full fanbase behind him. That's all I can think of, anyways.1 point

100% agree. Again, a bad Lance Lynn returned a top 150 prospect and a very interesting relief prospect last year. Fedde will be a significantly more attractive asset and the return will illustrate that.1 point
