It's hilarious to see Harold become a complete Getz shill. Defending every terrible move he makes.4 points

Isn't this just due to Eloy coming back? Colas will be back when Pham is traded.3 points

Agreed. Why find out what we have in the younger kids, when we can probably go find an aging has been FA? Maybe we can ask David Wright or Adrian Beltre to come out of retirement, to really push this roster into overdrive!3 points

Idiots. Again and again. Just cut him. Move on. They're more afraid what he will do with another organization to make them look bad.3 points

The command of Thorpe so far has been very concerning.3 points

I guess that is why you should not put too much emphasis on someone's 2nd major league start ever. Drew was great in his 1st outing and great today. Young pitching is something to be excited about for our Sox.3 points

Can totally see that. That's fine, just stay healthy for a few years and be a solid 4th starter. That's all we ask. Nice to see Vaughn and Lee hitting today, if we have any hope of competing in the next few years those guys need to turn into solid regulars.3 points

I wonder if without an overwhelming fastball and spotty command, Thorpe's gonna be a long time MLB arm but he's gonna have his games where he gets shelled and some where he looks great, especially against bad hitting teams. Not the worst way to make a career.3 points

I hope the people here who wrote off Thorpe already are doing okay.3 points

Where are @greg775 and that other weird poster who thought the Sox could finish the the remainder of the year .500 after beating the Astros on Tuesday?3 points

Colas should go down because he's not getting everyday ABs, which he needs and deserves. Our dumbass manager insists on playing Benintendi still and Pham will play until he is traded. Is what it is at this point.2 points

It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t post every infrequent time that a starting pitcher has a good start when Oldy Moldy starts at catcher and has one of his rare 1-hit games. Harold is either the biggest Getz homer ever or he is Getz himself. Harold defended this awful signing of a rotting corpse from the start by Getz, so he can’t back down now. It’s quite embarrassing and I don’t think he realizes that he’s creating absolutely ZERO credibility for himself by continuing to defend Getz signing this corpse of a once good catcher.2 points

Haha, the Getz lover (or Getz himself) trying to justify this. Nonsensical. Period.2 points

It's funny we went from hiring Getz to save a year, yet here we are refusing to do any development or evaluations.2 points

I disagree on the bullpen. You add a couple solid high leverage arms and that bullpen looks much different. Kopech has been awful this year so there’s no stability on the back end.2 points

They need 7 position players and an entire bullpen.2 points

^and this is why I say things can turn much more quickly than anyone thinks even in the Sox darkest moments of this season. I know the offense sucks but the young pitching could surprise an awful lot of people that don’t think the Sox will be competitive again until 2030.2 points

Managing is a lot easier when you have a stacked roster full of cheaters.2 points

Pedro is here until the end of the season. He will be the fall guy for Jerry and Getz. The next hire will of course be someone cheap internally and with ties to the Sox.2 points

I think this is the most SP depth we've had in a long time coming up through the system. I still wish we can stop the Crochet trade nonesense and invest in him to anchor this future rotation.2 points
-
Probably why he's been moved a couple of times. We have the ability to give him ample opportunity. If that fastball ever gains a few ticks (I'm skeptical as that body looks pretty muscled out) or the command gets better (way more possible) he can thrive.2 points
-
Thorpe dominated. Nice bounce back after the rough last start. Dare I say the Sox starting rotation looks above average right now? Refreshing.2 points

I’m writing off a 26 year old outfielder with a career .661 OPS in the minor leagues yes2 points

Mason Adams with a strong start. Only one hit and one walk. 6 innings of shutout ball. 6 strike outs. Nastrini also pitched 6 scoreless. He did walk 5, but he struck out 10.2 points

Must defend a shitty team… AT.ALL.COSTS. The only thing more ridiculous and amusing is the NO SHUTOUT STREAK COUNTER!!! Nevermind that amazing run differential that the Sox have.2 points

The idea that the Sox players are too stupid to know when to go full out or ease up is probably the most valid one you have made in a while.2 points

Jac isn't my first choice, but I will root like hell for the kid if he's picked. You can certainly dream on the bat.2 points

1 run games by an MLB offense are so much better than a shutout. Who cares about a -159 run differential? As long as you don’t get shut out!!!1 point

Fire Jason Bourgeois. Dejong won't sell him out, but I'd bet the house Bourgeois lost track of the outs.1 point

how the f*** do you find yourself on this message board, in 2024, and still call the guy roberts? I'm legit thinking it must be almost impossible. Anyways, Sox about to lose again and get back on pace for 125 losses. HISTORY!1 point
