For that O’s package, I would drive Garrett to Baltimore.4 points

He has an option for 25, so you don't HAVE to trade him, but if you get a Graveman type offer, put him on the train to ORD.3 points

Took X rays of Sheets WAR it was negative.3 points

Soroka in his last four appearances has struck out 16 in 8.2 IP with a 1.04 ERA and .484 OPS against, though. He did actually look pretty damn good against the Dodgers3 points

The Sox got a collection of lottery tickets in return for Bummer.3 points

One of the things I love about baseball is that a lot of times, wins and losses don't matter. It's an individual/team sport. There are always opportunities to enjoy the game, even if your team is trash. I don't care if the Sox win or lose. I want to see Crochet, Thorpe, Vaughn, Robert etc play well. That's all that matters right now.2 points

Also for the record, I don't know anything about him. I just thought it was funny they brought up how he was hired, especially with our recent hiring history.2 points

Yea, same takeaway I got from most our guys when I was sitting 20 feet away. It's not a team full of assholes, it's just a team full of horrific MLB players.2 points

Also known as equipoise. Still a popular steroid for human use. Will shrink your balls faster than a Sox half inning of offense.2 points

And while I get the Sox looking at bats, I think we are going to all look back at the 2024 draft and Hagen Smith, the same way we look back on the 2014 draft and Carlos Rodon, wondering how he wasn't the top pick. The dude is just a beast.2 points

Yeah, there were at least 3 guys in that deal that were likely going to be non-tendered the next day if not traded (Soroka, Shewmake, Nicky).2 points

It's stark. First 11 games at A .140/.229/.279/.508 28k 48 PA Since .385/.448/.577/1.025 9 k 29 PA Kid did the same thing in ACL. He apparently needs a minute to get comfortable.2 points

That's a much simpler and elegant way to put it than my word vomit.2 points

I think a shorter way to look at it is in baseball there are fewer movements and fewer skillful opportunities necessary to be successful. If any of those are diminished your value drops precipitously.2 points

Do you not see a difference between playing in a Stanley Cup game, and a meaningless baseball game in June for a team 40 games under .500?2 points

So, because there has been a poster on here who figured it out months ago, and I confirmed.....that keeps making comments about me, I thought I'd clear the air. I am, in fact, Parkman. Made a life change in 2022 that has improved my quality of life significantly. Parkman is ok, I've been here the whole time. I was trying to keep this quiet but some people figured it out. This is who I am now, I'd appreciate if people are respectful of me. Happy Pride to any who celebrate Thanks, Aly1 point

The Sox are 2-1 in the 2nd half, opposed to 0-3 in the first. An improvement, sure.1 point

Some team is going to turn Michael Kopech into a stud. I will not be mad at the White Sox if that happens. It just doesn't fit here but he has all the tools.1 point

What’s it called if they win two of these game things in a row? I’m scared.1 point

Eloy could easily lose 10 lbs and be a different player. He's the most frustrating player on this squad.1 point

This is beg revisionism. Brady Aiken had massive steam spring and was touted as Kershaw-lite. Then the Astros tried to lower their agreed to deal with him. They ended up being right on medicals, but don't agree in principle to a deal then lop off 40%. Marlins fell in love Kolek's giant fastball. Rodon had a down year compared to his sophomore year, so compared to ascending high schoolers, other teams wanted new shinys.1 point

The injury that Montgomery had. Its just possible that he isn't the same. I don't know if Montgomery is a speedster but given he's a corner OF I assume not1 point

Good for you to make what had to be a really tough decision to feel some inner peace. And be who you really are. I don't know who that poster is so I don't miss him, but the timing of this post is interesting. My brother, at the tender age of 40, has just become my sister. I'm mostly just bummed out this decision wasn't arrived at, like, 20 years ago, like she's just been living this lie her whole life. I don't think friends and family or work would've cared in this case, but who knows what goes on inside people's minds. Clearly I didn't, I just thought he couldn't get a girlfriend. Has to be a weight lifted off though. Your post feels like some sort of divine intervention to call her and visit and be more supportive.1 point
