I’m think Sizemore should be the guy because the Sox need a Lefty, high obp, middle of the order guy with a high batting average5 points

I used to average over 60 games a year, and most of the time, they weren't very good. I went to 1 this season. The Sunday game in Milwaukee. They lost a lead late, just like usual. It was their 11 loss in a row. I'm not directly giving the White Sox any more of my money until I see they have a plan, and are actually trying to make it better.4 points

Montoyo. Not that he deserves it, just make him take the ship down to the seabed. The year is lost and there’s no reason to saddle a real potential manager with this lost cause.4 points

If this Luke Keaschall offer is true, we have the worst and dumbest GM in baseball.3 points

Chris Getz is in over his head with this job. He f***king sucks, but I'm not shocked. Jerry wanted him and he f***ing sucks too3 points

I disagree here. For the first few years he was here, I just thought he was young, immature and unlucky. When that carries over into 5-6 years, you start to look at a guy differently. He was the face of the franchise’s future—and that goes both ways. He had the talent, but in the end—his immaturity took over. He and Eloy were the source of the hope but also the face of so many failures—including the most damaging…they contributed mightily to the destruction of the White Sox culture. Their poor work ethic, bad attitudes and immaturity combined with a newfound love of ritz and money and they both worked a system that allowed them to do absolutely nothing and still cash massive checks—all while avoiding the catastrophe of associating with a disastrous on-field product. They were content living it up with their lives in their rehab facilities rather than being with the team. That absolutely burried an already weak franchise who was counting on them—and PAYING them to play. I think they deserve the crap they get. I’m glad Eloy is gone and I can’t wait to see Moncada get cut off from his free ride with us. There are players with better talent who actually want to play baseball who work for those paychecks—let’s focus more on them.3 points

fWAR, WAR, ZWAR, ABC, XYZ et al doesn't mean squat when you are always on the injured list. From the people I spoke with all connected to the organization in various way for my November 2022 story: “The problem is some of these guys just don’t care, they want to win sure but they already have gotten their money with these contracts before they proved anything. Moncada would strike out and just walk back to the dugout like no big deal, he fouls a ball off and now he can’t play for three days? His contract makes him untradable but he needs to go.”3 points

Benetti is intertwining random ass phrases into the broadcast seamlessly while Schriffen..... well don't get me started.3 points

Gotta get it to 23. Nobody likes you when you’re 23. It just fits too perfectly for this team. It would also tie the longest record.3 points

Enough. We sent 3 MLB players and got back (2) 19'ish year-olds and a AAAA who has 3 MLB years, 400 ABs, and a .658 OPS. We're f***ed Our GM is an idiot. Our Owner doesn't care about winning, just profit. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET IT????? We ARE the worst team in baseball. EVER. Just...STFU. It's not trades, it's not coaches, its not even GMs. IT"S THE OWNERSHIP. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME UNTIL THIS CHANGES.3 points

Eloy is in fact... lazy. Doesn't matter if they rushed him back or not, he never puts in the damn work to stay on the field.2 points

Gotta love how Moncada stayed worthless to the end. Couldn’t even stay healthy or get healthy by the trade deadline so the Sox could get a minor league scrub for him or at least dump some of his salary like with Eloy. Fucking bum…2 points

At this point, you hope Nastrini isn’t 100 pct. Easily the most disappointing of the pitching prospects this year.2 points

So Getz passed on the Twins #5 prospect and MLB’s #92 prospect Luke Keaschall, who is likely moving up the charts with the way he is hitting. He can also play 2B and CF, while Vargas can’t play any position and is 3 years older than Keaschall. Getz passed on this kid for Vargas because he didn’t want Fedde in the division for next season when the Sox will be terrible yet again? Taking away Keaschall from the Twins long-term and giving them Fedde for one season would have been a great trade-off. Good god, Getz is fucking horrible.2 points

Lol, there is no way Sox went from Walker Jenkins, Brooks Lee & Emmanuel Rodriguez to Miguel Vargas. I could definitely have seen them asking for 1 of them, though. Maybe that is what Dan is saying, but its not really how it reads.2 points

West Burg got hurt after acquiring ILoy DFA ILoy now. He brought the curse to your team . Then again Holliday hit a grannie so temporary reprieve.2 points

Always hiring from within on high-level/FO/decision-making roles can easily cause secret rooting for failure to permeate throughout an organization. “If we don’t make this work, I’m next up to be in charge,” has a much different effect than “if we don’t make this work, I might be gone too.”2 points

MLB, at least until after the World Series. After that, I can't imagine the Sox, nor Cleveland being willing to make a deal like that with each other. Past that, the Sox would need more guys that just Bazzana to make a deal in theory with anyone else.2 points

Reinsdorf doesn’t have to sell, you know. He could just relinquish being the majority partner. Let someone else run the team. Maybe Mellody Hobson. She’s smart enough to fire Getz, conduct a real search, and then let the professionals do their jobs. I think she already owns more of this team than Reinsdorf anyway.2 points

I want to see mlb force Reinsdorf to sell for the best interests of baseball.2 points

So, because there has been a poster on here who figured it out months ago, and I confirmed.....that keeps making comments about me, I thought I'd clear the air. I am, in fact, Parkman. Made a life change in 2022 that has improved my quality of life significantly. Parkman is ok, I've been here the whole time. I was trying to keep this quiet but some people figured it out. This is who I am now, I'd appreciate if people are respectful of me. Happy Pride to any who celebrate Thanks, Aly1 point

its an F for me, D if Crochet gets extended in the offseason (he wont). I am really down on Vargas, according to Futuresox his EV numbers were awful in the minors so I don't think thats going to translate well to the bigs. His defense is also bad. The other 19 year olds in the trade who knows, but how likely is it to hit the jackpot there? I have this sick feeling that TLR is more involved than he should be.1 point

I voted for Montoyo mainly because I don't want to see a guy like Sizemore or Santos be tainted by this team. Those guys have the real chance of being managers some day. Let Montoyo steer this sinking, floundering mess the rest of the way.1 point

Grifol for manager of the season! It is not often a manager has a record breaking season that surpasses all others in history.1 point

Sizemore gets my vote. I’d also be fine with any of Butera, Santos or Jirschele. Say no to Montoyo.1 point

The majority of that WAR for Moncada was earned years ago. In the last 3 seasons, he has been worth a total of 2.2 fWAR. That’s because he hits the IR with a mosquito bite these days.1 point

Between Jerry’s lack of desire to spend a lot of money on starting pitchers and Crochet somewhat burning a bridge with Getz and the Sox by opening his mouth, I think it’s almost certain the Sox are going to trade him in the offseason.1 point

Like I said, the punishment of staying with the White Sox fits the crime.1 point

Idk how you could give this anything more than an F after Fedde/Kopech deal1 point

To steal a line from shameless: F. F? As in fail? F as in fucked! I'm all for using holding the big pieces if the right offer wasn't there, but I'm not confident in Getz being the right person to extract maximum surplus value out of the few sparse assets we have. I think you need to start putting way more value on bats come draft day. It's clear there is a premium on controllable bats and we are seriously deficient without having a believable path to at least being mediocre on the offensive side.1 point

The White Sox deserve Pedro, and he deserves the White Sox.1 point
