Appreciate everyone's patience this morning. As I mentioned - we are now migrated onto a new server. The next step will be the upgrade of the software which will happen in a couple of days and will be another 4-8 hour outage. In the case of the new server - I will note that some of you may be able to access the site on your home computer or laptop but not from your phone (or vice versa). This is because everyone's internet provider is different at refreshing the DNS. If you want to accelerate - clear out the cookies and that might help. Otherwise everyone should be seeing the new server in next 24-48 hours (most should be much sooner). New server is significantly faster. Upgrade will not be significant in terms of forum software change - but should help with reliability, security, and overall run time. Appreciate everyone's patience.4 points

Any chance you can also put in for an upgrade of Jerry and/or the White Sox? TIA4 points

Your schtick of misunderstanding the situation purposefully has been going on since the dawn of this board, good team or bad. This board has patiently explained rebuilding to you many different ways and you keep your blinders on and act like you don’t hear it. It’s fine nobody cares anymore3 points

A plus fielder and no hit is way better than the no hit, no field guys we have been running out to RF forever.2 points

Is this a veiled shot at Pedro?: “We didn’t play good baseball. Not at all, and I don’t believe in the ‘flush it’ thing. You use that as a competitive edge.”--New coach Doug Sisson (talking about all the mistakes made by the Sox in their loss Saturday night)1 point

You know the answer to this. The Sox have one of the worst owners in the MLB (probably THE worst), who won’t spend much money in free agency (largest contract is 5/$75M), and who promotes all of his most loyal and trusted employees to positions that they are not qualified for. He also won’t spend much money in the international market and pays more people to sell tickets than to perform scouting.1 point

They would lose in arb then. He pretty much to be non tendered, because then they can negotiate a lot more.1 point

I don't understand the point of Nick Senzel, so I am with you that far.1 point

It was just a formality that's been around since winter. And anyone with eyes saw it coming.1 point

Thank goodness I was a little sad this afternoon.....a world without Soxtalk is a world without Joy.1 point

That’s sad. Maybe all of them will be busts and the Sox pick will reign supreme?1 point

Balta has seemingly given up on being upset and has reached acceptance phase.1 point

He is still not a good hitter. But Pedro was also "trying to win" or some s%*#. I just treated him harshly in regards to his defense. But, to be fair, he was often playing center between statues.1 point

Until he can hit, he’s nothing more than a 4th OF, which is still an upgrade over Sheets.1 point

It's absolutely AMAZING that he couldn't get any playing time. This organization is dogshit.1 point

No matter who you are, the first thing you should learn as an adult is the Rule of 72. It works for interest rates and for rates of return, and is absolutely vital for your life's savings.1 point

Explaining why you were gone isn’t speaking for you. I would never speak for you! I don’t know what it’s like living in that fantasy!1 point

The Monday night dbacks game had to be moved to a Thursday due to a hurricane impacting NYY/AZ series in New York. Sox made it $1 tickets and free parking as an impromptu fan appreciation day. my season tix in the uppers became free seats in the premium lower level and I got an account credit for the original game.1 point

Pretty easy not being interested in baseball at all, honestly.1 point

It isn't serious. Just hanging back. Thanks for acknowledging. There's not a lot of news beyond roster moves to get into inane, thread killing back-and-forths over.1 point

That would definitely be the best move for his career. Just look at the past 10+ years of Sox managers. The Sox are their last stop in the MLB.1 point

Robots might be calling balls and strikes, but the umps don't want you to forget them. First this: Which was relatively minor...but then in the next inning, Nastrini gets quickly ejected from the game for arguing a safe call on a SB. I personally thought the runner was out, but also Nastrini didn't do anything especially demonstrative that made it obvious why he'd get kicked so quickly?1 point

Bottom line is Grifol was a horrible manager of a horrible baseball team put together by a horrible GM who answers to a horrible owner.1 point

On one hand Sox fans think their players are lazy and only care about image (Moncada, Eloy, Robert), and then it's the manager's fault for being too hard on them. I think there's a certain part of the fan base who just masturbates to anything negative because they think it makes them edgy.1 point

Very strange acquisition. Getz passed on acquiring younger and better players in Bart and Robles but signs Senzel? Why?0 points

I’m pretty sure he mentioned he had cancer. It wasn’t caulfield because I never read any of his incoherent nonsense so I wouldn’t have confused that.0 points
