I’m for firing Getz because he might be the worst evaluator of talent ever.7 points
-
My season is over with an anus spur caused by White Sox baseball.5 points

Every single hitter in the Mets lineup is currently .680+ OPS. Sox don’t have one… I don’t care how bad of a situation Getz stepped into. Thats dogshit.5 points

When you make every wrong personnel decision possible, you deserve to be fired4 points

So they had Thorpe throwing with a bone spur? That's interesting.4 points
-
They posted it that last time that was done was 1965 by the Mets. these guys just don’t care, 0 and 10 on the home stand is another record. i know they suck but i would just throw low and outside sliders all game and no hit the Sox. Too easy4 points

10 Ls in a row, 4-36 since the ASB You couldn't be this bad on purpose, if you tried.4 points

Schriffen just said the offense has had trouble scoring runs over this recent stretch. What stretch is that John.? 2022-2024?4 points

Tell them they can witness history. The Sox 107th loss of the season.4 points

Kids already whining about having to watch the “sucky” White Sox. I’m holding strong…experiencing a team this bad helps build character and will make them realize the dangers of wealthy senior citizens with unchecked power.4 points

But it would waste a year. Look at what’s been accomplished this year.3 points

What’s funny is any new owner would immediately fire Getz and bring in an external replacement.3 points
-
A 23 game turn around after this year might not even get them to double digit losses.3 points

39-126 under Getz, but this team nor the one he inherited are in any way his responsibility…🤦🏽♀️3 points

Sad but true. Everything is negative with this organization, everything they do turns to s%*#.3 points

There is no explanation. A bone spur should be readily identifiable on a standard physical for an MLB player.3 points

HBP, Walk, Single, zero runs. The epitome of the team Chris Getz has assembled.3 points

Sosa shouldn’t even be on the team much less batting third. All this losing has gotten to Sizemore, his brain is pickled.3 points

I haven't quit on the team. The team has quit on me. You are right about the next few years. At least.3 points

After a less than careful review of the Sox organization I can find only one guy that really stands out for consistently having his guys ready to win. They look confident, they look ready, and they deliver and that's due to the diligent efforts of Jason Gilliam, the visiting team clubhouse manager. Here's to you Jason! This season wouldn't be as memorable without your professionalism and attention to detail.2 points

I can’t fucking believe they knew about the bone spur and had him throwing. This makes zero sense. I can’t believe his agent didn’t shut it down. This is literally the most incompetent thing I have heard from this organization and that isn’t exactly a high bar…. This is fucking insane.2 points

Congratulations Jerry Reinsdorf and the ownership group.2 points
-
And that’s the problem right now. Obviously Getz took over a bad situation with an awful owner. However, his terrible, terrible trades just keep setting things back.2 points
-
And let's not forget, this is HIS farm system and player development. It was literally his fucking job before being gifted the GM role.2 points

There's about 40 games worth of difference between this season and a typical Hahn season.2 points
-
That was awesome. I’m not going to lie. I took great pleasure in the Mets striking out the side as Sox’ players flailed at down and away sliders to end the game. Best game of the season so far IMO. I laughed harder at this over the last three hours vs. any comedy movie that I can remember.2 points

Any other organization in sports would have fired him. This is a total organizational collapse.2 points

All that being said, it’s wild that we once went from having a quartet of Thomas, Konerko, Ordonez, & Lee at the traditional power positions to Vaughn, Sheets, Fletcher, & Benintendi. What an abomination of an offense.2 points

I would take Robert in a heartbeat over PCA. Robert doesn’t have single legitimate hitter to provide him protection and is playing for the worst team in baseball history. Put him on a competitive club and I’d wager serious money he’s back to his normal star self.2 points
-
Or even more so that a lot of the present problems happened while he was in charge, and that everything wasn't everyone else's fault.2 points
-
People try really hard to bury the fact he was the minor league director. In the Sox organization there is no accountability.2 points

Don't know if this is related to the dreaded "forearm soreness" or not. If it is, this is actually good news, because it means TJS isn't in the short term forecast. But it is interesting that the MRI's they did, and the Sox publicly stated there was nothing wrong with the UCL, how could they not see a bone spur? And why did it take them weeks to find it? Perhaps the trainers/doctors on the site can explain this.2 points

U... S Umm, uh Getz: Wow, its Vargas! Let me get the Dodgers on the phone sir!2 points

The lasting memory I have of Ron LeFlore as a White Sox was him playing CF. Someone hit a routine flyball that bounced off his head, knocked him down ala TA with Jose Ramirez, and the batter running around the bases for a 4 base error.2 points
-
This is, after all, the organization that thinks Miguel Vargas will be a middle of the line up hitter.2 points

Is this a serious question? They have a ton of pitching depth and some high end options. Their pitching infrastructure is awesome right now and it's the reason why the White Sox have an upper third system. I don't give Janish the credit for the pitching either but I also wouldn't blame the lack of hitting development on him either.2 points

As of today Cubs have a 5% chance of making the post season. That's UP from 3% at the end of July. They'll finish with a winning record but they aren't going to the postseason. (Fingers crossed)1 point
